I AM SO BLESSED

Grace to everyone,

Yip yip hurray
Eureka Eureka

Few more days and my oral treatment which is the 12th and final course of my chemotherapy. After that no more ingestion of those harmful drugs. Farewell farewell. It has been a long 7 months of treatment requiring fortnightly visits to the hospital and the build-up of side effects; sometimes so torturous and painful that I wanted to give up. Fortunately, God has provided me the strength to overcome all these torments.

Apart from God, I am fortunate to have friends from far and near as well as siblings who would shower me with gifts of fruits or any products that they have heard to be good for the cure of C....... I am so grateful that I am always in their minds. They are constantly in touch with me to lend me moral support or to give me encouragement to persevere as well as to constantly upheld me in their prayers. Without them and God, I would be unable to continue on this arduous journey.

My friends are always thinking of ways to cheer me and they will ever willing to provide companionship to me. They will take me to savour the delights of nature such as hot springs, waterfalls or jungle trekking. As long as it will help speed up my recovery they are willing to sacrifice their time to take me. Many a time we would sit by the springs or waterfalls and reminisce and reflect on the good old days. These outings have proven to be very effective in motivating as well as to cheer me on.

I am indeed very blessed and I am very appreciative of their caring attitudes. They will forever be in my memory and I hope one day to be able to repay their kindness to me. I am indeed indebted to them.

I would also like to extend my gratitude to those who have been endlessly upholding me in their prayers. The Lord has answered many if not all of their requests. Thank you very much, my friends.

With unconditional love,

James Oh

UPDATE OF MY ADDITIONAL FB ACCOUNT

Update of my Additional FB account

Hi everyone,

Awesome!!! My additional FB account has received tremendous support. It has almost hit its threshold of 5k followers.

This overwhelming support has driven me to keep on sharing my personal and professional life experiences to inspire as well as to be inspired. I hope that you will find my experiences interesting and helpful.

Life is just like a rollercoaster, full of twists and turns. Just treat them like opportunities and challenges. What is important is to grab the opportunities and turn them to our advantages. On the other hand, accept the challenges and overcome them to make our lives more interesting.

Life is short and full of uncertainties. Therefore we should try to make the best out of it. Live happily with each other and make our moments together memorable. Do not leave any grudges and learn to forgive our perpetrators. Life would be happier and the world will be a much better and happier place. Leave our mark in society.

Just a friendly reminder. I can be seen and contacted at other fan pages namely James Oh, Lift You Up, Money Tells Stories which were created some time ago. A fan page, Better Than The Best, was created after my first book especially for my fans and followers.

Drop me an email at jamesoh2003@yahoo.co.uk if you are interested to do so.

Cheers and look forward to hearing from you,

Unconditional love,

He is The Rock
Greetings from Kuala Lumpur
Thank you, Lord for being our pillar of support. With your grace and blessings, we are able to overcome most of the adversities and tribulations we are currently facing.

Troubles always come in twos or threes. My wife who just lost her beloved brother is under a lot of stress until her blood pressure shot up very high and had to be warded. Rest in peace.

At the moment I am undergoing chemotherapy and are subjected to its side effects of nausea, numbness of the limbs and so on.

At the same, my eldest brother in Penang suffered a stroke and barely has he recovered when Penang was hit by a massive flood causing damages to both vehicles and properties. I was powerless to help. All I can do is to pray and ask for God"s mercies and blessings to be bestowed on my beloved hometown. I also hope that God will continue to bless and heal my brother. Thank Lord.

I would like to share the tragedy that hit my family two decades ago. For those who are interested can read my book Letting Go and Moving On which I am currently reviewing and upgrading as a second edition.

For me to be able to overcome all these trials and tribulations, I am grateful to God.

