Very happy day to you,
Today, I write to share with you the back screen of the AUTHOR, who wrote the recent thriller novel, DEAD LINE, whom I find him unique and inspiring. Why I say so?
Perhaps some of you may know him and he is none other than Mr. Richard Sanders. He has taken courage to share his dark side openly through his novel. This made him unique as he did not let his old bondage hold him back, yet this forward looking successful author did a u turn to live life afresh as a green leaf. He often speak to young journalists and try to use himself as an example for inspiration - a guy who spent time in jail, rehab and a psych ward on to become a successful editor at Time Inc. and managed to stay sane and alive. Now he has tried to reflect those experiences in this book. As such, I am certain that you will agree with me that this will make this novel a good read, with excitement and inspiration.
For a quick taste, PLEASE CLICK AT THE TITLE OF THIS ARTICLE.
Here, I must highlight another good lesson can be learnt here. Never let the bondage hold him back, but to forgive and forget about. What is more important is to look forward to make things better for yourself and others. No one can change the history but to learn from it. Otherwise it is a real waste.
His other quality that set him apart from other people is he dares to open up to others, one of the successful ingredient.
His book is part of the Quinn MeShane series, dubbed by Kindle Nation as "Sam Spade meets Kinky Friedman." and it's available at Amazon and/or the Kindle store, Smashwords, the iPad's iBooks store, Barnes & Noble, Sony, Goodreads, Google, Kobo and Diesel.
To make thing easy, I even append the book at the top left side of this article at a click of your finger. Hope you can get hold of the book and revert the feedback to us after you have read it for the benefit of other readers. Thank you for your participation.
Stay tuned and I will bring more inspiring books to lift you up, as the name of this blog suggested.

NEW RECORD FOR LIMBLESS SWIMMER
A very great day to all of you,
This eye catching news, Limbless swimmer set to cross continents, arrested my immediate attention. Amazing and very inspiring, Right? Many good lessons can be learnt here.
He is none other than Philippe Croizon, 43, who lost both his arms and legs in an electrical accident 17 years ago. However, this did not stop him from turning it into opportunity. He did not regard it as a barrier, but set to swim across 5 continents in waters marked by sharks, poisonous jellyfish, icy currents and cargo ships. He has gained his fame by swimming across the English Channel with no arms or legs, and aimed for more big challenges to overcome. Marvelous and he is really the man who inspire us to achieve a new record, no matter what happened. A true WINNER of our choice. He had proven a point that you too can stay in control of yourself, no matter what condition you are in, so long as you don't give up your hope and stay alive.
This "I'm possible" man sent a clear and loud message of hope and of life to all his fellow companions in misfortunate after his recent success. He really rocks the world and gives hope to everyone. Big thanks to him for his care and concern for the world.
This forward looking man, who lost his limbs after he was hit by a 20,000-volt charge in 1994 as he tried to dismantle a television antenna from a house roof, does not stop there. But he intends to set another new record, has begun preparing one year ahead to swim hundreds of kilometers in waters connecting five continents from May to August. With this new challenge, he and the rest intend to accomplish an act of peace, of solidarity, of sharing with all skin colours, cultures and back-grounds combined, which is timely. This reminds me of the saying that life is just like cycling, you need to peddle to keep it moving. So, spread the news and give him whatsoever support you could. Thanks.
In the first round, he will swim some 20km in the Pacific Ocean separating Wutung, Papua New Guinea to another coastal village in Indonesia, accompanied by long-distance swimming champion Arnaud Chassery, 34.
Thereafter, both will then swim 25km in June in the Gulf of Aqaba, from Jordan to the Eqyptian coast. Followed by thier continent-hopping from Africa to Europe via the Straits of Gibraltar, rubbing shoulders with cargo ships that sail through this checkpoint a month after.
If all goes well as planned, the most spectacular event will be held at the end of August in the Bering Strait separating Russia with the Asian continent - a round trip of many kilometers in waters close to zero degrees celsius. Wow! Such long and challenging tasks await these two men to accomplish.
Trust the above is another proven evidence that support the truth that you can achieve what you conceive so long as you do not give up. Success is surely and slowly on the way.
Here, we as usual will put them in our prayers list and look forward for another great record to be set, but also the message will be widely spread to the world at large.
Here, we urge you to condition yourself with this good and invaluable information to make you strong and live the life you wanted. As such, we all need to stay inspired at all times to overcome the new challenges we are going to face through our daily lives. I must admit that I had benefited very much through writing and sharing such stories with you.
Please email me such kind of stories of yours if you like to share with others whom will get inspired by you. I strongly believe everyone has such a story to tell because we chose to be a Winner and control our lives. In this connection, I like to reaffirm that I need some like minded people to work together to make us stronger.
We can safely sum this up as follow:-
So, if you find yourself in a situation that is not bringing you joy, remember, there is a way out. By discovering and rewiring the underlying limiting beliefs, you can free yourself from pain and change your whole world.
To our success,

