SECOND HALF 2015 UPDATE

Dear Families, Friends, Followers and Fans,

Time flies. 2015 is almost GONE.

Have you ever pondered about how you could attain higher productivity in terms of everything you do to stay 
competitive?

Have you ever wondered why some people seem to have much easier time in creating wealth all the time? What 
is the secret? 

Do you feel as if something is holding you back and you just can't figure out what it is?

Do you struggle with financial difficulties and feel that things are only bound to get worse considering how the 
economy is faring right now or any other excuses?

If your answer is yes to any of the above questions, don’t worry too much. This is because you too can achieve 
success if you are willing to follow the proven recipe which I am going to share with you.

2015 turned out to be another great year for me in view of numerous milestones I have accomplished. It took off from
good to better. People wonder how I did it. I must say that there is no magic to it. I just managed to apply creative 
wealth visualization successfully by having mental picture of what I want to be. Thanks and credits must be given
to several of my online gurus, namely Lisa Nicole, Dr Steve G. Jones, Mario Polio and many others. 

Knowing your mission is critically important. Begin with the end in your mind. Use strategic plan and vision wisely to achieve your 
mission. This is the proven recipe I like to share with you. 

A quick and brief 2015 updates for you:

1.     I have published numerous articles in Smart Investor magazines, Financial First and Money Compass;
conducted numerous self-developed financial training and economic talks with the professional financial 
institutions and international business club respectively. My flagship book, Looking Beyond Financial Statements, 
edition II, Ebook version, had been kicked off apart from Growing Your Wealth Exponentially, Second Edition, 
Looking Beyond Financial Statements - An Investor's Perspective, Financial Literacy for Financial Independence, 
Financial Freedom and Richness is my latest addition for the year.

2.     I also developed several new training programs and slowly kicked off with other new professional institutes. 
So far, I have three (3) SIDC accredited programs and 2 Accredited programs with Malaysian Institute of 
Accountants.

3.     These new additional self-developed programs enable me to take more aggressive approach in the form of 
much more actions and collaborations so as I am able to reach out to a much larger magnitude of people, outside
my state at much faster pace. I have reached East Malaysia covering both Sabah and Sarawak.

4. I also extended my services by providing book review, interviewing by other famous blogger and speaker for

      conferences in the year of 2015. These new avenues enable me to reach out even bigger crowd at much faster 

      speed than before. Thanks to those who have placed the trust and confidence on me. Now, it is the time for me 

       to perform my utmost best. 

      5.   Lastly, my online presence and visibility are still gaining momentum in every aspect. More precisely it is 
      growing effortlessly, explosively and enormously. Thanks to the internet world. My Google plus has hit more than 
      2.0 million views at the time of writing and is still growing similar like my other social media such as LinkedIn, 
      Instagram, Pinterest and etc. 

6.     With these progress, I have managed to secure several more engagements and have also tied up with other 
      training providers to groom larger magnitude of people to achieve their sustainable value creation. Thanks for 
      your kind support that enabled me to make more things happen.

With this, I hope I can continuously add and create value in the society which I have been benefiting from all this while. Please let me know should there be any other areas where my expertise and gifted talents are of assistance to you. These will keep me moving forward to another level of height of success in the second half.

It goes without saying that a trainer that does not read is in danger. I also intensified my research to enhance know-know, training and writing skills.

Few milestones had been achieved in the first half of the year due to you awesome guys who have been generously helping me achieve more with less. Hope I can set a good example of walking my talk, so as to inspire others to achieve their dreams too. I truly appreciate the importance of our dreams in making the world better. Thanks God for empowering me to pursue my other dreams 
despite my advancing age. 

To me, to live life to its fullest is to have your dream materialize in serving people, community and society with 
much greater value and magnitude. Trust, I am in the right track as I walk through my journey.

Blessing breeds blessings. I must conclude and grateful what 2015 bring me another great year with extremely 
excellent head start in the month of January 2015 with three speaking workshops. Two speaking assignments were
on new topics, one is a motivational topic and the other is on economic and business outlook 2015.

