Speaker - Mr. James Oh 

James Oh had served as Financial Controller of publicly listed companies both locally and in Singapore. He has broad exposure and experience in Finance, Treasury, Accounting, Secretarial and Corporate Finance. He had worked with numerous companies including IJM Bhd., Hong Leong Group Bhd., Transmile Group Bhd. and Scorpio East Holdings Ltd. James has more than 20 years working experience and he constantly seeks improvement and advancement to make himself unique and relevant. He currently works as Consultant, Technoprenuer, Socialprenuer, Environmentalist and Trainer.
 
James obtained a Bachelor of Laws (Hons.) degree from the University of London in 2003 and a Bachelor of Accounting (Hons.) degree from the National University of Malaysia in 1987. He became a registered professional Accountant in 1991 and he was accepted as a Full Member of Singapore Institute of Directors in 2008.

TIME TO REFLECT

Very happy day to you,


Technology makes life much better, if we use it appropriately. It makes sending Ecard just at a click of your finger. How you usually response if you receive Ecard from someone from far distance? Tell us your immediate reaction. As you know, I always love to hear from you.

My immediate response is to see who send me the greeting/card. Then, I will read its message. I will find its meaning and remember and apply it in my life so that I can understand what it is truly means. Here, you may see how Confucius have a great impact in my life. One of his famous sayings, I see I forget, I read I remember, I do I understand. Thereafter I always put it into practice. To me, it will then add value so that I can truly benefit from it.


Some of you may wonder why I keep on trying all the above. This is because lately I received the above meaningful and lovely Ecard, from one of my social network buddy friends who is from a distant land. I must say that I love this card very much and replied him with a Big thanks. It serves as a healthy reminder to me and it is also part of my habit to constantly take time to reflect. To me, reviewing is an healthy exercise for me to plan forward. If not, how can I learn although some of you may have different ways of learning. Hope you can open up and share with us here by putting forward your feedback on the comments provided below.

Besides thanking him, I also promised him a short reply. After giving it a deep thought, it gives me an idea to write a post. Below I will try to share with you why I do so, that's how I make constructive assessment, how I plan to take it further and what changes I need to make, what strategy I need to use and how to make use of the available resources to optimise my yield. Caution must be taken so that you don't let the past hold you back and let yourself sink in the bitterness. Here, I also love to learn how you make good use of it. Thank you.

As you know, I used to share some of my experienece which may help someone, who like me live in the darkest moments, but was saved from the books I read and the people I associated with. And now, I think it is appropriate for me to the same, as a way to return back those benefits I have been receiving all this while.


One important point I need to stress here is that I find this technique extremely useful and wanted you to see its relevance in our lives. I must admit that I benefited a lot from it and it has helped me achieve what I am today.


-why I say so


Some of you may wonder why I say so. Those who know my background will know that I was living in a life full of scarcity. This environment has helped to mould me to seek better ways and means to improve it further. As such, I view this process of time to reflect extremely important to me and I have been benefiting from it so much. That's the reason I am still occasionally occupied with it until today. As my life goes on, I discovered that I have so many interests and dreams to accomplish. I never wanted to let go of any of them and decided to take it one at a time. One thing I noted that I am very blessed with and always have the energy to sustain and maintain my strong desire to excel in the field I am involved. This is the way that has helped me to be more observant and lead me to discover additional technique from time to time that is required to build the edge I need to make more meaningful things happened in my life. Thank God for making me enjoy the walk of my journey to take up the new challenges.


- that's how I make constructive assessment (Benchmarking)

And I also realized that success is a journey and I need to do an assessment of my achievement constantly. This is to ensure that the monitoring of my progress and ensure that it is on the right track and progress toward my desired end. As far as I am concern, I am more inclined to be achievement base. I tend to compare what I can do now compared to myself previously in all aspects, be it financial, skill, expertise and spiritual resources. I hate to compare myself to others, which I feel is an insult to myself if I were to do so. This healthy comparison save me time and prevents me from indulging into other unhealthy activities.


