MY STORY AND LIFE PURPOSE

This is My story and Life purpose

Greetings from Malaysia,

This toiletry set, which was supposed to be complimentary with the room from UMSC, but was only given to me when I requested it. Well, I guess they practised the policy: "Ask and you shall be given". Do not be shy and open your mouth to request politely anything that you need.

It certainly brought me back to the past. It happened more than ten yrs old when I was on a business trip to the UK. For the first time in my life, I got to travel first class. It was then that I was given a toiletry set which was made of leather and far nicer than the present one. It was one of the most memorable gifts that I have received. To this day I still use it whenever I travel.

The reason I was sent for this business trip was to negotiate with the insurance company for compensation for the loss of our plane. At that time I was assigned to take charge of the company's insurance portfolio due to my past experience of successfully claiming a consequential loss due to flood. The trip was nevertheless fruitful as my team succeeded in making the claim despite it was initially declined by the underwriters as they cited the breach of the named pilot clause.

However, we have to access all the possibilities and loopholes before we managed to win the case.
Not only did we get the compensation but also managed to gain on currency conversion. When we bought the plane the ringgit against the USD was strong but when we made the claim it was the reverse. It was definitely a windfall for the company and truly a blessing for me.

After this successful claim, we began to place our fleet strategically so as to enjoy finer rate without much adverse impact on our overall fleet due to our loss' record.

As a result, I have to shoulder heavier responsibilities and fly there annually to negotiate directly with the world’s major insurance underwriters and brokers. It was a very challenging and fulfilling job which I enjoyed very much. A sweet memory that I will never forget!

I spent the longest years of service in this company. This is the company where I worked very hard with my cohorts to transform it from a private limited company to a publicly listed company in Bursa Malaysia. However today it had lost all its glories and has been delisted from the Bursa Malaysia due to its failure to restructure.

However, due to differences in viewpoint, I had to take up both roles as financial controller cum internal head. The top management insisted on letting me head both the risk management and internal audit departments which I felt will put me in a situation of conflict of interest.

The reason they cited for putting me in both positions was that I was well versed in both the operation and processes. Moreover, the monitoring system was implemented and adapted by me based on my previous experience from the past companies I worked with. I must thank God for guiding me on the right path as subsequently, the company got into trouble with the authorities though at that time I have not accepted him as my savour. God is great.

After a series of trials and tribulations, I finally accepted Him. His Grace strengthened my weakness and I managed to bounce back and will let Him lead my hand forever. This is my story and my life purpose as well.

Trials are temporary if we have faith. Place your trust in Him who can lead to salvation.

Cheers and feedback is welcome,

With unconditional love,

OH JAMES FACEBOOK

Oh James Facebook
Hey! Gals and Guys,
I posted previously that I have created another new Facebook account under the name Oh James as an additional account as the original James Oh account has already reached its threshold long ago.
Surprisingly my new FB account has garnered an overwhelming response. At the time of writing it has reached more than 3000 followers in just a short span of time. Wow! Not bad eh? You are welcome to add me and stay connected with me. Thank in advance for your kind support.

As a result, several fan pages namely, James Oh, Lift You Up, Money Tells Stories were created some time ago. A fan page, Better Than The Best, was created after my first book especially for my fans and followers.

As usual, I will take every opportunity to make the best use of them. To be honest, I still have no clue how to monetise them unlike my blogs, linkedin and ebooks.

I hope my newly appointed mentor will assist me in consolidating and syncing strategically all my social media into one single media effectively under my brand name so that I can make the best use of them.

Landing page and video clips will follow suit before I can further access to more renown magazine in order to capitalise my strength on content marketing. So far I have successfully published and republished my articles in both online n offline magazines and journals. Thank for those who have placed their confidence in me.

My next pipeline is to look for sponsorships to launch my book, Letting Go and Moving on, the second edition which has been edited and now sourcing for independent reviews.

My momentum is gaining and I am so inspired that I have almost completed my ninth book, Cancer: Fear or Inspiration, despite struggling with the big C....

It further strengthened my belief that everything is possible with God. He can make miracles happen and has been merciful to me as well as answered my prayers. I am indeed so blessed. PTL.

Cheers and hope you have learnt something useful.