With unconditional love,

James Oh

THE BEAUTY OF BEING A PUBLISHED AUTHOR

THE BEAUTY OF BEING A PUBLISHED AUTHOR

THE BEAUTY OF BEING A PUBLISHED AUTHOR

I write to let you know that I became a value creation specialist in grooming people to have integrated thinking so as to achieve sustainable value creation. I just like other specialists have achieved my position not by chance. Although it takes lots and loads of hard work to get where I am right now, it actually started from the first book that I published – Better Than The Best.

The book propelled me to become an authority in mindset changing in the financial industry specializing in value creation. The same thing happened to other successful specialists. As I keep taking massive actions and redefined my thinking, 6 other books of a similar nature have been published at the time of writing, 2 of them have been upgraded to second edition.

I managed to accomplish them because I understand the immense benefits of becoming a published author. It is my best name card that displays at several digital retail book stores worldwide. The beauty of it is that I am not only getting paid for it when people buy my books. These books also help me to advertise 7 days 24 hours at those digital store that sell my books.

I share with you with intention that it will inspire you to do the same and get similar benefits as I do.

Do you want the secret? Contact me now at jamesoh2003@yahoo.co.uk.

I hope you too will take full advantage of this post and more importantly, get on the road to become a published author soon.

Sincerely,

James Oh

I AM AWESOME

Dear Friends, followers and fans,
Please repeat after me. "I am awesome." "I am awesome." "I am really awesome!" Let it sink into your mind and heart. Are you feel better now? You should be. Repeat this process until you are truly gaining it. Do yourself a great favor to show that you truly love yourself.
Yes, you are! I can affirm it. You should be gaining the momentum of feeling great. Good is not good enough. Moreover good is the enemy of great. Don't wait for anyone else to tell you this. This is because you need to claim it and it is a gift from the above.
You do not have to wait or live for others to validate you. It will never end. You ought to know it inside out! Awesomeness is not about your 'outside job', but rather is an 'inside job'. Once you are feeling great, your awesomeness will be contagious and it has snowballs effect effect. It will eventually turn everything around you beautifully.
So go ahead and radiate your awesomeness daily first thing in the morning and keep doing it daily.
Start looking at yourself in the mirror closely and say it loudly. "I AM AWESOME!!"
Repeat it as often as necessary, even if you have to sneak out to the restroom during the middle of the day to remind yourself to do it. Others may try to suck out your awesomeness. So retain it for yourself and spread it out so that you too can make the world a better place to live.

THE MAGDEBURG WATER BRIDGE

The Magdeburg Water Bridge:

918 m long, 34 m wide and 4.25 m

At first glance, the Water Bridge in Magdeburg, Germany, seems nothing special; just another canal bridge. But look again and it’s a water bridge across water, forming a water intersection that is the biggest water crossing in Europe!

The world’s largest water bridge, with a span of 106 m between its pillars, opened in October 2003, on the back of five years of construction, 24,000 tons of steel, and 68,000 m³ of reinforced concrete. Regaining the construction cost of €500 million probably won’t take long as the bridge shortens travel times for ships considerably and eases traffic on other routes.

Before the opening of the water bridge, ships moving between the Midland Canal and the Elbe-Havel Canal had to make a 12-km detour through the Rothensee lock, along the River Elbe and back up Niegripp lock. Now the bridge connects Hannover and Berlin directly and also Berlin’s inland harbour network with the ports along the Rhine. A double lock was constructed to descend to the Elbe-Havel Canal and a single Rothensee lock was constructed at the other end of the water bridge to descend to the Elbe and the Magdeburg harbour, making it independent of water
levels and therefore navigable even for large ships.

AMAZING CIRCULAR PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE

Amazing Circular Pedestrian Bridge In Lujiazui, China

Sometime last year, a new pedestrian bridge was unveiled in Lujiazui in the Pudong district of Shanghai. This large scale circular pedestrian overpass enables pedestrians to avoid traffic at the round-about terminus of Lujiazui Rd. The bridge provides access to the Oriental Pearl Tower connecting financiers to leisure areas such as shopping malls and cafes, a transit station and office buildings. The bridge sits almost 20 feet above the street, with numerous escalator stairway entrances and exits. The very contemporary design and long spans between columns provides a pleasant street level experience. Visitors enjoy the walkway for its privileged views of the city as well as its introduction of clean and easy foot transportation. At night the structure is illuminated to great dramatic effect.