- how I plan to take it further


From the feedback of my above assessment, I will then plan out my next course of action. This process will continue until I achieved my desired result before I take up my other dream and interest. Please share with me how you cope up with your challenges and I love to learn from you too. From time to time, I will continue to make such an assessment, when I deem fit. At times, I even make some changes, if appropriate when it fits well to that situation. Here, I can say that I have a plan, which allows some flexibility.


- what strategy I need to use


At times, I am not only make some changes, but I also change my existing strategy, when I deem it appropriate. One crucial point I need to caution you is that no strategy will be obsolete, but the question is whether it applies at the right timing or not. If you don't agree, please do voice out your rationales. A good strategy is when it bears fruit and it is so much better when you apply it at the right time and circumstances. To gauge the right timing, you need the appropriate resources to do so and not based on luck. In this connection, I hope you do know what I mean here. Please forward your question if you have any query.


- how to make full use of the available resources to optimise my yield.


And last, but not least I will then think of accelerating its process to obtain its maximum benefit. From my past experience, I noticed that in order for me to do so, I need to leverage on others. In short, you can see the contrasting differences between a pipe builder and a bucket carrier. In this context, I would like to say I normally use the strength of others to compliment my weakness so as to achieve more for all of us that involved in that process ( mutual benefits). In this aspect, there are four main areas that we can focus into, namely resources in term of time and energy, ideas, contacts, and expertise. No one will have all and never forget that each of us is unique in its own way. You have your talents, skills, expertise where no other people will be exactly the same as you. Every one of us can excel in our own fields according to our original design that we need to know of. Believe me or not - if we pool all our resources, the success rate is definitely very high and can be assured if we don't give up. The more we will get and this is the original design the Creator has invented for us in the first place. There is a saying nothing is impossible if we work together.


I share with you, with the intention to deliver my message, TO INSPIRE AND GET INSPIRED, so as to fan up our desire or inner energy for me to accomplish more, so as to lift all of us up. As our commitment to you is to reward you and to make a better life you need to put all these into practice. Never give up and try to condition yourself by continuously staying tuned, even if you have made it. I do encourage you to do so, so as to fan up your inner flame to be a difference maker and continuously have an extra edge to make a better world for everyone to stay.

Here, I wanted to let you know that I never regret for putting up several blogs to share what I have learnt from those who sacrificed to save us. As you know, to keep it for myself is definitely not my style and I dare to share it openly, mainly attributed to so many great persons who have some how made significant impacts on my life, which I thank them greatly for. Otherwise, I can't imagine how my life will be ended with.


Again, I must admit that through sharing of all my experiences, it does flame up my inner desire to inspire others so as to inspire myself at the same time. As I recalled, I have been sharing online and offline constantly to highlight those who have scarified to keep us safe not only to reflect my appreciation to them, but also serve as a model for me to do so, in a way that their efforts are not in vain. To show our care, we should also give our support to them in whatsoever way we could by spreading the good works of them. By doing so, we could give some of us inspiration, hope and courage to make ourselves better, stronger, healthier, bigger, softer and stay alive so as to prepare ourselves for a greater challenge in life.

It is of great pleasure for me to share this book, ROAD TO BEAUTIFUL : A JOURNEY OF HOPE DETAILING HIS JOURNEY OF BATTLING THE DISEASE, if somehow you have missed the news.


This book chronicles a man, none other than Gerard Khaw's battle with cancer. He, a Penangite, survived the ordeal and journalised his journey into this book. He still survives till today despite he was told by doctors five years ago that he only had 10% chance of surviving nose cancer. Subsequently, doctors removed 60% of his liver that had tumours, after the cancer cells spread to his liver there years later.


It was amazingly awesome for him to pursue an off-campus Masters in Business Administration programme from the University of South Australia in 2009 and completed it in March this year while going through cancer treatment. Here, I am very certain that you too like to find out his secret of success.


