THE PASTOR AND HIS SON

A good reminder of God's Love.
Every Sunday afternoon, after the morning service at the church, the Pastor and his eleven year old son would go out into their town and hand out Gospel Tracts.
This particular Sunday afternoon, as it came time for the Pastor and his son to go to the streets with their tracts, it was very cold outside, as well as pouring down rain. 

The boy bundled up in his warmest and driest clothes and said, 'OK, dad, I'm ready.'

 

His Pastor dad asked, 'Ready for what?'
'Dad, it's time we gather our tracts together and go out.' Dad responds, 'Son, it's very cold outside and it's pouring down rain.'
The boy gives his dad a surprised look, asking, 'But Dad, aren't people still going to Hell, even though it's raining?'
Dad answers, 'Son, I am not going out in this weather.' Despondently, the boy asks, 'Dad, can I go? Please?'
His father hesitated for a moment then said, 'Son, you can go. Here are the tracts, be careful son.'
'Thanks Dad!'
And with that, he was off and out into the rain. his eleven year old boy walked the streets of the town going door to door and handing everybody he met in the street a Gospel Tract.
After two hours of walking in the rain, he was soaking, bone-chilled wet and down to his VERY LAST TRACT. He stopped on a corner and looked for someone to hand a tract to, but the streets were totally deserted.
Then he turned toward the first home he saw and started up the sidewalk to the front door and rang the door bell. He rang the bell, but nobody answered. He rang it again and again, but still no one answered. He waited but still no answer.
Finally, this eleven year old trooper turned to leave, but something stopped him. Again, he turned to the door and rang the bell and knocked loudly on the door with his fist. He waited, something holding him there on the front porch! He rang again and this time the door slowly opened. 

 

Standing in the doorway was a very sad-looking elderly lady. She softly asked, 'What can I do for you, son?' 

 

With radiant eyes and a smile that lit up her world, this little boy said, 'Ma'am, I'm sorry if I disturbed you, but I just want to tell you that *JESUS REALLY DOES LOVE YOU* and I came to give you my very last Gospel Tract which will tell you all about JESUS and His great LOVE.'
With that, he handed her his last tract and turned to leave. She called to him as he departed. 'Thank you, son! And God Bless You!'
Well, the following Sunday morning in church Pastor Dad was in the pulpit. As the service began, he asked, 'Does anybody have any testimony or want to say anything?'

Slowly, in the back row of the church, an elderly lady stood to her feet. As she began to speak, a look of glorious radiance came from her face, 

'No one in this church knows me. I've never been here before. You see, before last Sunday I was not a Christian. My husband passed on some time ago, leaving me totally alone in this world. 

Last Sunday, being a particularly cold and rainy day, it was even more so in my heart that I came to the end of the line where I no longer had any hope or will to live.
So I took a rope and a chair and ascended the stairway into the attic of my home. I fastened the rope securely to a rafter in the roof, then stood on the chair and fastened the other end of the rope around my neck. 

Standing on that chair, so lonely and brokenhearted I was about to leap off, when suddenly the loud ringing of my doorbell downstairs startled me. I thought, 'I'll wait a minute, and whoever it is will go away.' 

I waited and waited, but the ringing doorbell seemed to get louder and more insistent, and then the person ringing also started knocking loudly. I thought to myself again, 'Who on earth could this be? Nobody ever rings my bell or comes to see me.' 

I loosened the rope from my neck and started for the front door, all the while the bell rang louder and louder.
When I opened the door and looked I could hardly believe my eyes, for there on my front porch was the most radiant and angelic little boy I had ever seen in my life. His SMILE, oh, I could never describe it to you! 

The words that came from his mouth caused my heart that had long been dead, TO LEAP TO LIFE as he exclaimed with a cherub-like voice, 'Ma'am, I just came to tell you that JESUS REALLY DOES LOVE YOU.' 

