LIFE IS AN EXPERIENCE

Greetings from Malaysia,

Life is full of experiences both good and bad. If you got a good experience consider yourself lucky. If not just take it with a pinch of salt and consider it as a learning experience. The more experiences you have the richer and more colourful is your life. A life full of experiences will give you more stories to share.

My 6th chemotherapy provided me a new experience. I had failed to get a twin room but was fortunate to get a single room about 200 square feet. I paid rm 238 which to me, is rather steep for the facilities that came with it.

I have no words to describe it but if you care to see the condition of the room see the attached photos.

For me, this round of chemotherapy has created another new record as the entire process took more than 12 hours i.e. from 5.30pm to 9.00am the following day. What if I have opted for daycare? Does it mean that I have to sleep on the deck chair? I have no answer for that as I have yet to experience it.

Sad to say the facilities, as well as the physical appearance, need upgrading and proper maintenance. Could it be due to overwhelming response to seek treatments there or a lack of funds? Or the items could only be replaced if they broke down completely?

Therefore do not come with high expectations just appreciate what you have been offered. Hear and see no evil. Be thankful that you have a dedicated specialist to treat you, other things are not important.

As usual, at the end of your stay, you are given the opportunity to give your feedback. To me what is the point of wasting the time to fill in knowing that they are not listening at all, looking at the surrounding evidence? I rather save my time to do what I supposed to do.

After all have another 3 more months to go.

Cheers n hope that 2018 will be a better year.

Thanks. Remember your feedback is invaluable.
With unconditional love,
James Oh