The author, in his 40s, confessed that he managed to act against all the odds through the grace of God. He too admitted that he received full support from his wife Gloria, his two children Isabelle, 10, Jeanelle, 9, and friends during the launch of his book at Canton Square on last Sunday.


In this connection, I also like to reattest my testimony to glorify God that His grace is sufficient for us to overcome any and every barrier we encountered in our lives so long as we have faith and not to lose hope, as reaffirmed by the above author. This undeniable truth is not anything new and it has been affirmed by the past, current and future witnesses and is well reaffirmed in the Scriptures.


Another good news is that the above book priced at RM 30 will soon be made available in major bookstores nationwide. As such, it is a very well rewarding book to read, very much more than its cost.

LI NA - LANDMARK OF HOPE GIVER


Hi! Everyone,


Another landmark record was created by Miss Li Na. She is the first, both Asian and Chinese woman tennis champion, who won a grand slam single title at the French Open last Sunday, June 5, 2011. Her spirit really fuels hope to many Asian, especially those sportsmen and sportswomen who decided to pursue this sport as their careers. Her recent victory flooded the Chinese media last Sunday.




This great news in a way has proven the criticism that Asian body feature is not designed for tennis is totally unacceptable and unfounded. At the same time, it also proves a point that what is intangible is more important than tangible. Her confidence and powerful mindset put her in the best to beat her tough companion, the defending champion Francesca Schiavone of Italy 6-4, 7-6 (7/0) in the French Open final to win her first Grand slam Title. With this, she not only opens new door for Asians to this sport and also fuels hope to lots of inspiring Asian players, who intend to venture into new ventures to seek their fortunes.


Having said the above, she also illustrates a point well that God does not play favour but gives an equal opportunity to everyone so long she believe in it. Although, it was an uphill task for her to defeat her component, it did not mean that it was impossible for her to do so. I would say that it was because of her "I'm possible" spirit made her to win this game. Thus, her victory at the French Open will raise her value as a spokeswoman for brands which are trying to reach China’s new consumers.


Li, currently ranked Top 4 in the WTA women’s standings, up from No. 7 before her three-set victory last Saturday in Paris. BIG congratulation to this cheerful sports woman. It was reported in February this year, she joined tennis stars Roger Federer and Ana Ivanovic on the endorsement roster for luxury watch brand Rolex in a deal of undisclosed value and also signed a multi-year deal with Haagen Daaz ice cream reported to be valued at up to $1 million a year. This has put the rewards to the sportswomen on par, if not better than celebrities.

Rolex put up a congratulatory advertisement for her victory almost instantly after her victory last Saturday on the front page of its web site featuring Li's picture in action next to the specs for its diamond- and sapphire-encrusted steel and white gold Datejust watch.

Most Chinese news web sites, newspapers and television and radio stations featured in bold type and at the top of their broadcasts the history-making victory by the self-deprecating 29-year-old former badminton player who once gave up tennis for two years to study journalism in the following early morning of her victory. She truly made her country and people feel proud of her achievement.


The official Xinhua News Agency declared “Li Na wins first-ever grand slam tennis singles title for China and Asia,” on its web site above a story about an attempted assassination of the president of China’s close ally Pakistan.


As usual, Li now is not exempted from taking a ride on her victory to more commercial endorsements which are trying to reach China’s increasingly confident and brand conscious consumers. This group estimated of about 200 million whose richest members comprise the world’s fastest growing market for luxury brands.


Li, who has begun playing tennis at age 9 and ranked No. 35 on the Forbes list of Chinese celebrities after her defeat in Australia. She has not wasted her effort and improved herself tremendously. With this victory, she has definitely put herself in a ranking which now also surely will be much better of. Well done, Li Na and keep the flame on.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR - ALEJA BENNETT


Aleja Bennett was adopted in the early seventies after being abandoned and left in an apartment alone with her older siblings. The Author was only six months old and suffered with pnuemonia shortly after that.

Aleja Bennett was adopted at the age of two years by a woman who was barren. The couple abused, starved, tortured, rejected and neglected Aleja until they threw her to the cold streets at the age of nineteen.