The walkaway is 5.5 meter high and can fit 15 people walking side by side. Since it’s opening, it has become quite a tourist attraction.

WORLD'S LONGEST CROSS -SEA BRIDGE

Very happy day to you,

Today I have very good news for all of you. This good news is none other than the world's longest cross-sea bridge had just opened by the China Authority. We all should welcome this new creation that has been delivered to the world. This is a healthy way to add more creation to the world for all of us to enjoy and benefit from it.

The bridge, connecting urban Qingdao with the city's less-developed district of Huangdao, costs 14.8 billion yuan (USD 2.3 billion). It is created with the intent to boost the development of an industrial zone in Huangdao and to facilitate the rise of foreign trade by increasing the port''s handling capacity.

It will ease the complaints by the business community of the inconvenience of the current, less-efficient sea transport, whose operation is at the mercy of the weather. The bridge will shorten the route between Huangdao and urban Qingdao by 30 km, cutting the travel time down from over 40 minutes to around 20 minutes.

Before its completion, the Hangzhou Bay Bridge that spans across the bay of Hangzhou, in eastern Zhejiang province, was considered the world''s longest cross-sea bridge.

Qingdao officials also announced the completion of a 9.47-kilometer-long undersea tunnel that runs parallel to the bridge. The construction of the tunnel, whose lowest part is located 81 metres below sea level, cost another 7 billion yuan. This bridge has its own uniqueness and characteristics, truly serves its users to the utmost.

The construction of this project began in August 2007. It took slightly less than 4 years to complete and supported by more than 5,000 pillars. According to Zhou Fengjun, an academician at the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the engineers overcame huge difficulties in building the tunnel amid a complicated geological environment. This is another illustration to prove that we can deliver whatever our minds conceive and believe in.

He said the project can now serve as a textbook for the country's tunnel-construction projects.

This bridge has a unique feature that has passed construction appraisals on June 27, 2011 and the bridge and an undersea tunnel opened to traffic on the last day of the month. It is a new Guinness World Record. It's a marathon journey across the sea that you can take in your car. Don't forget to try it out whenever you have the opportunity to do so and share with us your experience here. Thank you in advance.

Append below please find some of the photos of its amazingly beautiful scenes.

Trust you have enjoyed it and have a nice weekend.

THE WIDER VIEW

THE WIDER VIEW: Taking shape, the new bridge at the Hoover Dam

Creeping closer inch by inch, 900 feet above the mighty Colorado River, the two sides of a $160 million bridge at the Hoover Dam slowly take shape. The bridge will carry a new section of US Route 93 past the bottleneck of the old road which can be seen twisting and winding around and across the dam itself.

When complete, it will provide a new link between the states of Nevada and Arizona. In an incredible feat of engineering, the road will be supported on the two massive concrete arches which jut out of the rock face.

The arches are made up of 53 individual sections each 24 feet long which have been cast on-site and are being lifted into place using an improvised high-wire crane strung between temporary steel pylons.

The arches will eventually measure more than 1,000 feet across. At the moment, the structure looks like a traditional suspension bridge. But once the arches are complete, the suspending cables on each side will be removed. Extra vertical columns will then be installed on the arches to carry the road.

The bridge has become known as the Hoover Dam bypass, although it is officially called the Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, after a former governor of Nevada and an American Football player from Arizona who joined the US Army and was killed in Afghanistan.

Work on the bridge started in 2005 and should finish next year. An estimated 17,000 cars and trucks will cross it every day.

