TOP 10 GREEN CITIES IN ASIA PACIFIC

TOP 10 GREEN CITIES IN ASIA PACIFIC
A very great day to everyone,

In today's article I write to bring you good news on Green Issues, which are the most important discussed issues amongst the world leaders. We can't afford to ignore it as the world's disasters happen not only more frequently but also become more damaging in term of its magnitude.

Here, I have a good news to share with you on the recent green city survey. Tokyo, the capital of Japan, has been named the greenest city in the Asia-Pacific region by the specialist consulting firm, Solidiance. Followed by the remaining top 10 cities in this region as follows:-

2) Seoul, South Korea
3) Melbourne, Australia
4) Singapore
5) Osaka, Japan
6) Sydey, Australia
7) Auckland, Australia
8) Busan, South Korea
9) Taipei, Taiwan
10) Hongkong, China

The evaluation criteria used are based on their CO2 emissions, energy usage, transportation facilities, air quality, water, waste treatment, "green space" and "environment government".

Big congratulation to all the above countries. Their actions have really shown that they truly care and love this planet. Another worthy point to note is that making a country progress and at the same time maintaining a green country is possible and never discount on this.

Here, they have set a good model for the rest to follow. Let us ask ourselves a simple question - If we don't care, who else on the earth will care? How could the thousand years of civilization that human beings are proud of, does not reflect these fundamental values?

Hope more of such assessment be done frequently so as to bring awareness and reminders to everyone of this significant issue. At the same time, this exercise will also bring good reputation to those countries that earned high rankings.

In February, Vietnam became the latest country to develop greener urban areas, announcing the construction of a green-tech corridor outside the city of Hanoi and this worthy of praise.

This noble project is expected to be completed over the next 10-15 years, will include renewable energy-powered heating and cooling systems and rainwater collection points. Wish you success, Vietnam.

As shown above, this planet has a great hope as more countries are joining in to participate in these green initiatives. In this connection, it is always good to begin with one individual, no matter how small or big each the contribution. Surely this planet can be saved.

Appreciate if you could do us a favour by reverting us your valuable feedback after you have read it. Thanks and seeing you again.

I think that the company that published the ranking is called Solidiance, not Solidance :)