Cheers and look forward to hearing from you,

Unconditional love,
James Oh

LIFE IS FULL OF UNCERTAINITIES

Life is full of uncertainties

Hi! Everyone,

Life is full of uncertainties. I am so lucky to have bought an insurance policy 20 years ago to cover some critical illnesses. Thank God I have the foresight to purchase the policy as it has become handy since I have been diagnosed with the big C... With this hospitalisation cum medical police, it provides coverage for my surgery and follows up treatments I can’t imagine how I am going to pay for my treatments if I am not covered by insurance. The treatments are many and costly and occasionally when there are side effects I have to seek further consultations which cost money.

Recently someone recommended me another insurance policy, CSR which permits me to purchase even though I am already a stage 3 C ... patient. Again this is timely as it will allow me to leave an additional inheritance to my daughter to fund her education, in case I am called by the Lord before she completes her studies. Bless me Lord.

For those of you who have not purchased any insurance policy, I urge you to act fast as there is a limited time frame for this type of insurance as their risk exposure is generally much higher than normal ones.

I must caution you that you can only purchase a policy with less than rm100k coverage. This figure is not huge but it also comes with an additional rm400k personal accident coverage.

Cumulatively the amount is almost half a million. Not too bad.
Hope you have something useful,

Cheers and wishing you a happy New Year 2018,

With unconditional love,
James Oh

MY SIXTH CHEMO UPDATE

My sixth chemo updates

Hi! Gals and Guys,

After my 4th chemotherapy, I began to suffer side effects, my kidney was affected followed by a drop in my platelets level resulting in bleeding when I passed the motion.

There was a minor side effect after the 5th chemotherapy. This has prompted me to stop taking Xedola until a few days ago when my oncologist told me to it was alright to continue taking Xeloda after I went to consult him as I had rashes on my limbs.

Praise the Lord that after I applied the creams prescribed both by my sister and oncologist.

The side effects of chemo are varied and cumulative and become more and more intense as more and more treatments are completed.

This time my secondary school buddy gave me a lift to the hospital as my youngest brother is on leave until the next year. Wow! Sounds like he is on leave for a whole year.
Big thank you to my buddy who is also a member of my bible study group.

As usual, they will do the mandatory blood test to ascertain if I am fit to proceed with the treatment. It will be followed up with the other routine tests.

To my disappointment, I was unable to get a twin bedded room in spite of having made the reservation much earlier. I had to check in a single bedded room which costs rm238 per day. This is rm 100 more than the former. Hopefully, all other treatments will not be priced higher as it is going to eat into my budget. I only have a fixed amount of insurance coverage for medical expenses for one year. I wish they will be more considerate to the patients as most of us are not wealthy and would like to live within our means.

Haha! I am lucky to get a room with the no 1031. 31 in Cantonese means wants to live. This well reflects my desire to live to accomplish all the missions I have yet to achieve.

My weight has increased 200 gm and my blood test result was good enough for me to proceed with my 6th chemotherapy.

Everything went smoothly as they proceeded with the last treatment for 2017.

Please continue to pray that there will not be any adverse side effects and my organs will not be affected.
I am still continuing with Baqua Qigong, detoxification treatments, taking Chinese medicine and spiritual readings regularly. I believed that these practices have either helped to eliminate or reduce the side effects.

This is timely as I have exhausted 2/3 of my insurance coverage for this year.

In 2018 I will have a new limit as my insurance has an annual threshold and it will be sufficient to cover the remaining treatments. Praise the Lord.

Stay tuned for my updates and I hope you have learnt something beneficial.

Cheers and look forward to hearing from you,

Unconditional love,
James Oh

LIFE IS FULL OF CHALLENGES

Life is full of challenges

Hi! gals and guys,

Life is full of ups and downs. We are given these challenges by God to become stronger as we dealt with them. So also with my journey to seek treatment for C.....

However, I am been blessed by God that my journey is not easy but I have met many Samaritans who have rendered me help, some at my darkest time. To these people a big thank you.
Hope you will remain by my side as I complete my treatment. Thank God for all mercies and blessings that You have showered on me.

I am very fortunate to have such a dedicated oncologist to treat me. On one of my treatments, he dropped me a visit around 7pm, much to my surprise, after visiting another patient even though I was staying in a different block from his consultation suite.
However, he has voiced his objection and requested me not to stay at this ward for my future treatments. His reasons were that it was inconvenient for him as it would take time for him to walk there. That valuable time can be used to treat other patients and if it is raining it would be impossible for him to visit me without getting wet. I really appreciate his concerns and will be considerate not to check in there in the future.