Then he gave me this Gospel Tract that I now hold in my hand.
As the little angel disappeared back out into the cold and rain, I closed my door and read slowly every word of this Gospel Tract. Then I went up to
my attic to get my rope and chair. I wouldn't be needing them any more.
You see---I am now a Happy Child of the KING. Since the address of your church was on the back of this Gospel Tract, I have come here to personally say THANK YOU to God's little angel who came just
in the nick of time and by so doing, spared my soul from an eternity in hell.'
There was not a dry eye in the church. And as shouts of praise and honor to THE KING resounded off the very rafters of the building, Pastor Dad descended from the pulpit to the front pew where the little angel was seated.
He took his son in his arms and sobbed uncontrollably. Probably no church has had a more glorious moment, and probably this universe has never seen a Papa that was more filled with love & honor for his son... Except for One.
Our Father also allowed His Son to go out into a cold and dark world. He received His Son back with joy unspeakable, and as all of heaven shouted praises and honor to The King, the Father sat His beloved Son on a throne far above all principality and power and every name that is named.
Blessed are your eyes for reading this message.
Don't let this message die, read it again and pass it to others. Heaven is for His people!

Append below please find an article written by my eldest Son for your reading pleasure. 

I've been very fond of drawing and designing since young. On paper, I enjoy the freedom of expressing my ideas through the creations of my artworks. As I grew older, my interest in writing started to grow as I realize that language is a form of art as well, and through writing, ideas and thoughts can be conveyed precisely. I have faith that this passion of mine would serve  the community by expressing ideas that are beneficial to the society.

I'm very lucky because I'm a fast learner. With this blessing, I continuously seek knowledge and fully utilize and apply them creatively not only in my future career but also in life. I acknowledge that  there will be challenges ahead in life, however, when problems emerge, I don't back down, instead I would see it as an opportunity to grow. I would reason and analyze carefully because I believe that there are always solutions to any problems. 

Like they always say, we cannot live in solitude. Hence, I too believe socializing with others gives us opportunity to sharpen each other by sharing ideas and receiving feedback. I am easily adaptable as I can interact well with people and maintain good relationship with all parties. Through years of education and my bilingual family background, I manage to  hold both the values of the east as well the west, providing me with more than sufficient resources to nurture relationship with people of diverse background, sharing ideas and opinions to improve each other in various fields, in the mean time, improving the whole community. Therefore, I firmly believe that I can play a significant role in the society base on my unique strengths and talents.

MANAGING CASH FLOW EFFECTIVELY

Dear friends,

How many of you have heard of the phrase "Cash is King"? I believe many of have. Why is cash King? This is because cash is the lifeblood of any company. It reflects the financial health of your business. The in and out of your cash flow will be the determining factor on how you manage your finances. If the inflow of money is not sufficient to cater for the needs of the business, it may somehow affect the viability of the company. Hence, cash flow is a key element of the success of any business. Without cash flow, the profits are meaningless. 

Some profitable business may even end up in bankruptcy or be wound up, should the amount of money flowing out is not comparative to the amount of money flowing in. Companies that has no good management of cash flow may not be able to make the investments necessary to compete, or may be forced to pay more in its loan activity.

Because of its crucial importance, I would like to share some tips with you on how to manage the cash flow effectively:

1. Make a projection of cash flow over a periodic of time.

Always determine how much the inflow before determining the future cash to be spent. Pay accordingly to the priority especially if there is a heavy penalty fee imposed should you not settle on or before its due date. Interest and overdue charges may be very expensive and this is an added expense for your business.

2. Cash collection needed to be reviewed and improved constantly.

To encourage your clients to pay on time or earlier is a wise move. Alternatively, you may request some down payments for ordered purchases, if applicable. Review and monitor receivables regularly and identify those that are about to become due.

3. Try not to pay debts earlier than due date even if there is cash available for you to do so, always on due date.

Establishing a good pay master  track record with your suppliers will help you  build goodwill for your company. This will assist you in obtaining more flexible and better payment terms and conditions.