Aleja would not have an abortion as her adopted parent's suggested so she was tossed out to the lonely cold dark streets with no money, clothes, coat or food.












She gave birth to Jessica June 30th 1992 and married in 1994 to a drug addict who stole and robbed her soul just as her adopted parents did. She looked for love in all the wrong places while alcohol absorbed all of the pain she kept a secret.


Aleja did seek help from the grandmother Of Jessica and she then manipulated and kept Jessica away from her mother after all Aleja had was her children.


The other two children are with a drug addict Aunt which is the ex husbands sister. Aleja has one in her life and Jessica has two books while her mother Aleja Bennett has eight in total.


They both write to share their pain, strength, struggle and hope to the nation.

James: Perhaps you may share with us your feeling when you first meet up your daughter at your first reunion.


Aleja : I was very excited, happy and over joyed and had already cried on the long bus ride to her college in Wisconsin.

James: When did you begin to write?

Aleja : At the age of 25 while walking into my first A.A. meeting they gave me a key chain and it printed the words being alive which was my very first poem written


James : What make you to think of publishing a book to share with others ? So far what is your worst criticism/ attacks and how you overcome it.

Aleja: Over coming and surviving being an unwanted adopted child. Having the courage to remain standing through all the turmoil living with this strange family. No criticism attacks yet so I guess that is a plus for me.


James: Where do you get the courage to do so?


Aleja: Only God because the flesh is so weak and wanted to give up so many times but he kept whispering Aleja I love you and you will rise above this abuse and help others with your writing and singing.










James: Can you enlighten us a little more about your books?


Aleja: I have eight books in total and they are a variety of poetry, love, strength, self help, spirituality, romance, passion, struggle, triumph, courage, bravery, empowerment, recovery and all that life may throw our way. I have written books that go in to my abuse and how I have survived it. It took a strong will to live, forgive, love and be loved.






James: Is there anything else you would like your readers to pay special attention in regards to your book, which you have not mentioned above?


Aleja: My books are suitable for all ages except some of the love poems that would be more appropriate for older adults, couples and married partners. I write to heal a hurting nation from all the chaos that goes on from childhood. A child is suppose to be taken care of but often they are abused and take off living a life that can be harmful to them. My books can put a stop to the hopeless, powerless, addict, alcoholic and the depressed.


James: When do you plan to publish your book 2.


Aleja: All 8 books are published

James: Tell us your guided principle that governs your life? How you cultivate these values?


Aleja: God governs my life because without him there would be no Aleja, love, forgiveness and healing also governs my life. I cultivate them in my books, groups, singing and also to my daughter


James: Any other advice which you like to share with our readers ?

PEACE ASSURED FROM CHINA

Hi! Reader,

 

I am so excited to share this good news with you. This news is that China is not a threat is great news, especially to those who chose to believe that China will become a military threat subsequent to its robust economic growth for the past decades. I believe that It is highly unlikely for China to be a threat as its military strength is 20 years behind that of the United States. Although its military is developing new capabilities, it is not a threat in Asia, as reassured by the China's defense minister General Liang Guanglie  at an Asian Security conference in Sinagpore recently.

 

This news should be received with happiness as we know that China, in the past, had not taken any aggressive approach against any country, which has been well recorded in the world history. Here, we can't deny that the past is  a good reference, but it is not a guarantee.

 

Secondly, we should take it  as a solemn pledge by the Chinese government to the intenational community as advocated by its defense minister. This reassurance is timely and the sincerity of the nation showed their care and responsibities. This is crucially important to cool things down especially after the recent tensions which arised from various serious disputes amongst the 2 Koreans countries that killed 46 South Korean sailors. Nuclear disarmment talks that involve the two Koreans, Japan, China, Russia and the United States had begun.

