HOW YOU BEAT THE INFLATION

Dear Friend, Follower and Fan,
As time goes by, we noticed that everything gets expensive each day. Anything you can name, from food to services. The impact of the increase in the prices of the goods and services that you consumed is called inflation. Make a guess as to what was the Inflation rate last year? The question does not end here. So, ask yourself another question - what is your increase in annual salary that your company pays you? Is it higher or lower than the inflation rate? Congratulation to those who get it’s higher. Otherwise, do you know what it means? It simply means that the money you earned is insufficient to cover for the increase in the services and products that you are consuming every single day which in turns will eat into the money you earned.
How to beat inflation then? Should there be a way where we can pay off our debts and eventually be financially free?
The solution is simple – to INVEST/ CREATE a vehicle that will not only generate income that can beat inflation but also allows you to be Financially Free. So what to invest or create then?
Now the question is how can anyone invests/creates even you are a totally newbie in investing, or you dislike Mathematics, or you know nothing about finance and investing. The fact is that Investing/ creating is simpler that you think. Most of the richest people in the world do not have any formal education. What you need is a little research and patience.
In addition, we are here to provide you financial literacy and mind changing programs which allow you to totally change your financial destiny.

FINDING SOLACE IN DISCOMFORT OF MY LIFE

Finding Solace in Discomfort of my life!

Think about it, my venture into entrepreneurialism was one of the most frightening, discomforting and disturbing days of my life. This is because it was the day I quit my job upon return from foreign land. On that day, I knew there were no more steady paychecks, no more financial security or retirement plans. No more days off for being sick or paid vacations. How insane was I?

However, the world is changing at remarkable speed;the internet has made information so instantaneous that you can learn anything and everything at anytime, anywhere and everywhere in front of your computers. The web has even brought teachers and trainers around the globe into our home. You can learn and master any required skill at your pace and convenience. The computer leads us to be transformed from employee to entrepreneur. The computer empowers us to be entrepreneurs in serving the world which we have been benefiting from. Driving Sustainable Value Creation becomes our mission.

The internet provides us the platform to communicate and market our products and services through email, website, blog and social media. In short, the computer turns out to be our integrated business’ systems. It also furnishes us the tools for accounting and enables us access to required specific legal advice pertinent to our requirements. The computer lets you search the whole world for every supplier you need. The computer is the second powerful tool of the digital entrepreneur that we can’t afford not to have.

The entrepreneur is all about the brains apart from providing effective and quality leadership. Transformation is crucially required in this rapidly changing world. It is not the smartest and the most intelligent people to survive, but the most adaptable.

FOLLOW YOUR OWN GPS

Dear Families, Friends, Followers and Fans,

My father, like many people who have migrated from China to the south, sought his fortune prior to the second world’s war. My siblings were the first generation in Malaysia. I am proud to be the first in my family to graduate with a professional honours degree from a local university. My parents were both illiterate, but 6 out of 7 siblings received higher education.

I am fortunate that my family given me freedom to choose what I wanted to be. No pressure whatsoever, but has its own challenges. My family did not have a business that I could join. I was a science and maths person before I discovered my talent in Accounts by passing my LCCI intermediate book keeping examination which gave my teacher a great surprise.
My smooth sailing into the local university is my only reward I obtained throughout my early life struggles. This was my only hope to move me out from poverty that I have in my mind. I never really thought about career and never had any counseling or mentorship. However, I was not so fortunate and recession came in after my graduation with a degree in Accountings in 1987.  I joined the mid-sized professional firm after nearly 6 months of seeking relentlessly for a job.
After nearly one and half years I made the decision that I could not endure the financial hardship of a very lengthy internship training, so I make a shift into commercial field and become a commercial accountant.
I learned , researched and applied all my know-how to move all the way up to become a Financial Controller after successfully helping an entrepreneur to grow his private limited company to a public limited company. The journey was full of challenges which I truly enjoyed and moulded me to be what I am today. The whole journey turned out to be one of the best things that happened to me.
Now I am an Accountant, prolific writer, trainer cum consultant in the financial and mind changing field. My articles are regularly published in digital printing, online, magazines (Smart Investor, Financial First & Money Compass) and I am a well sought after speaker in financial literacy, economic and mind changing fields. My mission is to help people to explore the invisible and achieve the impossible.