OPRAH WINFREY AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE SERVANT LEADERSHIP
OPRAH WINFREY AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE SERVANT LEADERSHIP
Very happy day, Everyone.
The news recently that Hollywood's A-list celebrities bid a star-studded farewell to Oprah Winfrey in a double-taping of her talk show that included messages from her fans around the world is worthy of praise and commendation. Have you ever ponder that the lady, without holding any key position, yet command such a high respect from all walk of lives? If you do, then what is her success recipe?
Today, I like to say it was mainly attributable from her servant leadership style. Some of you may wonder why I say so. She has a deep true passion to serve people with unconditional love. She showed love without looking at colour because love is colourless, well recorded in most, if not all true religious teaching.
Oprah is a role model for what empowering people is all about. Oprah has never stopped showing people how big they can be. All her programs are about empowering people and about seeing life from a bigger picture. She teaches people how huge their own potential is and how great they can become, by taking the steps and moving ahead with their own lives. In that sense she is a true leader, she is a great example of how Leadership works. She is a role model for what servant leadership is all about.
No surprise to me that she was recently voted as the world the Number 1 most influencial lady. I can feel the love at her show at Chicago's United Center on May 17, 2011 night, which she almost instantly thank them for it. For those who have attended such shows, please step forward to vouch for it. She thanks everyone for being a part of this celebration, which is still gaining momentum even it has been for 25 years. Amazing, right?
One important point to be noted at that function is that 13,000 of her fans, who attended that event gave the talk show host a standing ovation. A respect she truly deserved and earned.
The show was also followed by several meaningful and colourful programmes. Those who already know her well will not dispute that her graceful acts always inspire and touch every heart & soul. She rally can rock the world, she will fight for things she believes in, even if it makes her less popular. Thus, she makes herself distinctly different from other leaders. She had truly build a long lasting legacy which will flourish from time to time.
You can imagine how wonderful and colourful the atmosphere on that night, surrounded by so many great songs such as Mission Impossible, For God, Somewhere Over the Rainbow and Isn't She Lovely, to portray well the lady who uses her gifts to uplift so many hearts, through all of the sacrifices she has made, humility she has and through God's amazing grace.
This well illustrate the point that this long proven and established success recipe is not obsolete, but still relevant in the 21 century and in the future which I strongly believe so.
This truly inspired me and I hope you too are inspired by her. Let us together urge all world leaders to prescribe to her recipe of success, Servant Leadership, to make a world a very much better place to stay. So, let us put her excellent leadership on record for us to adopt and apply. Let us work together to make it a reality. This is nothing impossible if we work together towards it.
Thank you for your precious time and look forward to hearing your feedback.