 

With this, we hope that it will relieve us to a certain extent from the worry that the chaos created in the Middle East will spread to Asia, which is still enjoying good economic growth. You can see vividly by now that this healthy economical growth need to be maintained so as to spur more benefits to the peace efforts especially for the US and Europe which need to turn around from their sick economy in the near future. Now, it is critically important that we focus all our energy and time toward building the economic growth towards this direction, rather than destroying it.

 

As such, we should view this military-to-military relationship between China and US as "on a positive trajectory" after a series of setbacks in the recent years, as generally reported. Hence, we have no reason not to be very optimistic about the future of these healthy bilateral and military relations. In this connection, we should welcome the collabration between these two great nations, as a good tie up to spur growth in all aspects with the combination of their wealth Comprising  Advanced Technology, Super Military Facilities  and Wealth so as to take the world towards new era of prosperity and to build a better world.

 

To enhance its fruition toward this ends, we need to caution readers not to indulge and believe the cyber lies which intend to create chaos spread  by certain irresponsible persons with a  hidden agenda. We want to preserve the peace we truly deserved. This is one  of the reasons why we, at lift you up, intend to cover more diverse news so as to keep our readers in a right positive track so that we can use our efforts and time in a good use for a betterment of all of us ultimately.

Today, I am going to introduce an unique author who live is rich in experience, which made him lacks nothing. You can see vividly that the passion he possess, and his inert skills put him far beyond accomplishing true master piece of fine art that is worth reading. The title of his book, For Nothing, truly contradicts with the book which is full of emotions and excitements from the beginning to the end and made every reader glues to the book until the finishing line. A true magical writing every writer is looking for.

BAK CHANG ALTERNATIVE; OAT CHANG

Hi! Everyone,


Some of you may notice distribution of Bak Chang, as a gift, begun to take place among certain quarters of the Chinese community recently prior to the Chang Festival that falls on every fifth day of the fifth lunar month, to be exact the following Monday (June 6, 2011). This centuries old practice has a very significant value in the Chinese community, who love to preserve peace and harmony than anything else. That's the main reason why they preserved this old practice of eating Chang during this festival annually in commemoration to Mr. Qu Yuan's, scholar-poet, patriotism and loyalty towards the country.


This festival accords high honours to the above scholar-poet who took his life by jumping into a river in ancient China as he was saddened when the king refused to act according to his advice, which resulted in a war. Fearing that fishes would eat his body, Qu's friends and supporters made Chang and threw it into the river so that the fishes would eat the Chang instead of Qu's body. Since then, the symbolic act of honour that he had earned from his supporters, out of their love have been practised till today. That's why the scholars have a high social status in ancient China.

Biography
Qu Yuan, born in the Xiling Gorge area of what is today western Hubei province, was a minister in the government of the state of Chu, descended from nobility and a champion of political loyalty and truth eager to maintain the Chu state's power. Qu Yuan advocated a policy of alliance with the other kingdoms of the period against the hegemonic Qin state, which threatened to dominate them all. Legend has it that the Chu king fell under the influence of other corrupt, jealous ministers who slandered Qu Yuan and banished his most loyal counselors. It is said that Qu Yuan returned first to his family's home town. In his exile, he spent much of this time collecting legends and rearranging folk odes while travelling the countryside, producing some of the greatest poetry in Chinese literature and expressing fervent love for his state and his deepest concerns for its future.


According to legend, his anxiety brought him to an increasingly troubled state of health; during his depression, he would often take walks near a certain well, during which he would look upon his reflection in the water and his own person, thin and gaunt. According to legend, this well became known as the "Face Reflection Well." Today on a hillside in Xiangluping in Hubei province's Zigui, there is a well which is considered to be the original well from the time of Qu Yuan.



In 278 BC, learning of the capture of his country's capital, Ying, by General Bai Qi of the state of Qin, Qu Yuan is said to have written the lengthy poem of lamentation called "Lament for Ying" and later to have waded into the Miluo river in today's Hunan Province holding a great rock in order to commit ritual suicide as a form of protest against the corruption of the era.[1]


To add more colour to this legend, Miss Choong Kim Tin, 66, from Penang has given Bak Chang a "healthy makeover" by using oats instead of glutinous rice to make the delicacy. Wow! I am certain some of you may be curious where she got this idea from. She attributed during the recent interview from the Star that she became interested in making oat Chang after hearing from one of her friends two years ago and she managed to come up with the right combination after numerous attempts.