I realized that the first and most important decision a person needs to decide is the selection of the field of your choice. It is most likely that you will be in that industry for the rest of your working life. However, if you decide to change along the way you will pay a switching price with such cost increasing year to year as you make progress in your career. Since this is a long-term commitment I recommend that you chose a field that you believe will flourish over the timeframe of your working life. Most importantly, you should do what you love, that is psychically rewarding that fascinates and endures you through the entire journey.
Once you have made such a decisive action that will offer excitement, enriching and enhancing mobility, keep moving forward with massive action toward your goals.
Be mindful that mature companies oftentimes are stacked up with many layers of management, and newcomer like you basically have to wait for people to retire or die to move ahead.
Young and rapid growth companies tend to offer you the best opportunity. Such opportunities will open up for those who are capable and motivated to take up challenges, and it is naturally offer extremely rapid career advancement too.
Even if you eventually leave for another job you will be coming from a successful company that will endow you with a halo effect — people coming from good careers in successful companies are generally viewed as smarter and more competent and capable than others. This is the common perception of people.
Once you have identified such an opportunity; make things happen in your favor. It is lots and loads easier to get your dream job from inside the company once you have proven yourself.  It would be a huge mistake to forsake the opportunity to join the right company in the right industry by choosing a higher paying job for the sake of the paycheck only. By doing so, you need to strengthen your belief and be better prepared to take more calculated risks than others.

It is of great benefit to think about your future and decide what you want to be ultimately. Having such self-knowledge will determine and guide your decisions and actions. What matters most is your own intuition or GPS and not what others think.

These decisions are central to quality, attitude and your professional development which you need to be shaped accordingly. You should take ownership as you have only one life to live, so make it meaningful and a fulfilling one. You should always keep your own GPS and craft your own personalized path, strategies and vision that conform to the specification you were created in the first place.

In short, this is the best advice I ever received and give this exact advice to my three children!

I AM A DEEPLY GRATEFUL PERSON

Dear Friends, Followers, Fans and family,

Think about it, I am a deeply grateful person. This is because I have so many kind people and souls to be thankful for, including you. I appreciate your support more than you know.

Needless to say that I can easily list the 5 greatest blessings I've had received in life. What I really know is that it was very difficult for me to narrow them down. How about you?

Below please find the 5 greatest defining gifts of my life :-

1. I lucked out with great parents, siblings, souls and friends who sustain and maintain me to be humble, vibrant and adventurous.

2. I had a great teacher cum chess mentor in primary school who believed in me, who trained me to be chess champion leading the school in participating in the Majlis Perbandaran Pulau Pinang (Penang City Council)  chess competition under 12. That led me to believe in my heart that I can overcome many obstacles using my mind power.

3. I was gifted with a “stillborn” child that made me discover my life purpose and passion during my darken day when I lost both. Again, I strengthen my mind to overcome this greatest challenge in my life.

4. I was blessed to meet other great creative experts who are creative, intelligent, innovative, and effectively guided me to put my footprint in training venture.

5. Entrepreneurship.

The last one has driven me to publish an eBook of my journey, Mindset Shift: Employee to Entrepreneur, which you may find  at MIND SHIFT ; EMPLOYEE TO ENTREPRENEUR. Moreover, I wouldn't have met many of you if it wasn't for entrepreneurship...and I'm deeply thankful for you.

By starting my own brand and new venture I've had to learn, enjoy and receive so much. It has opened my eyes to personal responsibility, leadership, trust, faith, hope, vision, joy, abundance,  dedication, art and service. One thing I am pretty sure is that starting or scaling a business can change your life in so many ways. I must confess that I perfectly executed the model I share.

I just want to let you know that you will have lots of experience of stepping out of your comfort zone and contribute greatly with your gifted talents, experience and skill. I walk my talk; my proven strategies and vision have truly helped me build a business and life that I'm proud of.

You may have a lot of ideas, concepts, hobbies, talents, experience, passions and limitless potential. Put those to work every single day no matter what you do, so, make your life enriching and fulfilling ones. You have one life to live and reward it with experience so that you will not regret at later day.