ALL ABOUT THE AUTHOR, HARESH AND HIS BOOK
ALL ABOUT THE AUTHOR, HARESH AND HIS BOOK
My dear Readers,
It gives me great pleasure to have you here. Hope you are fine as I am.
Today I decided to pass some of the benefits, which I have obtained after joining the Goodread Social Network to you. You are more than welcome to join it. To make things more exciting, I decided to introduce one of the author friends I get to know from this network, he is none other than Mr. Haresh. After some conversation with him, I discovered that both of us have some common interests.
To know him better, append below please find his information, his recent book and the ratings he received from other authors from the same network.
It is important to note that for the most part of this book is an expression of his philosophical thoughts and pondering, as it evolves over time. If it is your cup of tea, then get hold of the book and share with us your findings after you have read the book.
We, at this blog are firm believers of prosperity through diversity, as such we always cover diverse daily affairs so that, you too will ultimately be lifted up as we are. Thank you for your continuous support and stay tuned for more inspiring news.
Have a new discovery,
About The Author :
An entrepreneur, environmentalist, racer, wine lover, writer, and many more random things. Haresh has started writing through poetry and upon its mastery (mostly boredom, you cannot truly master writing as it is an evolving process) has shifted to experimenting with essay and short stories.
Haresh's passion in short story lies in being able to dwell within the universe of consciousness and experimenting, dissecting, and in short, exploring and destroying and recreating thoughts, concepts, interjecting hallucinations and twists focused on something deeper, engaging the reader to jump in and explore together.
An author having a conversation with his fictional character, or losing control of his character, mind numbing points leading to twists and turns spinning the mind of the reader with hallucinogenic colors, concepts, and eurekas.
The short stories begin simply, and walks together with the author as he takes a personal journey deep within the universe of his own consciousness, dwelling, prodding, dissecting, and creating...
This book is a play on different writing styles uniquely conjured by the writer from random inspiration and experimentation with poetry as prior experience.
This is a chronological anthology spanning the imagination and sanity of the writer. This book is a collection of humour, satire, and philosophy, with the most unique writing style and twists.
This book evolves as one reads, from basic and simple stories of humor, to deeper and more profound satire best savored twice.

Haresh Daswani is not your usual author, and it is no surprise he’s written a pretty unusual book. The title “Evolution of Insanity” is an exercise in truthful advertising. Either Daswani is nuts or he’s operating on a level way up there in the stratosphere.
The book is a collection of short chapters that contain virtually no dialogue. The descriptions of simple things take on a kind of poetic oscillation that are always moving and impossible to pin down.
This book abandons standard narrative structure and embraces a James Joyce type stream-of-consciousness that will make you sometimes smile and sometimes scratch your head. I liked it. It felt fresh and different from the norm, even if I don’t feel smart enough to understand all of it.

The Evolution of Insanity is a collection of tales, stories, and fables about a variety of beings. Imagine for a moment you are able to stop and listen, see, witness and understand a segment of the lives of a collection of beings - Gods, godlike, god hating and god wannabes, the dead, the living, the fictional, the alien, male, female, the young and the old.
Stories that would have you believe that Santa was killed, "tongue in cheek" stories, stories intermingled with intellectual descriptions of body functions, of the human despair and condition. Stories like the one about a long suffering psychiatrist finding his "emotional wastebasket", Adam and Eve personas, Herman of whom we all know one of, the passing of the torch of thoughts and observation as depicted in "London in the Mind". Stories that enlighten us about the complexities of the interrelationships between the opposite sexes.

I have always been interested in books that deviate from the typical writing styles present in most literary pieces. Books that feature intellectually stimulating themes and an equally rousing writing style are my weaknesses. Give me the promise of these things and I will surely devour that book until my curiosity is sated. I think this is one of the reasons why I have always loved reading transgressive fiction and post-modern books.
In many ways, Mr. Haresh Daswani’s book, The Evolution of Insanity, gave me my much needed doze of intellectual stimulation through the interesting ways he worded his anthology and the eerily realistic plot points that will surely leave you thinking.
If I was given a dollar for every utterance of “Oo nga noh!” I would’ve been a rich girl by now. I remember the countless of times I stopped reading because I was bombarded with mind numbing bouts of self realization after reading a particularly sharp and moving line. I would then continue reading only to stop and ponder some more… it’s truly an eye opener! Mr. Daswani’s witty writing style gives the reader a better experience of what it is like to find sanity in the "insane" and vice versa.
I love how both subtlety and bluntness played with each other fairly well in this book. If Chuck Palahniuk and Paulo Coelho made a novel together, I bet it would be just like Mr. Daswani’s The Evolution of Insanity…an intellectually filling piece packed humor, wit and philosophy.
Truly, this book kept its promise… it sparked my interest, fueled my fascination to continue reading and left me wanting for more.