Her recipe is as append below for your information.


1. First stew pork with mushrooms for about an hour.


2. Then mix the gravy with oats until the mixture becomes sticky like the texture of cooked glutinous rice.


3. Its filling usually made of salted egg yolk, dried shrimps, pork and chestnuts.


She eventually began to sell them at the Jelutong market every Friday and Saturday, after she received encouraging feedbacks from her friends and relatives of her oat Chang. She feels happy to see her customers enjoy eating this healthy Chang as oats which can help to reduce cholesterol. Her creativity truly adds value to her customer, in particular, but also to the society at large because she has enriched our lives. Big thanks to her.

James: When did you begin to write?


Lena : I've always written, or at least as long as I can remember. When I was a kid I'd make up stories and write them in little journals.


James : What made you choose this genre and the title of your book?


Lena: I'd read a few vampire books, and I kept wondering why these intelligent, powerful, nearly invincible creatures would hide in the dark instead of trying to overpower the much weaker human race. I started talking about it with my family, and got so involved in thinking about it that I decided to write it down. The first book in the series, The Superiors, introduces the world and the race. The title was an easy pick for me. Superiors is the name the vampires have given themselves, as they consider themselves superior to all else on earth.


James: Where do you get the inspiration for your stories?


Lena : Everywhere. In classrooms, restaurants, outside. Of course other books have inspired me to write when I see a really beautiful passage that makes me want to write. And mostly my life, my encounters, experiences, and surroundings, all inspire my writing.


James: Can you enlighten us a little more about your books?


Lena : The Superiors series is my only adult series. Most of the books I've written are young adult, but the content of The Superiors got too adult along the way, so I changed it. I wanted to be able to put in anything I wanted, even disturbing parts, to give a true picture of the world. I thought if humans were kept as slaves or livestock, some things would be bleak, depressing, and even horrifying. So the book is a bit dark. It follows the journey of one Superior, Draven Castle, as he begins to rediscover his humanity with the help of a human runaway he captures one night.


James: Is there anything else you would like your readers to pay special attention in regards to your book, which you have not mentioned above?


Lena : The Superiors are advanced from humans, but they aren't the traditional pop-culture vampires with super powers and unbelievable beauty. They are as 'realistic' as I could make them, considering they are supernatural beings! Also, the book takes place 200 years in the future, once the takeover has already happened and Superiors are well established as rulers of humanity. The takeover is left mostly to the reader's imagination.



The character's aren't always completely self-aware, so at times you'll have unreliable narrators. There are a hundred other little devices I used to amuse myself, but I'll let people find them if they want to read into it that deeply. Or they can just enjoy the surface level story! There's lots going on.


James: When do you plan to publish your book 2.


Lena : I am in the process of editing book 2. It takes me much longer to edit and polish a piece than to write it the first time around. I want things to be as tight and consistent as they are in the first book, and that takes a while. I hope to have book 2 out sometime this summer.


James : How many volume of books for the above series ?


Lena : There are seven books in The Superiors series. I hope people enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them. And thanks for the great interview, James!

Tsai's success as a singer continued with the release of her 3rd album, 'Castle. Tsai's J1 World Tour included countries across Asia and North America. In that same year, Tsai released J-Game, which sold over 1 million copies in Asia in the span of one month.


In 2006, Tsai left Sony Music Entertainment (Taiwan), and joined EMI Music Taiwan's label Capitol Records(Taiwan). Her 8th album, Dancing Diva, proved more successful than the previous albums. Tsai's Dancing Forever Tour featured a dance performance. The tour spanned across Asia, North America and Australia. In 2005, Tsai won the Golden Melody Award for Best Mandarin Female Singer Award for her album Dancing Forever Tour


In 2008, Tsai released her first English cover album Love Exercise. The sales for this album was lower than expected due to minimal publicity efforts. Tsai ended her contract with EMI Music Taiwan in 2008.