The dam was started in 1931 and used enough concrete to build a road from New York to San Francisco. The stretch of water it created, Lake Mead, is 110 miles long and took six years to fill. The original road was opened at the same time as the famous dam in 1936. More photos below.

An extra note: The top of the white band of rock in Lake Mead is the old waterline prior to the drought and development in the Las Vegas area. It is over 100 feet above the current water level.

The above unique and amazing bridge reveals to me how powerful are our minds. Thank God for giving us these wonderful gifts that lead us to conquer every challenge that comes along our daily life. Similarly, the above bridge began with a thought or dream of its inventor, who eventually translates it into a reality.

No doubt every creation has its own challenges so has this one. However, no matter how tough is the task, the tough will never give up, but it pushes the inventor to find solution to overcome it. As such, it affirms the saying that we are what we think.

Whatever we believe and convinced that this creation is workable, we will attract the positive energy to build it up, bit by bit till it is completed. All we have to do is be persistently working on it regardless of what the next obstacle will be. We are sure that it will ultimately be completed so long as we never give up.

So friend, do you know that God gives everyone a mind, which is equally powerful so long as that person believes in that way. However, it is equally true if that person believes otherwise, it will destroy him. In short, it very much depends on its beholders whether to use it to empower or destroy. The choice is on your hand. This has been well proven in the Scripture and mankind's history.

Before we end, we urge you to make the former as your choice and you are also encourage to exercise it with a task; affirm and reaffirm on this line of belief daily. Our mind is just like our muscle, through daily appropriate exercise it will be strengthened. As such, you need to feed it with the healthy stuff and stay on guard not to be tainted by those negative news that happen around you. This is to avoid you being swung along with the other thoughts which are equally powerful.

Thanks so much for reading this article and if you are truly be lifted up by it like the way it did to us.  Then, please pass it to someone whom you think needs this boost. Thank you in advance for your kind action. Bear in mind that we need to stay with the same minded people so as to support us along the journey we choose so that we do not depart from it.

AMAZING AND UNIQUE BRIDGE 9

Hi! Folks,
This is another unique and amazing bridge, which I like to share with you, despite what I told you in my last post last year.
The bridge is huge and I am not kidding either. It is located in China’s Hubei province and dubbed “Siduhe Grand Bridge“, this gargantuan suspension bridge (once completed) will smash the current record for highest deck-to-ground distance held by the Royal Gorge Bridge in Colorado (1, 053ft) and could fit the Empire State Building underneath it and still have 360 feet to spare - yikes! But there’s more…
So you’ve erected the enormous towers on each side of the deep valley, deeper than any valley previously bridged. How do you get a pilot cable from one tower to the next? Previous solutions have included: attaching the cable to a kite and flying it over (e.g. Niagara Falls suspension bridge), carrying one end by helicopter (e.g. Akashi Kaikyo bridge) and floating one end on a boat (e.g. Brooklyn Bridge). The brains behind the Siduhe Bridge decided to ignore all those options and break another record instead. They attached the 3,200ft cables to rockets and accurately fired them over the valley, becoming the first people to do so.
So, it tells us to be more innovative and creative to venture into new methods so as to have breakthrough record. Remember that there are always more than one path to success. Be brave and have a mission to set a new record and not indulge into unnecessary worry as the builder who constructs the above bridge. To create a remarkable new record, you must able to face the odds and take up the challenge to step into the uncharted zones. This is exactly like today's world we are living, where people are pushed to create precedents out of the uncharted zones. So, as the time is getting tougher, the tough gets going. Keep moving and you are rest assured that the reward is also equally high proportionate to its risk.

So, I hope you too enjoy its beauty and spirit as I did. Thanks and seeing you again. Wishing you success,

James Oh

History is made as the pilot cables are successfully fired across the valley.

BRIDGE ... AMAZING AND UNIQUE 8

Dear loving readers,

This will be my last post on bridge this year. However, you are always welcome to view it at any time convenient to you. Thanks for your support.

