my recent Consultation with my Surgeon on March 26
A very good and awesome day to everyone.
I have just completed my consultation with my surgeon. He was very happy to welcome me at his clinic. He congratulated me for almost completing my chemotherapy and wholeheartedly encouraged me to undergo the last treatment on April 3.
My last consultation with him was when I experienced difficulty in stopping my bleeding due to my low platelet count.
With his examination and assurance, I am gaining momentum and confidence that I am in the right direction in winning my fight against the big C....
With his advice which I highly regard, I will be focussing my attention on my last treatment on April 3.
He also advised me not to have any restrictions on my food intake and eat whatever I can and like. He also drew my attention to the fact that it is easier to lose weight but more difficult to gain weight. Therefore now I do not feel any guilt when I eat my favourite food which to some is taboo. He also encouraged me to eat more fruits, vegetables and drink more water and reminded me to slowly chew my food for easy digestion.
He also warned me not to soak my hands and legs in hot or freezing water as it is not good and will hurt me even more.
He advised me to do a pat scan at the end of my April after completing my whole course of 12 treatments and thereafter normal scans.
Hurrah !! Hallelujah!! I am rejoicing and excited as I look forward to my new lease of life without fortnightly visits to the hospital and no more ingestion of drugs.
Thanks for your prayers and support given to me from time to time.
With unconditional love,
James Oh