EDUCATION, OPPORTUNITY AND EATING BITTERNESS

World Chess Champion.

China used to be one of the most sexist societies in the world — with female infanticide, foot binding, and concubinage — but it turned a corner and now is remarkably good at giving opportunities to girls as well as boys.
China’s national commitment to education, opportunity and eating bitterness
吃苦 — those are qualities that we in the West might emulate as well.

 World Chess Champion.

China Rises, and Checkmates
By NICHOLAS D. KRISTOF
BEIJING

If there’s a human face on Rising China, it belongs not to some Politburo chief, not to an Internet tycoon, but to a quiet, mild-mannered teenage girl named Hou Yifan.
Hou Yifan, the new women’s world chess champion, is the youngest person, male or female, ever to win a world championship. Ms. Hou (whose name is pronounced Ho Ee-fahn) is an astonishing phenomenon: at 16, she is the new women’s world chess champion the youngest person, male or female, ever to win a world championship. And she reflects the way China — by investing heavily in education and human capital, particularly in young women — is increasingly having an outsize impact on every aspect of the world.
Napoleon is famously said to have declared, “When China wakes, it will shake the world.” That is becoming true even in spheres that China historically has had little connection with, like chess, basketball, rare earth minerals, cyber warfare, space exploration and nuclear research.
This is a process that Miss Hou exemplifies. Only about 1 percent of Chinese play chess, and China has never been a chess power. But since 1991, China has produced four women’s world chess champions, and Ms. Hou is the one with by far the most promise.
At this point, I have to put my sensitive male ego aside. You see, Ms. Hou gamely agreed to play me after I interviewed her. She had just flown into Beijing after winning the world championship, and she was exhausted — and she shredded me in 21 moves.
Most dispiriting, when I was teetering at the abyss near the end of the game, her coach nudged her and suggested mischievously that we should switch sides. Ms. Hou would inherit my impossible position — and the gleam in her coach’s eye suggested that she would still win.
I protested that I could survive being beaten on the chess board by a schoolgirl. But to be toyed with, like a mouse by a cat — that would be too much. Ms. Hou nodded compassionately and checkmated me a few moves later.
At 14 she became the youngest female grandmasterever. She’s still so young that it’s unclear just how remarkable she will become.
Women in general haven’t been nearly as good at chess as men, and the world’s top women are mostly ranked well below the top men — but Ms. Hou could be an exception. She is the only female chess player today considered to have a shot at becoming one of the top few players in the world, male or female.
Cynics sometimes suggest that China’s rise as a world power is largely a matter of government manipulation of currency rates and trade rules. But China has also done an extraordinarily good job of investing in its people and in spreading opportunity across the country. Moreover, perhaps as a legacy of Confucianism, its citizens have shown a passion for education and self-improvement — along with remarkable capacity for discipline and hard work, what the Chinese call “chi ku,”吃 苦 or “eating bitterness.”
Ms. Hou dined on plenty of bitterness in working her way up to champion. She grew up in the boondocks, in a county town in Jiangsu Province, and her parents did not play chess. But they lavished attention on her and spoiled her, as parents of only children (“little emperors”) routinely do in China.
China used to be one of the most sexist societies in the world — with female infanticide, foot binding, and concubinage — but it turned a corner and now is remarkably good at giving opportunities to girls as well as boys. When Ms. Hou’s parents noticed her interest in a chess board at a store, they promptly bought her a chess set — and then hired a chess tutor for her.

Ye Jiangchuan, the chief coach of the national men’s and women’s teams, told me that he played Ms. Hou when she was 9 years old — and was stunned. “I saw that this kid was special,” he told me, and he invited her to move to Beijing to play with the national teams. Three years later she was the youngest girl ever to compete in the world chess championships.
It will be many decades before China can challenge the United States as the overall “No. 1” in the world, for we have a huge lead and China still must show that it can transition to a more open and democratic society. But already in discrete areas — its automobile market, carbon emissions and now women’s chess — China is emerging as No. 1 here and there, and that process will continue.
There’s a lesson for us as well. China’s national commitment to education, opportunity and eating bitterness 吃苦 — those are qualities that we in the West might emulate as well. As you know after you’ve been checkmated by Hou Yifan.