Kaleidoscope.
A kaleidoscope is made up of small colored pieces. And when they are turned and given a different angle, they jell into one beautiful scene.
That is what I would associate Haresh’s book with.
Like a kaleidoscope, Evolution of Insanity is made up of different pieces, each a unique reflection of the author’s wild imagination. Each story piece has an exceptional storyline that would simply leave the reader in questioning awe, wondering where in this world could Haresh have possibly picked up that twist.
The variety of themes of the short stories also makes up the pieces of the kaleidoscope. The themes run a wide range – from spirituality to philosophy to life to beauty … of girls. All with profundity wrapped in wit and dry humor.
These short stories put together in one book reveal the beauty of a kaleidoscope.
P.S.
Caution: Read at your own risk.
This book is not for the faint-hearted. You must have your mind so open, your heart so universal, your humor so flexible, and your imagination so border-free to take utmost pleasure from reading this book.

First of all, I would like to thank the author of this book, Mr. Haresh Daswani, for giving me a copy of this book, and the opportunity to read it and give my thoughts about it.
And now, for the review. Obviously, I would not be thanking the author as publicly if I had not enjoyed this book. It is witty, entertaining, filled with crackling anecdotes, and hilarious commentary. Best of all, it is fraught with intelligent observations of how we humans live.
Let me go so far as to say that this book is best read when you are in your most intellectual mood, as it would dare you to think beyond the words of what is written and delve into the author's mind about how he views things. In a way, I felt that this was not just a book created from the author's imagination, but a reflection of how the author views the world. One would laugh at the humor-filled statements, the comic scenes and settings, but once one understood the essence of such remarks, one could not help but nod and say, "Yes, that is quite true. Why did I not think of that myself?" Or maybe even add one's own ideas, maybe disagree with what has been said? Either way, one is challenged to agree or refute the author's ideology and rationalize one's own beliefs.
Reading through Daswani's book, I could not help but be reminded of those times in Philosophy class in college. His writing makes the reader think that they are having a conversation with someone else, probably a very favorite teacher, a smart friend, or better yet, the author himself. Which reminded me of those times when we studied Socrates and how he conducted his discussions with his students. Now I am not saying that Daswani is a modern-day Socrates, but what he talked about in this book could spark a lively debate in any Philosophy class and if I were still in college right now, I'd probably bring Evolution of Insanity to school and make our professor torture the whole class with intense conversations about the things talked about in this book.
Which is not to say that this book is only good for super-intelligent conversations or musings. You can also read this solely for its entertainment value, and probably use a few lines from this book as your new joke or ice breakers. The possibilities are endless.
His writing style is also one for the books. In one chapter, he would go all narrative-like and describe in witty detail a funny story and in another, he would abandon all thought for story-telling and write ideas, observations in prose - straightforward and directly addressing readers, oftentimes even issuing a challenge.
Simply put, this book is a good one to have on your shelf to read during moments of boredom, moments of severe bursts of intellect, moments of good conversations, and practically any moment that you would prefer to read. Which, in my case, is very often.

