In view of the critical and urgent effects of Climate change, we at,
Lift You Up, is going to run a mini series of using natural means to take up this challenging task. While I am constantly seeking better means and ways of combating climate change from my house, I will share with you, in the hope that you too will follow suit. As we have repeatedly stressed that we need to tackle this issue collectively worldwide.
Today's article, we have identified three major types of indoor plants,
which can serve as Biological means of Indoor Ioniser, Air Ventilator and Air Purifier. They are as follow:-
1. Sansevieria ( See photo below)
 You are encouraged to combine a few Sansevieria in one pot for lush appearance. To create a sense of trendiness and harmony, place them in a pot that matches with your home furniture.
No special care is required as it grows easily, but avoid
over-watering.
Do not underestimate its function. It can purify and filter harmful
gases in your surrounding areas as it is rich in an ion which is beneficial to human body. Hence, it is better than electrical ioniser in the sense that it reduces your electrical consumption apart from greening the environment. Additionally, it takes in carbon dioxide and releases oxygen at night. So, what are you waiting for, get them now.
2. Lady palm
 This plant is suitable to be placed indoors and in the washroom and it can serve as air purifier. It can survive with little sunlight and you need to ensure enough moisture with frequent watering. So, its benefit is very much better than the electrical type which will consume electricity. Don't get us wrong here, we prefer the natural means and not against other means. We respect your choice in every aspect.
3. White Anthurium (Peace Lily)
 It helps regulate room temperature and moisture. Hence, it may reduce your air-condition consumption to certain extent. Besides that, it also purifies the air and helps eliminate odours and is suitable to place in the kitchen. It, too, can grow with very little sunlight. However, sunlight helps the flowers to blossom. Frequent watering is a must.
To enhance its decorative value, we recommended you
plant them in the Rustics, so called the finest hand-painted pots with a unique range of delicate natural designs.

ENTREPRENEUR AND ITS CHARACTERISTICS
Hi! Friend,
It is my pleasure to see you again. Thank for your support and you will be well rewarded.
It is a known fact that national progress is in the hands of Entrepreneurs as they are the pillars to the nation's progress. They are not only the goods and services providers to the people, but these are also the people who are shape, drive the economy so as to achieve sustainable economic growth by creating more employment opportunities for the people. As it is not feasible for the government to fund and manage every industry, therefore the government needs to work hand in hand with these entrepreneurs to develop both small and large scale industries to accelerate the economic growth. I also need to make this clear to you that Entrepreneurship is not everyone's cup of tea. You need to develop certain qualities to be a successful entrepreneur. You may be aware that I, lately, have officially announced to the world at large that I am a Technopreneur. I would like to share with you as to what are the qualities required to make a SUCCESSFUL entrepreneur, with the intention that you do join us and work together to lead instead of just taking a back seat.
Creativity:
Creativity means the ability of bringing something new into existence in the public perspective. It can be anything and everything. The beauty of this is that there is no limit or boundary to it. Freedom need to be given so as to give the thinker a chance to create new items, which can be anything and everything. As such to be a successful entrepreneur, he needs to be creative. This point has been well proven in the mankind's history, which needs no further elaboration.
Innovation:
Innovation is another important pillar supporting entrepreneurship regardless of the field the individual is involved in. An innovative entrepreneur creates a resource. Because of his overwhelming passion, he can overcome any obstacle that comes along. His innovative ways will enable him to circumvent all obstacles which ordinary person would not be able to do. That is why entrepreneurs always hold themselves responsible for their own future. As a result, they are able to sustain and maintain themselves throughout the journey without feeling the unbearable pain, very different from the ordinary person. They enjoy their enterprise no matter how tough it is and they do not need to be pushed by others. It comes naturally and they respond to it in a very positive manner, without regrets. It is, at times very difficult to describe in words unless you really go through such an experience. Sweet and rewarding for those who have made it.