With these, I have set a stronger foundation to grow further with my 5Bs approach - Overcoming Barriers, Pushing 
Boundaries, Strengthening Belief, Crossing Borders and To move beyond the Horizon, the theme of my first 
motivational training workshop. To expand my business further is to keep moving beyond in every aspect. Hope 
the same is for you.

INTERVIEW WITH A NOVELIST - TAHIRA AMIR KHAN

1).James : When did you begin to write?

T : This is my first book. So I would say about 3 years ago. 

2) James : When did you first discover that you were a writer?

T: There were several signs leading me to this path. People who read my Facebook updates would comment that they enjoyed my writing style. They described as “fluid with a freedom of style”. I did get hints here and there at work as a Technologist, and even back when I was in my MBA program. The final push came when a family friend advised that because I had such a great wealth of knowledge, if I could just share that with the gift of writing, it would be an enticing read.

3) James : How much did you write before you were published?

T: Mostly on Facebook through my status updates. That was all. I am an avid reader and I have received inspirations from some of the great authors like Malcolm Gladwell, Gregg Braden and Don Brown.

4).James : What is your favourite part of writing?

T: I love storytelling - unravelling mysteries and pulling in my Reader to join me in it. Am I surprised to become an Author? Yes, I am. A pleasant surprise really and I love what I am doing. 

5).James : Tell us about your latest release?

T: It is a true story about my own experiences - a magical, mystical journey across Singapore, Pakistan, Malaysia & Bali. It is filled with thought-provoking theories, puzzles and paradoxes for the unraveling of the Keys to the Golden Door of the New World.

As a technology entreprenuer, in the past many years, I felt confined within, what I termed as the “Old World” of the current. I had a craving for something new.

Outside, my technology work, I had a deep passion for both the science and the spiritual. Out of sheer interest, I began a journey studying the topic of planetary civilizations, when halfway through something else took over. There was a barreling of experiences from stigmata, supernatural experiences in Singapore and Pakistan, divine encounters while in Malaysia, revelatory messages as I explored the nature in Bali and more.

It was such a zealous unfolding impacting my life so greatly, that I began to feel that it was clearly the Hand of God intervening to relay a greater message  … not just for myself, but all of Mankind.

I believe that this book will offer an inspirational and educational reading journey for every adult from all walks of life. As the writer of the 2^nd Foreword of my book, Dr Eric Wilding explains, the the high-minded and those with an unquenchable curiosity, would find this book an exciting read. 6).James : Wow! This book sounds really good. Are you planning on writing more in the years to come?

T: I am releasing a book of Poems in mid 2016. And I have started on the journey for Book 2 of 'Through the Golden Door'. Yes there is a sequel! The planned release will be in 2017.

7).James : So far what is your worst criticism/attacks, and how have you overcome it?

T: I was slowed down many times in the middle of writing. Distracted by a few people who felt that I should focus on my technology business. They considered that path as the “successful” path. After all, isn't true success, happiness in the heart?

But these distractions were just a mere handful. Majority of the time, I received so much support everywhere I would turn. It was definitely a divine sign that I was doing the right thing and I was on the right path. So did not allow those setbacks to stop me. I weaved through them, moving closer and closer to achieving my dream of publishing this book.

I am thankful to Mickey Chiang, the Author of “Fighting Fit”, who read my early manuscript, and advised me to keep working on it as it promised to be “gripping”. I am thankful to Shikha Tuli who is an Educationist. She coaxed me back in mid 2013 to make sure I finished what I embarked on. Her words were a daily reminder. I am thankful to Eric Wilding who made a prophesy way back in December 2013 that I would get more “downloads” and I should continue on.

Finally, I am very thankful to Ameerali Jumabhoy for agreeing to write the 1^st Foreword for this book even before reviewing it. And when he did, he was so impressed that he went over to see my father to specially congratulate him. That fact alone, gave a warm feeling in my heart that all that hard work was worth it!

8).James : What is the accomplishment that you are most proud of?

T: This is my greatest accomplishment. Regardless of the success of this book, even though it is just about to be released, I feel a tremendous sense of satisfaction. This book represents who I am in every sense of the word.