A REAL EXPERIENCE WHICH YOU SHOULD NOT MISS
A REAL EXPERIENCE WHICH YOU SHOULD NOT MISS
Hi! Everyone,
After reading through this invaluable real life experience from the article, as append at the bottom of this post, which I found at http://www.mortylefkoe.com/happy-turned-be, I must admit that I too have prescribed this success formula in the past, almost similar to the author of this blog, to overcome the issues we had encountered at that time. Today, it turns out to be a blessing that the author decided to share his experience as a way out for those who may need it.
I am deeply touched by his act and subsequently I not only attest to his success formula, but it also struck my mind, to immediately dropped him an email to seek his permission to link this article to my blog, which he subsequently consented to. That's how you are able to read his article as I did. Trust it will be useful to you too.
I write to express my heartfelt thanks to this author who has just celebrated his 74 years young. I noted his photo is amazingly younger than his biological age.
Trust you too find it an excellent lesson for us to stop giving meaning to events, but rather to look at them in a positive way so as to avoid them causing any unnecessary stress to our lives.
Before I end, I hope you too will spread this article to your circle of contacts to show your care and love, which I strongly believe you will do so.
Thank you in advance.
His article:-
Are You Happy With Who You Turned Out To Be?
by Morty Lefkoe on May 17, 2011
For most of my life I didn’t want to be me. I was so unhappy with my life that being almost anyone else would have been preferable to being me. For many years I wanted to be Fred Astaire, because I loved the joyful, bright sense of life he projected, an experience that I rarely felt.
What is the source of this dramatic shift?
Getting rid of all the beliefs and conditionings that led me to be depressed and unhappy most of the time. And then learning how to stop giving meaning to the daily events in my life. Today I experience myself as the creator of my life almost all the time and I’ve stopped giving meaning to events most of the time, which has almost totally eliminated stress from my life. I’ve stopped seeking; I know I’m already there. I feel anything is possible and that I have no limitations. I experience virtually all my circumstances as okay just the way they are.
Why am sharing this with you?
Because what I did to reach this state is available to you too. Anyone (including you, yes, even you!) can experience a sense of wholeness, feeling totally okay with the way you are, and that you are the creator of your life. It doesn’t have to take a lot of time and it isn’t very expensive.
Please don’t give up your dream of a life of joy and success. I was about as low as you can get and I’ve now reached a state of total satisfaction with my life. You can too. Don’t wait until your 74th birthday to be truly happy with your life.

GIVEAWAYS FROM ONE OF MY FELLOW FRIENDS
Dear Readers,
I decided to blog this out after obtaining permission, from one of my fellow friends of Blog Book, for me to do so.
You may participate in it at http://letsbookit.blogspot.com/ as a token of my appreciation to your support, as my blog readers.
Sunday, 22 May 2011Blog tours and giveaways galore!
The thought has just breeched my, occasionally, dense brain, that June will be a rather exciting month here on the blog. At least two giveaways - one of them rather on the huge side, and two blog tours. You guys are in for a treat!!
The first giveaway is the much anticipated (at least by me) May chick-lit giveaway. I'm opening that one today. Take a look at the books I've reviewed this month, pick your favorite and enter on this post. Just post a comment with your e-mail address and the book you would like to receive should you win. Good luck choosing - I've reviewed some gooders this month.
Here is a list of the contenders linked to the review:
Blood Ties by Kay Hooper - a psychic mystery with some serious romance thrown in.
The Luxe by Anna Godberson - A great, clean Victorian romance with some suspence.
A Great Place for a Seizure by Terry Tracy - The twist at the end is a total suprise.
What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty - What if amnesia erased the last ten years of your life?
The Dressmaker of Khair Khana by Gayle Tzemach Lemmon - non-fiction chick lit?
Wrecker by Summer Wood - not chick lit but a May Review so it counts.
Consider your options and enter soon. In order to have this one cleaned up before the next, (no, I cannot do two at once. That requires more organizational skills than I could ever hope to have.) the winner will be chosen June 3, 2011. It's an international giveaway, so there's no excuse not to enter. Good luck all!!

ANOTHER GRACEFUL ACT
ANOTHER GRACEFUL ACT
Hi! Everyone,
The news, Buddhist who donates to mosques and suraus, in the Star dated May 19, 2011 attracted my attention and interest. After reading it, I find it is worthy of commendation and praise.
This good Samaritan, a mini market operator Tan Jai Wei, 46 has a big heart and is full of love. He is married and has two children, that he held a vegetable carnival to collect donations for the construction of a mosque in Taman Kenari six years ago was truly amazing. He decided to help a friend whom he had met at his Wang Shang mini market, Taman Kenari, the day before. He believes that this graceful action has made his business flourish. He reaps what he sows is well recorded in most, if not all, religious teaching.
From being only a retailer, he is now the main distributor for a rice mill based in Yan.
His care and love well indicate that true love is of no color and boundary, well recorded in all religious teaching. His graceful act well reflects his faith. Through these good inter faith practices, we can safely infer that prosperity and harmony will be preserved especially in countries which have many religions.
As such, we are very impressed with Mr. Tan's graceful act and trust that more people will follow his foot step so as to avoid any manipulation by certain irresponsible parties.
Let us be clear that no good religion will allow disgraceful act from its followers. This is because its followers will always carry the image of his faith no matter how.
Trust the above act serve as a good lesson for every reader. So let Love guide our daily life so as we will be rest assured of the peace we deserved.
Thank you for your precious time and do spread this good news to your circle of contacts. Thank you in advance.