Tsai re-signed her contract with Warner Music Taiwan and released her 10th album, "Butterfly". "Butterfly" was her most successful album to date.


In 2010, Tsai released Myself. The music video features a style of house dance called Vogue. Tsai's December 2010 'Myself World Tour' sold out quickly. The concert, which features Tsai performing dangerous stunts in mid-air, was choreographed by Benny Ninja.


I found this singer is worthy of praise and highest commendation. This young beauty, 30 years young, has been practising her singing while jogging to ensure that she deliver her best, even better than her past. This time she is going to enjoy what she was doing, very much different from her past, where she is more inclined to focus on delivering flawless performance. Her right attitude and spirit of seeking advancement is my role model. Her other talent of creativity is another distinctive feature that most successful persons need to cultivate with.


Being such a successful person and having such punishing busy daily schedules, she can still find time for jogging. She had shown us that setting right priority is the path to success. Meanwhile, I like to take this opportunity to wish her a greater success. Perhaps some of you may want to share some other alternate ideas or ways, such as doing two things at one time, to assist us to create more time for ourselves. Here, I can step forward to this proven practice, which I have prescribed it before and proven to be fruitful.


She reflected her maturity and wisdom in her recent interview which impressed me a lot and it caused me to believe that she will definitely deliver her coming show much better than her past performance. This is because I have learnt from my experience that the more you enjoy yourself and be less focus on flawless performance, you will tend to perform much better and be more natural. Letting your passion take the lead is a much better choice.

A SHORT BRIEF OF CARROLL BRYANT AND HIS BOOK

Dear readers,


I was so excited to know so many authors who have expressed their willingness to allow me to blog their stuff here. I trust you too find it not only interesting, but also inspiring especially those who want to pursue this line as their careers.


With this, trust it will add more colours in our life, but also as a drive for you to share the untold story, from your walk or life you have gone through, just like some of them that I have blogged out much earlier. Your story may be as great as theirs because you have not given yourself a chance to express them out. I am a strong believer that everyone of us have more than a story to tell through your own life. Do not worry if you don't have it now. This is because you have not discovered it yet. So, continue to read and slowly and surely you will discover it.


Today, I have been given the pleasure to present you another writer, whom I got to know from the Goodread Social Network. After reading through his unique profile, I discovered that he began writing on his 18th birthday and who did not get it published despite he has completed it within a couple years thereafter. At that time, though he was just trying to fill up the hours of his day. This does not deter him to publish it in 2010 and make his first dream a reality.


This guy is none other than Carroll Bryant, 36 years, born and raised in Columbus, The United States. He felt funny that he never attempted to get them published much earlier. This is mainly attributed by lack of desire or inner drive. As we all are fully aware that it is one of the main success ingredients which no one afford not to have. Here, perhaps you like to share with us how you fan up your inner drive. I would say that I managed to do so mainly by reading healthy, inspiring and motivational stuffs frequently through books, blogs, tapes, webminars and seminars whenever I have chance to do so.


A late bloomer who has talents, is passionate with life and started writing songs and poetry on his 18th birthday. Luckily, he begin to transfer all his works from floppy's disc to CDR currently. I can imagine how tedious and painful is this lengthy process, which he had to go through before he can get his work out finally. This is because I am also a late bloomer like the author who had gone through the initial stage of computerisation, from the mainframe to iphone technology. This triggered memories of those old days, before paper was created and to preserve all these knowledge, our ancestors had to even carve it into bamboo slips or stones they could find at that time.


This fascinating guy did not stop from there, but continue to make his second dream happened. He got his first book published in May last year, Children Of The Flower Power. Though I have not read his book yet, my gut feeling reveal to me that you will find it worthy to be read. So, grab hold of the book and enjoy your discovery and let us know your feedback thereafter.