4. You may make good use of the surplus funds at any period of time to earn some interest income by placing them into the money market. The quantum of interest income generated is very much dependent on the period of the available surplus fund and the interest regime at that particular time.

Therefore, it is very rewarding for anyone who is willing to work hard and smart to accomplish strong cash flow. To do so, you are required to analyze and manage your cash flow more effectively and fruitfully.

By now, you are able to see how cash flow will determine failure and success of any business. Sometimes one will have to a pay heavy price for just stretching the payment terms.

NEVER SAY NEVER

VERY WARM WELCOME TO THIS UPLIFTING BLOG.

I was born at only 2.5 kgs. But my nickname is Tua Tow in Hokkein, meaning BIG HEAD because my head was relatively bigger than my body size Tua Tow Tua Tow, sounds cute right?  But you can even call me Tua Tow Kay (big boss).


I began to work at 12 and discovered that Education is the only viable way for me to break off from poverty chain. Since then I strived to follow the foot steps of those successful people and noticed that some of their backgrounds are even worse than mine. If they can achieve success, why can't I?

I began by choosing to play the winning game like chess. I was the Captain who led my primary school in participating at the Majlis Sukan  Sekolah-sekolah Pulau Pinang under 12 Chess competitions in 1973. I achieved an excellent track record for the entire tournament event.

However, due to some unfortunate and unforeseen event, I could not progress further and since then I seldom play the game as it really hurts me.

I also needed to help my mum to sells lottery tickets to supplement our house's income . After my mother’s serious accident, I took over and maintained the business till a few months before my M.C.E. examination, which is SPM now.

I then painfully discontinued this small business to focus on my study, which she disagreed with in view of our tight financial situation, which I could understand. Luckily, many years later, she understood that I made the right decision.

Another blessing came when I obtained a Grade One in my M.C.E. But my joy was short lived because I could not obtain placing in Form 6 at government (public) school, despite many rounds of appeals. I even went to see our Penang Chief Minister, late Tun Lim Chong Eu, but he did not have time for me.

But I didn't despair nor give up. Through my good grades, I got a job as Laboratory Assistant assigned to World Health Organisation and Sumitomo projects. The late Professor from the Biology School, Universiti Sains Malaysia encouraged me immensely which sparked my desire to pursue my dream further.

At that time, I took LCCI intermediate book-keeping classes. Again, due to dire financial constraints, I opted to do self study and not attending night classes, which the teacher assured me that I would FAIL . But I passed the examination with my hard work and fortitude . I began to aspire to become an Accountant.

Anyone here love tiger prawns? Interestingly, prior to my LCCI exam, I also have another project of rearing tiger prawns with a friend. “So who says man can’t multitask ?”

From the professor's encouragement, I then persevered  to pursue my Form 6 in Private School with my earnings from my part time job.

But another battle began because all subjects were in Bahasa Malaysia and my year was the last batch for MCE where Science and Mathematics were in English . Determination and Staying focus helped me to overcome this challenges apart from having to give tuition to 4 school students 2-3 hours Everyday except Sunday. The fees I earned just barely covered all my school expenses and my monthly bike instalment. 

Without any income for about 3 months prior to my examination as I stopped giving tuition,  my only option was attending classes without paying school fees and being prepared to face whatsoever consequence.

Fortunately, my STPM result got me into a local university that we could only afford. I was so exultant because I made it at last after all the hassles and obstacles. 

From  my turbulent life history, I learnt that we dictate the path, nothing can stop us so long we don't give in and give up.We just need to be accountable, decisive, committed, audacious and stay focus as we stride along our life journey.

HOW TO ACHIEVE SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS GROWTH

Point 2. By incorporating a popular quotation at the surface of this pot, the people may connect it with the creator whenever they see the tea pot and hence have a high tendency to form a long lasting memory of the creator in their minds.