TAI CHI - GOOD FOR ELDERLY, REAFFIRMED BY RECENT JOINTLY RESEARCH
TAI CHI - GOOD FOR ELDERLY, REAFFIRMED BY RECENT JOINTLY RESEARCH
Dear Folks,
I am pleased to announce the recent medical studies jointly conducted by Edzard Ernst of the University of Exeter, southern England and Myeong Soo Lee of the Korean Institute of Oriental Medicine. These researchers gave Thumbs, Toe and Tongue up to Tai Chi as a way of preventing falls and improving health in the elderly, but does not confirm other claims made for the Chinese martial art.
This centuries old martial art practices is based on tenets in Confucian and Buddhist philosophies that health was governed by two opposing forces, comprise of Yin and Yang. It basically entails regular practice of deep breathing and relaxation techniques, coupled with slow and gentle body's movements.
This art has been well received by the populations in Oriental and Western world and also constantly reviewed by medical experts of its claims. This time, the above researches derived their findings based on the examination of 35 assessments of Tai Chi found in English-language, Chinese and Korean databases.
They found "convincingly positive" evidence that, among the elderly, practising Tai Chi helped sense of balance and boosted psychological well-being. This finding will further enhance confidence among the practitioners to spread this healthy activity to larger populations.
However, it "appears to be ineffective" for treating symptoms of cancer and arthritis as some quarter claimed. The evidence also contradicts other claims such as Tai Chi improved high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, muscle strength, osteoporosis and other conditions.
This may be flawed by many studies due to their poor design or their biasness. For instance, they may select a small numbers of volunteers or lacked an adequate "control" group to arrive at a just and fair comparison.
More over, this exercise also believe to make a considerable difference to the collective energy field and goes some way toward diminishing the pain-body by reducing thinking and generating Presence. (Page 158, A New World, Eckhart Tolle)
The above finding also appeared in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, published by the British Medical Association (BMA).
Overall, we can safely infer that this healthy exercise is definitely good for elderly folks and they should not be clouded by any unnecessary doubts. But continue to enjoy it for their health as it has been proven and reaffirmed by the recent research.
And I love hearing from my readers! So, if you would like to contact me, you can drop me an email at jamesoh2003@yahoo.co.uk

ANOTHER MILESTONE SET BY SOLAR PLANE
As usual, I read through the Sunday Star, May 15, 2011 and noticed another new milestone set by Solar plane reported under the world column.
First, there is a positive note for the world as lots of people have put up their efforts and time to create a better world. It was reported that a solar energy plane had made the world's first international flight powered by the sun to show the potential for pollution-free air travel.
I recalled very well that I was very impressed with this little country, with lots of natural beautiful scenary and superb duper air quality during my stay there, more than a decade ago. And today, I found that the Solar Impulse took off from an airfield at Payerne in western Switzerland on the last Friday morning and landed at Brussels airport after 13-hour flight set another new milestone.
This is remarkably incredible as they are taking this project seriously to demonstrate what we can do with existing energy and energy savings.
We, at this blog, agreed with the project co-founder that it is symbolic to be able to go from one place to another using solar energy. This will not only reminds us of the bright side of it. But it also shows to the world that there are people who cares and are concern with this planet.
The Solar Impulse project began in 2003 with a 10-year budget of Euro 90 million and has involved engineers from Swiss lift maker Schindler and research aid from Belgian chemicals group Solvay. In this connection, we write to express our sincere thanks to these two bodies for making this project into a reality.
The plane, which requires 12,000 solar cells, embarked on its first flight in April 2010 and completed a 26-hour flight, a record flying time for a solar powered aircraft, three months later.
However, it had been a great challenge to fit a slow-flying plane into the commercial air traffic system. With an average flying speed of 70kph, Solar Impulse is not an immediate threat to commercial jets, which can easily cruise at more than 10 times the speed.
Secondly, it brings great news to humans as the above well illustrated a point that there is a great opportunity for us to take this successful project further so as to address the global warming issues.
Thirdly, a larger prototype is scheduled to fly around the world in 2013 and we trust more organizations will chip in and lend them whatever support to this noble project, which we believe majority will do. As such, we shall spread this good news around and make people aware of their noble intention and efforts so as to make a brighter world.
Thanks for your precious time to read this article and please help us to spread this news through your contacts, so as to help you in return.