However, in this matter, I do not have the privilege of choice as to when I registered for treatment I was allocated the room. I will try to be more alert in the future and will refuse to accept the rooms in another building. I too can’t understand the rationale of being given such a room. I have no choice but to undergo my treatment on a deck chair if I failed to get a room. I don’t mind suffering some discomfort for the sake of other patients.
So far he has been very impressed with my progress though it was not exactly a smooth and perfect journey. I hope the future treatments would be more smooth sailing. Bless me, God.

I am adapting well with 66 oral tablets per cycle of two weeks. I hope he would maintain that but of course, I will abide by whatever his decision. After all, he is the expert.

On 28 Dec, I will undergo my 6th chemo. After this, it means that I have successfully ridden through half of my journey. By end of March 2018, I would have completed the whole course of treatment. Allelujah.

With unconditional love,
James Oh

WATCH OUT

Greetings from Malaysia,

Beware of the dangerous and harmful Crab mentality. This mentality is best described by the phrase "if I can't have it, neither can you".

This metaphor refers to a bucket of live crabs, some of which could escape easily but other crabs would pull them back down to prevent them from getting out to ensure the group's collective demise. How sickening and devastating to have this type of mindset in society?

This is similiar to human behaviour when members in that group will attempt to reduce the self-confidence of other member who is trying to achieve more success than the others, but out of envy, spite, conspiracy, or competitive feelings, they try to halt their progress.

In lift you up, we are doing the opposite. We adopt the attitude if you will give you a lift in any situation, then we would do the utmost to make sure that you are on the right path to success. If you falter we would be nearby to motivate and encourage you to move on. We would definitely not act like the crabs!!!

Stay alert and keep a distance from these crabs lest they influence you to be one of them.

Hope you have learnt something cool today. Stay tuned for more to come,

Let your mind blossoms to a beautiful garden full of lovely flowers instead of weeds.

Choice is yours and choose wisely for your own benefits.

With unconditional love,

Press for perfection by keeping improvement

Press for perfection by keeping improvement
Hi folks,
In my preceding post, you may have heard that I had engaged the electrician to clean and service my crystal light at the main living room. Now, I even upgrade its bulbs to LED types with much more cooling and brighter. See it yourself.

I also managed to install Solar auto gate lamps at my main entrance, making it looks better now. Now, it also functions as it should be by making its surrounding look brighter at night especially with LED bulbs of 18 watts that shine reasonably bright.

James Oh’s corner has been further improved by making my three printed books stand out instead of slotting at the rack of the display console.

The collected painting for my book cover; Cancer: fear or inspiration has been hanged at my sleeping room to remind me to finish the yet accomplishing task day and night. So, making it my ninth book.

Of course, I am going to get it properly launch together with my sponsors who may keen to treat this as their corporate social responsibility activities.

With these activities and recently secured contracts from several other tied up, my next year calendar started to fill in with more solid activities.

Thanks for your support and stay tuned for more update,

BUSINESS IS FAST CHANGING

Business is fast changing
Greetings from Petaling Jaya

With the advancement in technology shopping and other e-businesses are made easy at the click of your fingertips. They have undergone revolutionary changes where physical stores are no longer required. All the customers need are a smart gadget and wifi. They can take their time to browse the websites at their convenience. They do not have to leave the house. Wow, its really shopping made easy!!!.

To cope with this trend, a new and bold strategy has to adopted lest you will be left in the doldrums.

The brands that will thrive in the future will be those that can captivate and lure the customers' attention. They have to be delivered at the promised time and as specified in the order form. Returns are permitted if the customers are not satisfied with the purchases.

Gone are the days. The creative liberties, transparency in brand marketing is virtually paramount. Consumers expect demand- honesty in all marketing efforts and believe in brands that 'tell it like it is'. To keep up with consumers' demands, businesses have to adhere to them if they want to succeed.

The websites must be user-friendly and any queries raised must be dealt with immediately.

The millennial and Gen Y are brand conscious and seek to buy luxurious items to keep up with their peers. They would buy these items on credit not realising that these credit card companies charged them a hefty interest. As a result, many are in debts. They have different mindsets from the previous generations who would rather invest in properties, shares and etc and would prefer to reap the profits or pleasure later.
Technology is now replacing jobs rather than making people more efficient. It is expected to put 47% people out of jobs over the next 15 years. These group of employees needs to find other jobs that cannot be replaced by technology.