Therefore, the purpose of crafting a satisfying narrative is to get the message in sustaining this business.

In this connection, Apple is sending a clear message of simplicity as its identity seen consistently throughout all its products.

Point 3. The trade mark at the bottom of this pot, not only reflects the creator's identity in term of its specialty, uniqueness, and other talents, but also serves as an attractive power for people to unearth its underlying story.

Similar concept also has been employed by all the long successful corporations. Apple for instance, has been successful in creating an Impression of high quality for its products, apart from its simplicity as its identity.

Point 4. With the above smart strategies, its creator has indirectly enhance its new usage. This tea port is also used as a hedging tool against inflation amongst its collectors. Hence, it stays significantly relevant at all times and continuously enjoy long and lasting business growth over many centuries. In short, it is obviously creating not only new demand but remains a significant contributor in the global economy.

Such strategies employed by Apple for the introduction of its new products such as iPad, which is far more superior than iPhone and Laptop. Hence, it delivers SOMETHING that we do  NOT EVEN KNOW THAT we ARE MISSING by Combining email, internet browser and social network into something new.

With this, a new product is born by combining 3 devices into 1 device. I repeat, it is not 3 separate devices, but 1 device.

With the above 4 points, I am very sure that you will find them useful when you plan your future business to ensure that it can sustain the business and make REAL profit.

In conclusion, it is critically important to remember that starting business is very easy, the real challenge is how  we can sustain the business for the real long term profit.

IT IS CRITICALLY IMPORTANT TO DEFINE YOUR'S LIFE PURPOSE

VERY WELCOME TO THIS UPLIFTING BLOG

To live life meaningfully and reap its greatest potential possible, we need to have a definite purpose that guides our ambitions, vision, and goals. Otherwise, we are just like the sailing boat without compass and do not know where we are heading to. Please give it a serious thought and define your life soonest possible.

What was the past is not important and what matters now is that each of us has specific talents and gifts that are uniquely built within us. For those who have truly discovered their REAL purpose, then we write to take this opportunity to congratulate you. In this connection, greatly appreciate if you could enlighten us on how you discover it. Thank you in advance for your kind action.

We strongly believe that we do not just pick up things we like doing by chance along our lives. What we are trying to say here is that we discovered what you are good at because we were meant to discover it. There is no coincidence, but rather that your legs are meant to walk instead of your hands. This is because it is created with that intent in the first place.

Therefore, it is appropriately right to say that your unique gifts are hardwired into your system just like the rest of your organs are assigned to function that particular blueprint integrated with the rest and function as a whole, so to speak.

Through these specific talents and gifts, you are able to define and determine your definite purpose as to why you are here, which you have been created for in the first place. What is in you that is distinctly different from another living human being. In fact, it is rarely possible that what you bring to the table has been duplicated since time began.

That is right! This “purpose” is a very serious business and that's why we bring this topic into today's discussion with the intention that you discover your real purpose if you have not done so. Otherwise, sad to say that everything else is wrong. We say so because it is just like working with a broken compass when you think you are heading North, but actually you are not. In short, if you are unsure which direction you are heading, you are just wandering aimlessly.

Without our purpose identified firmly in our mind, we will wander through life. We will not feel that we are “in the real flow, the way it supposed to be.” As such, it is imperative we recognize what it is that we are good at and what we really love and enjoy doing.

Our real purpose in this lifetime is to do the thing that we truly love, and not just to fulfill other's purpose which is not ours. As such, you are not to let non important issues distract your attention at all when you are sorting out your real purpose.

The truth is that you can earn money at anything through Resources, Ideas, Capital and Expertise. Once you have determined your purpose, you would not even have to think hard on how to earn money. This is because once you are doing what you love, you will be guided, as if, by an unseen hand, heading to the right direction and everything will just falls into place - Real and not imagined.