Dynamism
An entrepreneur needs to be dynamic, so to speak, because of its nature of work the entrepreneur is involved in. A dynamic entrepreneur is a problems solver and always seek for challenges that make their lives more exciting and rewarding as well. He always seek solutions to the problems/difficulties so as to make thing better in term of its features, function and etc..In short, to make the world a better place to live in. They love challenges as they know that challenges will make them progress. Therefore, you can see that they need to have interest and passion in that enterprise and not necessary focus solely on generating more money for themselves alone. A dynamic entrepreneur always seeks better ways of doing things in a more effective and efficient manner. They rely on the tested and proven formula that makes everyone involved be in a win-win situation. They consistently evolved through time, just like the way you start peddling your bicycle.
Quality Leadership:
Leadership is form one of the most important ingredients because he needs to gain respect from others so as to lead the way in an effective manner. Time will tell his true quality of leadership. In fact, you can see his leadership when you walk into his office. His leadership will be reflected in his daily life and action, in how he manages the affairs, no matter how he conceals it. Good entrepreneur is also a good student, who has a desire to upgrade himself in any area so long as it can make him progress further and further, so as to stay ahead in the field he is in. He enjoys healthy competition because this is the way which can drive him to progress further. He is a no nonsense person who always constantly give his best shot and never give excuses. His quality of leadership will be clearly reflected throughout every aspect of task handling, problem solving and confronting issues in daily life. He is truly efficient and effective. An enterprise with excellent leadership is always prominent and highly demanded in the market worldwide.
Team Builder in nature:
An entrepreneur recognised and acknowledged the fact that he cannot act alone, he needs to build team to sustain the growth of his enterprise. As such, an entrepreneur form group of individuals with common purpose to drive them to stay focus on their BIG goals and not the problem. They build network and continue to support each member with dedication, commitment, energy and innovation.
Firm and Decisive:
These qualities make them distinct from the rest. Usually they are far sighted, have clear defined mission and vision. They are able to stand against all odds. An entrepreneur makes firm decisions because they know what they are doing, they foresee the challenges in advance, therefore they are able to take the right wave of the uncertainty that ordinary people would otherwise missed. That is the great difference and always make them look forward, which normal people may view as high risk. They are versatile people and they know how to manoeuvre so as to climb higher. Even if there is a fall, in ordinary person's view, they viewed it as a temporary set back and they are able to capture this adversity to make themselves better than their initial position. An entrepreneur start with a completely new activity and he may either succeed or fail. Here, an entrepreneur usually takes a calculated risk.
Commitment:
Similar to any other type of adventure, an entrepreneur is usually a person with high commitment, has strong dedication and will power. They want to play the winning game that requires patience, they endure whatsoever obstacles that come along their journey. And they know that the resistance is there to shape them to build their inner muscles to overcome much bigger obstacles as they move to higher levels of success. Their desire will not lack fuel because they draw these energies from various invisible sources.
Communication Ability:
Good entrepreneur is also an excellent communicator who can convey his message precisely and accurately so that his team members know what he really means and work hand in hand to support him to move to the next level of success. They have "authority" that comes with strong persuasive power to align his teams to flow with him in the same direction. They need to do it in a very transparent manner that requires high integrity to earn the trust and confidence from their team members. Their team members will not only listen to them but will respond accordingly with full confidence.

TRANSMILE GROUP BERHAD : MY REAL EXPERIENCE AS TURNAROUND MANAGER
Hi! Friends,
Further to several articles posted on our blog, we believe you have a good understanding of how to turn around a company. As promised you much earlier that we ALWAYS uphold our policy to share with you our knowledge, skill, expertise and experience. We do so because we wanted to pass back to the world which we have been benefiting from. We do what we preach. Transparency and consistency are two key indicators to verify such an act.
IN this connection, I will like to let you know that I learn about Lee Iccacoa who turned around the General Motors during the seventies. I was amazed with this guy and hope one day I may have the chance to apply what I have learned from this great author.