Therefore it is essential to always upgrade our skills to keep up with this ever-changing world.

Please leave your feedback,

Love to hear from you.

LETTING GO AND MOVING ON

Letting Go n Moving on

Hi folks
Thank you, Lord for giving me the strength to complete the rewriting and editing the above book in between struggling to accept my big C... status as well as to undergo treatments for it. At times I really want to give up but God's mercies pushed me to ignore my sufferings and to move forward. Hence I am so happy it is ready that the first draft is ready for review.

Please let me know if anyone is keen to give an independent review in exchange for a complimentary copy of this book. Please drop me an email at jamesohoh2003@yahoo.co.uk. Your feedback is invaluable to me as I hope it can help increase my sales. I hope to be financially independent as well as to inspire others to be likewise. Do not let any handicap deter us. To motivate them to think that 'Saya boleh' that is if you think you can, you can. If you think you cant then you definitely cant. Henry Ford.

Change your mindset and always think positively. Let it be one of your to-do list for 2018. If you condition your brain to think that you can do it then you definitely can. May the new year strengthen you both physically and mentally.

Letting go and Moving on is based on a tragic event that happened to me two decades with resulted in the loss of my son. It then drowned me with a deep depression and only with God's help, I managed to let go and move on. Now I am a much happier person with big dreams. To know more please get a copy when it is launched. Will keep you all updated. Thank you for your support. Part of the proceeds will be donated to help the C.. community.

Thank and Merry Christmas & a happy new year,
With unconditional love,
James Oh

MY 5TH CHEMO WENT SMOOTHLY

My fifth chemo went smoothly
Hi folks
After my 4th chemotherapy, I suffered side effects. My kidney was affected and my platelets level dropped resulting in bleeding when I passed the motion.
Subsequently, my surgeon prescribed some supplements to increase my platelets level while my oncologist gave me the steroid to improve my kidney. As a result, my condition improved and I could undergo my fifth chemo. It went smoothly. As a result of the continuous chemotherapy, I now suffered rashes on my limbs as well as my skin has become dry and itchy.
This has prompted me to cut down my intake of Xeloda drug. Hope I am doing the right thing.

No wonder my oncologist always examine my palm to ascertain the effect of the drug. My skin gets drier and itchier. At times, I have difficulty to scan my thumbprint as the machine cannot detect my fingerprint.

It demonstrates that the side effects of chemo are cumulative and becomes more intense as complete more and more treatments.
Please pray for me that the side effects were be minimised and my other organs will not be affected. Thank you very much.

I am still practicing my Baqua Qigong, Detoxication treatments, Chinese medicine and spiritual reading regularly. Hopefully, these practices will help to eliminate or at least reduce the side effects. However, I strongly believe they will truly help to strengthen me.

One thing that I noted was that the steroid I consumed for the first two days has always kept me awake and energetic. This is definitely not helping me to have a good rest and sufficient sleep. Both are essential for me to help strengthen my liver which needs to work extra hard to get rid of the toxic accumulated from the drugs I am consuming.

On a positive note, I will be completing 50% of my chemo treatments by the end of 2017. I will have another 6 more treatments to be completed by end of March 2018. This is timely as I have exhausted 2/3 of my insurance coverage for this year.
In 2018 I will have a new limit as my insurance have an annual threshold and it will be sufficient to cover the remaining treatments. Praise the Lord.

Please review your policy to ascertain whether it is adequate to cover your estimated needs. Make it a regular practice to review your policy to mitigate your risk exposure.

Stay tuned for my updates and I hope you have learnt something beneficial.

Cheers and look forward to hearing from you,
Unconditional love,
James Oh

UNIQUE SELF-INTRODUCTION

Unique Self-introduction
Hi folks,
I am a father of 4 loving kids. God loved my second son so much that he took him away two decades ago before he even has the opportunity to breathe the air in this world.

This not only caused me to go into depression but also motivated and inspired me to pen Letting go and Moving on. At that time I felt that the whole world was against me. I felt worthless and useless as I could not obtain justice for my son though I vowed to him before he was laid to rest.

Fortunately, I managed to get to know Jesus Christ and with his mercy and guidance, I managed to bounce back.

Since I have surrendered my burdens to God. I now can live my life with joy and also share my life's experience publicly.
This further affirms that there is no rainbow without a storm. The storm is just a bend, not the end.

Cheers and hope you have learnt something cool,