In this article, I am going to present you another amazing bridge, which is none other than:-

Hegigio Gorge Pipeline Bridge , Southern Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea

This bridge supports two pipelines - one gas and the other oil - across the extremely deep gap in Papua New Guinea . If this were to be officially recognized as a vehicular or pedestrian bridge, then it would rocket to the top of the 'world's highest bridge-span' with the pipelines at an impressive height of 1,290 ft above the bottom of the gorge..... By comparison, the current highest bridge span belongs to the Royal Gorge Bridge in Colorado, hanging a mere 1,053 ft above ground level.

This bridge has created another spectacular records for the highest bridge in the world. No doubt, its purpose is very different from others. But, it is not wrong to be categorized it as  a bridge. It reminds us that nothing is impossible, so long you have the will and determination. So, why limit your boundary?

You should set your own record and stress yourself to the maximum so as to leave a good legacy - like the above bridge. In life, it is always good to begin with a big dream. Do all your best to move towards your pre-set goals. Prepare to pay a heavy price while you are in the process of achieving it, so that you wouldn't be caught by surprise.

Life is short, so dream Big. Whether you achieve it or not is a totally different issue. At least, you have tried it. You shall be rest assured that you will have the satisfaction. On the other hand, you may be condemned by the whole world. Have you not heard of Noah the Arch?

To view other amazing bridges of my previous posts, please click at the header of the post.

Give the above thought a serious consideration. Please do share with us should you have other interpretation. Thanks for your precious time and trust the above lesson is worth more than your time.

BRIDGE ... AMAZING AND UNIQUE 7

Dear loving readers,

Your support and encouragement drive me to present you another amazing bridge from France, which is :-

Pont Gustave Flaubert, Rouen, France

This incredible vertical lift bridge is in Rouen , France, whose spans weigh 1,200 tons each but can be hoisted 180 ft vertically in an impressive 12 minutes. The angular lift structures at the top of each tower weigh 450 tons each. The huge vertical lift allows even the largest cruise liners to sail through.

It sounds ridiculous and works well till today. It suggests that there is a will, there is a way. With the encouragement and determination, nothing can stop it from being done. So, next time when you face any barrier, never quit or bargain about it. But just do it at all costs and without any complaint. At the end of the day, you will be just like the above bridge - shining on its own glory.

Trust it will inspire you further and bridge you to the greatest height of success. You are the captain of your mind and soul.

Click at the title of the post should you desire to view the other amazing bridge of my previous post.

Thanks for your time and trust the benefits you receive is overwhelming your leisure time.

Have a lovely wonderful day,

BRIDGE ... AMAZING AND UNIQUE 6

Dear loving readers,

It is my utmost pleasure to present you another amazing bridge from Singapore, so promised.

Henderson Waves, Southern Ridges, Singapore

'Henderson Waves' is Singapore's highest pedestrian bridge and is at the 'Southern Ridges,' a beautiful 9 km (six miles) stretch of gardens and parks. The deck of the bridge is made from thousands of Balau wood slabs, perfectly cut and arranged, and along the length of the deck a snake like, undulating shell forms sheltered seating areas on every upward curve.

It is truly another masterpiece from its builders. The glory of this bridge remind us that to produce a master piece, a builder need to pay attention to each and every detail of its work. This requires far more than hard work, it is also need passion, diligence and endurance from its builder, so as to speak. Then only will its result be able to stand out.

Always remember that to deliver a masterpiece, one needs far more than hard work. You need to develop the passion toward the job you are undertaking and have the required patience and endurance to go through the paintaking process. There is no short cut in delivering such a remarkable result and this has been well proven in life.

To achieve such a greater success in today competitive world's market, the person needs to be different, not only be creative, but also have the courage to take bold step to do it in an extraordinarily way. Normally in the process lots of criticism and condemnation from others, will be received prior to its success. So, be prepared if you are making such a move.

Thanks for your precious time and trust that the above bridge leads you to a path of greater success.