During my tenure with Time Advance Products, I was given an opportunity to work with a General Manager to turn around this sick company. After a couple of months of hard work, we were about to turn around the Said company. We have prescribed some of the formulae, suggested in my preceding articles, which stopped the company from bleeding further. Various measures such as shortening its cash cycle and fixing the cannibalized machine into a functionable machine to be sold for cash. However, that General Manager left due to a better offer from another company. As a result I was left alone there. I eventually left the company after I realized that a wrong guy was put in charge. It proved me right that the company was sold off to third party after I left.
That time I didn't really complete my mission as a Turnaround Manager.
However, I was put into a real test again when I was the Financial Controller of Transmile Group Berhad during the Asian Financial Crisis in 2007. Because of my past exposure, I responded with calm and steadiness. At times, I even laugh it out, as a way to release myself, especially when I was hit by numerous occasions such as Section 218 notice, Seizure notice, etc.
My boss who trusted me, throughout my past performance, so much that he gave me so much authority to implement several drastic and effective plans to keep the company afloat and continue to service our bankers, suppliers well after some restructuring exercises.
Thank God for putting me there to go through the entire cycle, which was a real sweet and rewarding job, although it was not easy. I finally achieved my dream to become a turnaround manager in 2009, at the age of 38. Good things did not end here. The Senior Management, at that time, decided to transfer me out from the finance for whatever reason known best to them. The rest is not relevant.
I took it as an opportunity to pursue my law degree so that I can peruse my other dreams. The rest is history. Again, it proves in my favour now as I have seen the light.
By now, you should understand why I make myself present at its recent AGM and even offered them my expertise. Unfortunately, it was turned down.
Again, I take this rejection as another opportunity for me to offer my coaching courses to others since the market has a real shortage of turnaround Managers worldwide, as we have mentioned in our preceding articles. (Click the title to make access to this article)

The roof-top garden coincides with another green initiative – an actual rainforest enclave cultivated within 1 Utama called the Rainforest.
Both projects were led by distinguished botanist and researcher Dr Francis Ng, who recently was awarded the prestigious David Fairchild Medal 2009 (Plant Exploration) presented by the National Tropical Botanical Garden of the United States. We are truly proud of both of them who have made the Nation proud of their remarkable contributions.

Another area we, Lift You Up, can think of is to plant more green at the various play fields so as to beautify the areas further. THE INTERVIEW BETWEEN US AND THE BLOGGER WHO ADVOCATES ORGANS DONATION
Dear Readers,
The author, Chew Hoong Ling of www.hoongling.com is one of our WELL RESPECTED AND HONORABLE blog buddies for some time. Lately, we understand that she is going to launch her book in the near future.
As such, we went to interview her. We felt such a great honour to have a meaningful dialogue with this great author and we are so excited to share with you as Our Readers.
Lift You Up Q1. What drive you to risk yourself to make such a bold move to save another life especially someone who is not even your relative?
Hoong Ling A1: Well, organ donation is in my blood. I first read a booklet on organ donation and was inspired by a news story of a 12 year old girl pledging her eyes, I signed the pledge immediately. Once I discovered that not many people know about this noble cause, I decided to champion and spread its awareness. I remember telling myself at that time (I was 13 at that time), that I will donate an organ to someone even when I am alive. And this, I did - 16 years after that! I said organ donation is in my blood - so if I cut myself I think I see green - green ribbon is the symbol of organ donation. :)
Lift You Up Q 2. Tell us how you overcome fears, criticisms and attacks especially from your loved ones?
Hoong Ling A 2. This is very much related to life. In fact in this process I learn one very important lesson in life. Much energies were wasted was not because of criticisms and attacks but very surprisingly my own thoughts. It was a battle within myself - whether to donate my liver or not. That dragged on for almost a month before I finally met a friend who advised me. To cut the story short, he said that I should make a decision and then just stick to it. Which is true, once I decided that I will donate my liver, all criticisms, attacks or fears just disappeared. When loved ones opposed the idea, all I did was to nod because they advised me based on their concerns and some due to ignorance of technologies in the medical field. No point arguing when you know they will stick to their point and I will hold my own opinion.
