my childhood’s mentor
Grace to everyone,
Mr Ho was my primary school teacher who was also one of my earliest mentor. He had spent a lot of effort to mould me, to build up my thinking skills as well as my character. This had laid the foundation stone for me to further shape up my character.
Mr Ho not only thought me to think ahead but also to strategize my movements so as to advance my game regardless of I started with white or black set.
As a result of this training, I am going to use the techniques of the chess game as one of the pillars in my entrepreneurial thinking skills program.
Apart from Mr Ho, I am also blessed with other mentors which have contributed directly or indirectly in shaping and building a more positive and better me.
Another lesson which Mr Ho taught me was to utilise limited resources efficiently and effectively to maximise the game no matter what happened.
To advance in life is to focus and tread carefully on every step ahead and to let go of the past.
To conclude, life is like a chess game. Every step has a cumulative effect on the overall welfare of your life. Therefore think deeply and wisely before you consider making any move.
Share with us your mentorship experience in the comment column provided below. We love to hearing from you.
With unconditional love,
James Oh