9).James : What  does your writing process  look like? 

T: I just write the way I feel most comfortable. I do not force any way or any method that is considered to be the “norm” into my style. When writing this book, I soaked myself in the freedom to express myself to the maximum. It was in June 2015 when I printed out the entire manuscript for the first time as hardcopies for the reviewers. I was amazed how they felt about my writing style. Another blessing indeed that the signs were all positive.

10).James :  How did you get published?

T: I decided to take Self-publishing route first. As my first book, I was still exploring my signature writing style and kind of books I would like to write. We will see how things work out with some of the major Publishers. I am open to options.

11).James : How do you come up with the title of your book?

T: Originally I titled the book “Transit to Type I”. I was deeply fascinated by our advancement as a planet and the human race as a whole. I researched on astrophysical scales and tried to reason them out with my knowing. I loved that title as it made people wonder what was this “Type 1” was all about. However, from that trusty mnemonic of a book title, over the course of the months it was altered to a new ethereal and mysterious name “Through the Golden Door”. The new title was apt due to the numerous visions and divine interventions. It was God steering me in the right direction. The heavenly realm driving the changes, driving the underlying message for the book.

What's more, the subtitle / slogan of the book is “The Doorway to Our Advancement” My advancement or uplifting alongside with the characters in the book. As the protogonist, throughout the book I am searching for the Keys for this advancement - for this elusive Golden Door. Moreover, the Golden Door is mult-faceted with multiple meanings.

12).James : Can you enlighten us a little more about your book?

T: This book is multi-dimensional in its own way. Depending on your perspective, you can view it differently based on what you would relate it to.

However, through this magical, mystical journey which keeps your heart and mind in awe and wonder, the underlying essence and message of this book really is about Unity.

Here is an abstract of the 1^st Foreword by Ameerali R. Jumabhoy which highlights this impeccably:

' … There are too many paeans to the power of spirituality that do not resonate with contemporary life. This book is not one of them. Tahira relates her experiences in a way that endears you to her and at the same time challenges your perceptions on the way the world is viewed by modern society. 13).James: Tell us your guiding principle that governs your life?

T: To be led by the Spirit of God. To be true to myself. To be fearless and to take the path that is unique for me – even if it is the path less travelled. When it came to writing style, I did not follow any “standards” or any structured training programs on the how-to's of writing. I simply went with the flow. I went with what resonated within me. That avenue can be harder as it is untried and untested.

The other principle I follow closely is that I have developed “communal” approach to life. To getting things done. To be open to feedback from others. For instance, very early on when I was barely halfway in my writing, I kept most of the future reviewers informed about my book. While they waited for me to write, I kept them posted on my progress. As soon as the manuscript was finished, I requested for their honest feedback. No matter how negative the feedback I would get, I taught myself to be ready to receive the criticism with humility and to make the required improvements.

14).James : How have you cultivated these values?

T: I attribute most of the good values that I developed to my parents.  They are deeply passionate about their endevours.

My father's passion is for his trade in rare and antique Persian carpets. He has  taken care of them for years with such tender loving care. There are many in his collection which span more than 50 years, and yet to this day, they are flawless.  Similarly with my mother. Her great love for teaching English to young minds in Pakistan. She goes into her element as she dramatizes the learning experience. Children who could not speak a word of English, would  be speaking rather fluently in less than a year. Her passion for the language passed on to them.

With such notable example of parents, how could I not emulate their passion and zeal? Witnessing that from a young child, it became part of me, part of my psyche.

Some of the reviewers of my book who saw how I persevered on till the completion of the book would say, 'I saw you put your whole Self into this!”

Yes, I did. So deeply impassioned, I lost myself in the tapestry of thoughts and words as the mystical story unfolded. But more than ever, with every great creation, comes great sacrifice. My father battled the ups and downs of the Carpet industry as low quality machine-made carpets would come in to flood the market. But he soldiered on to promote the antiquity and artistry of the genuine, rare and hand-made pieces. My mother did the same as she took the bold leap to venture into the rural parts of Pakistan to give access to the English education to young children there.