FIRST MALAYSIAN-BORN MAYOR IN BRITIAN
FIRST MALAYSIAN-BORN MAYOR IN BRITIAN
Very warm welcome here,
In response to the message, Aim For Impossible, advocated by our YB Datuk Seri Idris Jala, another breakthrough record is achieved by our fellows Malaysian, Miss Helen Chuah, born and raised in Penang. She will take oath tomorrow to be the first non-English mayor in England. We, at this blog, trust all Malaysian will welcome of this great hero and feel proud of her achievement, which stands tall in the world stage.
The above news was reported in the Star, May 17, 2011 and we also take the similar initiative to spread this news to our circle of contacts, which we trust will give hope and confidence specially to our fellows Malaysian who pursue such a direction of success. This evidence has strongly suggested that lots of Malaysian have been trying to work hard to restore her former glory. Such fruitful outcomes had surfaced recently and well indicate that there are plenty of opportunities outside Malaysia, for us to excel in whatsoever endeavour we are taking because our knowledge is world class, as claimed by our previous achiever Mr. Ong.
It was also reported that Miss Helen Chuah, 61, who loves her curry mee, will be taking the badge and robes of the mayor's office of the city of Colchester in a ceremony held at the city's Moot Hall. This city is located about 100 km northeast of London. Both heroes, aged 60 plus have shown us that age is of no barrier in achievement and give rises of hope of second prime time for those who have missed out their 40-50 first prime time. As such, both of them have proven that "refirement" should replace retirement of the age of less than 60. Please don't get me wrong here, I am never against anyone who have decided to retire much earlier. We respect their decision and of course we do congratulate those who afford to do so.
She told Star the day before that she felt very honored and privileged to be elected as the first non-English mayor of this historic town of Britain, and would wish to foster ties between Colchester and Malaysia. She is truly a good spoke person who has the passion to promote Malaysian culture, food and possible business links as well. Well done, Helen and we all love and are proud of you. You truly possess the Malaysian spirit which always does the best for our country. We write to inform you that we are more than happy to will give you all our support, as 1Malaysia's spirit, we could.
We were told that she was a student from St. George's Girls' School in Penang, left to be trained as a nurse in Britian in 1971. She was described by her younger brother, Kean Chee, 58, a retiree staying in Bukit Jambul, as her enthusiasm in charity work had been a source of inspiration for his two sons. Here, we can safely say that we are also inspired by her as well.
Despite her past 40 years staying in Britain, she still has a close relationship with Malaysia by returning to her homeland every year. She even visited her former school and impressed the principal Shariffah Afifah Syed Abbas two months ago, whom she described as a humble and outstanding person.
No surprise that Helen's success story also attracted the attention of Malaysia-born Westminister City Council Chinese Community liaison officer, David Tan, who said he was happy to hear this good news, like all Malaysians.
One thing we feel sorry for her is that both her late parents and none of her siblings will be available there to attend and witness such a meaningful ceremony. In this connection, we at the same time, wanted her to know that she is not alone and she is always in our hearts.
Please click 'like' in FB to lend your support and care to her and wishing her a great success in the near future. Big thank to you in advance.