Lift You Up Q3. What make you to think of publishing a book to share with others and at the same time encourage others to do such a noble action? So far what is your worst criticism / attacks, and how you overcome it?
Hoong Ling A3. I have always wanted to write a book but lack a compelling story to tell. Even if I were to write a book on organ donation after championing the cause for 16 years, it was still not strong enough. People will ask who am I to publish a book on organ donation. This time, after going through this life saving act, I think it released the courage in me to pen down a book on organ donation. I address doubts of people who never shared my dream of selling million copies of this book, or laughter and cynicism of people thinking I am crazy or calling me a dreamer, by strengthening my dream and make it come true.
Lift You Up Q 4. Tell us your schedule/program for launching such a great book, which I believe will receive an overwhelming response. When is your official date to launch this noble book?
Hoong Ling A 4.The soft launch of the book will be on 25th June 2010 at the Napoleon Hill International Convention held at Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. Welcome to Borneo! We are planning for a launch of the Chinese version and with it, we will launch a mascot for organ donation - a brainchild of mine - and its website/portal on organ donation. This will be somewhere in July 2010 in Kuala Lumpur.
Lift You Up Q5. Let us know what is the title of your book. How you come up with such title? Would the scar remind you of the pain you have suffered?
Hoong Ling A5. Shall I keep this a secret? Haha... Alright the title is "I Don't Know You but Let Me Save You". This title was the header for the feature news that came out in Sin Chew Daily, a local Chinese daily and after a discussion and brainstorming, we think this is really a good title and it tells straight away about a story of someone saving a stranger. I must thank Sin Chew editors for such great titles. The scar is a reminder of my happiness and how life has been prolonged by a simple act of organ donation (even if it is just a pledge). I never suffered though of course, I have pains. So the question ended with "pain you have suffered" - no, no suffering! :)
Lift You Up Q6. Tell us your guided principle that governs your life? How you cultivate these values?
Hoong Ling A6. I always believe in working for free and going the extra mile. In fact, I thought that if I work enough for free and not being compensated, one day the compensation will be big - with compounded interests! The author, Chew Hoong Ling of www.hoongling.com is one of our WELL RESPECTED AND HONORABLE blog buddies for some time. Lately, we understand that she is going to launch her book in the near future.
As such, we went to interview her. We felt such a great honour to have a meaningful dialogue with this great author and we are so excited to share with you as Our Readers.
Lift You Up Q1. What drive you to risk yourself to make such a bold move to save another life especially someone who is not even your relative?
Hoong Ling A1: Well, organ donation is in my blood. I first read a booklet on organ donation and was inspired by a news story of a 12 year old girl pledging her eyes, I signed the pledge immediately. Once I discovered that not many people know about this noble cause, I decided to champion and spread its awareness. I remember telling myself at that time (I was 13 at that time), that I will donate an organ to someone even when I am alive. And this, I did - 16 years after that! I said organ donation is in my blood - so if I cut myself I think I see green - green ribbon is the symbol of organ donation. :)
Lift You Up Q 2. Tell us how you overcome fears, criticisms and attacks especially from your loved ones?
Hoong Ling A 2. This is very much related to life. In fact in this process I learn one very important lesson in life. Much energies were wasted was not because of criticisms and attacks but very surprisingly my own thoughts. It was a battle within myself - whether to donate my liver or not. That dragged on for almost a month before I finally met a friend who advised me. To cut the story short, he said that I should make a decision and then just stick to it. Which is true, once I decided that I will donate my liver, all criticisms, attacks or fears just disappeared. When loved ones opposed the idea, all I did was to nod because they advised me based on their concerns and some due to ignorance of technologies in the medical field. No point arguing when you know they will stick to their point and I will hold my own opinion.
Lift You Up Q3. What make you to think of publishing a book to share with others and at the same time encourage others to do such a noble action? So far what is your worst criticism / attacks, and how you overcome it?