Their perseverance and bravado taught me to overcome all the obstacles I faced in pursuing my dream as a Writer / Storyteller. Throughout 2015, I went into full-time writing. As the earnings stopped, I reduced my daily expenditure to the bare minimum. At times I would just have a meal a day as I stayed focused on this endeavor. It was hard. Very hard. But I was determined to complete the book and release it before the end of 2015. Mission accomplished!

15).James : Do you have any advice for writers looking to get published?

T: Simply write what is in your heart, what drives you, what gives you most joy. I chose what gave me the greatest amount of joy - that is, being deeply passionate about the mysteries of the Universe, understanding where we are heading toward and our future Selves. God came in to guide me to take it to another level. And that was just perfect. Creating a “Giant” of a book authored by a person who discovered and unleashed the “Giant” of herself.

18).James : Do you have anything else you would like to share?

After you have heard of my recent gifts of having my master bathroom getting a new face lift for our tired body and new wet kitchen for more healthy food at home, things do not stopped from there. Trust these activities will create more jobs for our community in times of exceptionally domestic economic slowdown. By doing so, I also take full advantage of much lower labor costs and bigger discount on those materials I bought from those suppliers, if source appropriately, despite the adverse effect from Goods Service Tax and highly depreciated value of Ringgit in term of US dollars.

In view of more hectic schedule ahead arising from recent promotional efforts, I rather make better use of my time before the year end to accomplish as much as possible. What I know is to have a more peaceful mind to stay focus on my greater challenges ahead. To overcome those challenges is to be better prepared and response well to the changes.

As you know, I am a contrarian in nature, which I have learned from those successful investors, they are more aggressive when normal people are fearful of the situation. 

On the other hand, they are more conservative when normal people are more aggressive. Similarly, this sound concept can also apply in any renovation or repair works needed if we know how to use it for our advantage.

THERE'S AMAZING IN EVERY DAY. WHAT WILL YOU DISCOVER TODAY?

Next project in my mind is to acquire a new reliable car as my existing old car is already more than 10 years despite it has been recently repaired to bring to its best possible condition. Old car is old car.

YOU LEARN MORE OF THOSE YOU LOVE ON EVERY TRIP.

To have more peaceful mind, I am considering a brand new Honda City, which is currently giving a good rebate. From my survey, this car is the best of its kind in terms of safety, performance and price. I also heard that this latest version has overcome gear box issues encountered by its earlier versions. No surprise that this car has climbed off its previous high horse in Malaysia’s biggest vehicle segment by storm. It is the most complete product in its class, with contemporary style, a smooth and flexible drive train, much more spaces and commendable safety features. In short, value for money in its class.

This third car can also be used by my two younger children who are doing their A levels locally. Hence, relieve me from ferrying them back from college, if they may have to stay back for whatever extra-activity which they need to participate.

In view of these great challenges ahead, I need to take more courageous move to make things happen. Fortunately, my experiences of overcoming several crises personally and at my professional level have made me more skillful in facing the new challenges with much more confidence.

I realised that critical thinking skill is become more important in our daily lives in view of rapidly super-fast changing world we are encountering now. One thing is certain is how we will constantly improve our skill in every aspect to make better decisions process. Better thinking will lead to better outcome, if implementation is effective. Energy flows where intention goes. Keep moving forward freely, fiercely and fearlessly.

If progress is not optional, learning is not mandatory. Now, I am able to connect back to those missing dots in my life. I can see that all those struggles I have been going through are meant to make me stronger, wiser, better, and not bitter. Thanks Lord for empowering me to see from this perspective and keep me moving toward what I destined for.

What I can say is that what I have been doing is not easy, but worth doing it. I am fully satisfied with every accomplishment. This is because I have fully discharged them and I have more energy to move ahead with more committed plans and eventually will become what I destined for. My inner voice is overwhelming and I must be steadfast in pursuing my new personalized path no matter what. That’s me. I want to be my authentic self and walk my talk.

I am prepared and ready to face outside music, if there is. Similarly, I am well aware that I need to cut through the fog like a beacon in the night.