We write, in response to the recent news that WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange was awarded the Sydney Peace Foundation's top honour for "exceptional courage in pursuit of human rights", as a noble and timely move. This is in line with the notion that the truth should be upheld so as to preserve the world's peace. Do not forget that we are living in the modern technology era where information can be easily and speedily disseminated. As such, high integrity of information should be preserved at any cost; without fear and favour.
Assange, an Australian former computer hacker who is fighting extradition from Britain to Sweden over alleged sex crimes, was highly praised and fairly rewarded with Sydney Peace Prize's Gold Medal. His bold action of disclosing the truth should be an excellent example for us to follow.
In this foundation's 14-year history of annually awarding such prizes, only 3 have been awarded the gold award for courage in pursuit of human rights, these are for Dalai Lama, Nelson Mandela and Japanese Buddhist leader Daisaku Ikeda. Such a great honour is highly recognised and sought after. As such, Assange being awarded for his determination to seek greater transparency and accountability from governments around the world. His huge and challenging task of dismantling "centuries old practices of government secrecy" should be viewed in a positive note in line with human rights fundamental notion.
By championing people right's right to know, both Wikileaks and Julian Assange have put journalism on a new landscape that truly allows free flow of information. With such drastic changes, people have rights to demand for a free flow of information, without interference, so as they can make an well informed decisions. Such fundamental right to access to information should be healthily cultivated so as avoid any manipulation of information, so to speak.
It is timely to extend best practices and more transparency into the journalism industry. This new landscape is timely required to replace the centuries old practices of concealing government secrets, which are occasionally misused by certain irresponsible parties to conceal their ugly agenda, which we have been seen from time to time.
As such, we at this blog urge the readers to click 'Like" to show your support and care for this healthy and best practices being made by all parties. In doing so, we trust that the increasingly awareness of accountability will put an end to the old practices, but we as a whole have the right to demand for a better world to live in.
Thanks for your kind support and participation to ensure a better world to live in. However, we need to constantly get our voices heard and making a just and fair demand until it is fully delivered. Having said that we also need to be reminded that we should not compromise for anything less.
This is an opportunity for those who wanted the truth prevails, to extend us their support to us so as to make it a reality. Together we make it happen.

ANOTHER GREAT ACHIEVEMENT BY MALAYSIAN
Dear friends,
Further to our recent article on "Can Do" spirit, we write to bring you another great achievement attained by another Malaysian, which many of you may know of. He is none other than Mr. Ong See Lian, who will be the 130th president of the London-based professional body beginning July 4 for the 2011-2012 session. Big congratulations to Mr. Ong, who is standing tall on the world stage as the Royal institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has, for the first time in its 143-year existence, elected a non-British president.
This healthy move is very welcome and encourage more nations to follow suit.
Mr. Ong, the 60-year-old man from Petaling Jaya, attributed his secret of success to his unwavering dedication to work. This is a well established and proven success formula, which the readers can also apply it to achieve their success.
To him, commitment and putting his best are two main successful ingredients which got him recognised and honoured to be elected. He is very proud to be a Malaysian. In this connection, we at this blog, are deeply proud of him and his achievement and trust he will be another great model for us to follow. This well illustrated the point that there are Malaysians who are working hard to bring back its former glory silently.
It was also reported that he hope this appointment will spur Malaysians forward due to the fact that our knowledge is world-class. As such, he urged Malaysians to have confidence and know how to articulate our ideas to others, he also attributed his election to being able to communicate with members in UK and China. This opportunity has opened doors to those who are pursuing in this direction of success.
During the recent exclusive interview with the Star at his Mutiara Damansara home, he sees one of his primary challenges as the new president of RICS is to engage more UK members to see the relevance of expanding into Asia, which has been registering the highest economical growth due to China factor.
Here, we write to take this opportunity to wish him all the best and we trust he has all the capabilities required to bring himself greater success.
In this connection, we trust the above news will inspire us to be better than what we can, in line with our 'Malaysian Boleh", can do, spirit.