Hoong Ling A3. I have always wanted to write a book but lack a compelling story to tell. Even if I were to write a book on organ donation after championing the cause for 16 years, it was still not strong enough. People will ask who am I to publish a book on organ donation. This time, after going through this life saving act, I think it released the courage in me to pen down a book on organ donation. I address doubts of people who never shared my dream of selling million copies of this book, or laughter and cynicism of people thinking I am crazy or calling me a dreamer, by strengthening my dream and make it come true.
Lift You Up Q 4. Tell us your schedule/program for launching such a great book, which I believe will receive an overwhelming response. When is your official date to launch this noble book?
Hoong Ling A 4.The soft launch of the book will be on 25th June 2010 at the Napoleon Hill International Convention held at Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. Welcome to Borneo! We are planning for a launch of the Chinese version and with it, we will launch a mascot for organ donation - a brainchild of mine - and its website/portal on organ donation. This will be somewhere in July 2010 in Kuala Lumpur.
Lift You Up Q5. Let us know what is the title of your book. How you come up with such title? Would the scar remind you of the pain you have suffered?
Hoong Ling A5. Shall I keep this a secret? Haha... Alright the title is "I Don't Know You but Let Me Save You". This title was the header for the feature news that came out in Sin Chew Daily, a local Chinese daily and after a discussion and brainstorming, we think this is really a good title and it tells straight away about a story of someone saving a stranger. I must thank Sin Chew editors for such great titles. The scar is a reminder of my happiness and how life has been prolonged by a simple act of organ donation (even if it is just a pledge). I never suffered though of course, I have pains. So the question ended with "pain you have suffered" - no, no suffering! :)
Lift You Up Q6. Tell us your guided principle that governs your life? How you cultivate these values?
Hoong Ling A6. I always believe in working for free and going the extra mile. In fact, I thought that if I work enough for free and not being compensated, one day the compensation will be big - with compounded interests! This is also taught by Napoleon Hill, the author of Think and Grow Rich. BANDAR UTAMA - YOUR DREAM PLACE
Dear Residents,
Further to our preceding article on my place of residence, we took an initiative to circulate to our honorable committee members for BU 7/10 and developer for comments. However, they are either too busy with their daily schedule or chose to express their concerns in their hearts, our typical Asian way of doing things. The so called "polite" response according to our oriental values is totally different from the Western values.

Having said the above, our Security and Safety scheme embarked by some of our good foresight leaders have proven to be fruitful and this has been spread out to all phases at Bandar Utama. BIG Thanks to those who have been involved voluntarily despite having lots of obstacles. As such, we are certain that all residents will agree with us that we should not stop from here, but to expand this noble scheme to a next level of success.
In this connection, we welcome suggestions and thoughts, via comments so that the respective committee members could consider and evaluate with due consideration.
By doing so, we believe that lots more residents will come forward to make it a BIGGER SUCCESS despite the fact that there is a high percentage of residents joining this safety and Security scheme to protect their loved ones.
Here, we are more than happy to offer a blog of ours to use as the communication channel for the residents so that as we can pool all our resources to improve this area further despite the fact that the crime rate has been reduced tremendously. Well done and we need to sustain and improve it further.
By improving the security and environment of this area which we are living in, we strongly feel that the value of our properties will enhance further and more speedily, be it for our own occupation or as investment purposes.
At the same time, we will also channel our invaluable feedback to the developer, SEE HOY CHAN which we believe will shape this township further and bring this township to the next level of success for our mutual benefits.
Needless to say, this article will also be forwarded to the developer once it is published and we strongly believe that they will give full support, because we don't see any reason for them not to participate in the scheme with the residents here.
This is our way of passing back our skills, knowledge and experience to the society we belong as we preach from day one. However, we also believe that success cannot be achieved alone, but through team work with full dedication, commitment, energy and innovation.
Last but not least we urge all parties to come forward and work together to make our dreams come true. Tell us who will care if not ourselves.

Some of you may be aware that we have car pool with other parents in BU to ferry our two elder children who are studying in Chung Hwa Independent (Chinese) High School in Kuala Lumpur, about 20 km away from my house.