As a best practice, I write to record on this blog what I planned to do and all these details can serve as my reference and guidance. By doing so, I am not only able to share my knowledge and skill, but also learn from others who may have better views of getting thing done.

LATEST PROFILE OF JAMES OH DECEMBER 2015

He is a chartered Accountant with a Law degree.  A financial specialist in value creation since 1980, he has been working under the most arduous situations. However, he is able to produce "impossible to believe" outcomes.

He had helped the founder of a private limited company to grow organically into a publicly listed company and turn around the company and weathered through the Asian Financial Crisis in 1986-7 before James went to work in a newly Singaporean Listed Company. He successfully obtained a banking loan for the erection of its own building within his first year of service. His inner voice was overwhelming after he had vetted through the short and long term celebrity’s contract.

Finally, he came back into his first venture in the internet shore in 1998, he was amongst the few experienced oldies who took a brave and bold initiative in what appears to be an irresponsible decision at that time. He still considered himself to be fortunate in the sense that the online business he sees today is many times different from what it was then. Being one of the first few entrepreneurs to venture there, he of course was looked upon very oddly by the many people around him then.

He was approached by someone who expressed his interest to acquire his blog a year after his new venture. You can imagine how much the blog was worth to him at that time. If you need to start a new blog, you will need to start from scrap, consider what name should be chosen and how to draw the traffic to your blog and so on.

Maybe due to his friendly and helpful character, he managed to make many friends over the globe. he was fortunate enough to be introduced to a few authors and experienced marketers. Soon after his blog got its first break when he was awarded an award and honour prior to his Certified Profession Trainer license from .M.P.M.A, UK and Train The Trainers license from MPSB (Malaysia). The rest is history.

His timing seems to be right again as at that time he started to publish his books and book reviews online before he took it further as an articles writer, conducting courses through various professional institutes and business club. And so this time it was much easier to get connected with the publishers and finally get his articles published in the multiple media such as Smart Investor, Financial First and Money Compass. 

As his name and articles spreads, he was then invited to interview from our renowned local financial expert cum blogger. He is none other than Mr. KC Lau. Thereafter, he was also invited to give a public talk on his latest book, Financial Literacy for Financial Independence, Freedom and Richness apart from his other ventures of getting his books published in hard copy. Now, James ultimately makes his dream of becoming a public speaker a reality. He is a living proof of sustainable value creation which he preached, setting himself apart from the rest of the trainers and speakers.

My decision of venturing into internet shore has brought me many blessing despite initially it appeared to be irresponsible. As I put my passion into this newly found fashion.

I am now not only I am truly enjoy working with, besides having able to produce several greenest book  in Ebooks on the planet which I have announced from time to time.

Please share and comment should you have any other ideas as how people make their physical printed out book as eco-friendly as possible. To me, Eco-friendly is not an option if we truly cared about our planet as it has been badly damaged. We can’t live by putting it aside. We need either collectively or individually do something as much as possible to reverse the damage or at least maintain the rate.

I am a strong believer that eco-friendly environment tis the way forward. This is because it can ensure circular growth rather than the linear growth. The latter is very unlikely to sustain.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Dear Families, Friends, Followers and Fans,

We often take for granted things that most deserve our gratitude. After all, gratitude consists of being more aware of what you have, instead of what you don’t. If anything makes us count our blessings, in the wake of the terrible terrorist attacks in Paris, is that no matter what actions deranged people may carry out, we still have our freedom, we hold our heads up high, and we will continue to live our lives to the fullest. We will continue to get together with friends and family, enjoy a glass of wine, a show, or discover new places abroad. This is because we refuse to be afraid.

That is something that terrorists will never manage to take away from us, wherever we may live in this world. On this day, I reflect on the fact that I live in a free country, with a roof over my head, that my family and friends are safe and sound in Malaysia, and that I am surrounded with so many loving and caring people I met throughout my more than fifty years I have lived on this beautiful place.

To see the amazing outpour of love and solidarity from everyone fills my heart with joy: together we stand united as one regardless of colours, religions and status.
