Proper financial planning

Greetings from Malaysia,

Thinking back I am very fortunate to have an adequate financial planning to cater for any contingencies.

At least I now have peace of mind to undergo my chemotherapy treatment as I had the foresight to purchase an insurance policy. This has helped greatly to reduce my financial liabilities. I am indeed greatly blessed by the Lord who has given me the foresight to possess good financial management skills. This is the most crucial time in my life as two of my children are in need of funds to pursue and complete their tertiary education. When they heard the shocking news that I had the big C.....they were worried and apprehensive.

I can’t blame them as I would not be able to conduct my training at all as I would be undergoing treatment. Then I will not be receiving any income as it is dependent on the training programmes that I am conducting. I brushed aside their worries and told them not to be afraid as my investment will see them through. Can you imagine how relieved they were to receive this comforting news? Yes, my dear children do not worry.

Your dad will make sure you fulfill your dreams.

Now they realised how important is financial planning. Life is full of uncertainties and we have to make sure that they are well covered so that life can carry on, as usual, should any unforeseen circumstances cropped up. I hope my dear friends and relatives that you have already enrolled in any policy that you deem sufficient to ensure you have adequate funds to protect you in case of any unforeseen circumstances. Therefore the first rule to remember is to spend what remains after your savings. Secondly to invest what you have saved to counteract the effects of inflation.

I hope that you will take note of what I have shared and to ensure you have adequate cover for any unpredictable events.

Thank you, Lord, for guiding and sustaining me throughout my journey. At least I have peace of mind to treat my illness as well as to able to take concrete action to ensure my dreams and missions are accomplished.

In view of the greater challenges ahead I need to develop and grow my existing business to cater for all my expected and unexpected needs.

I hope I can inspire those patients who are in the same boat as me to stay financially independent and not be heavily reliant on family members and relatives. To me, this is the biggest worry apart from the emotional aspect. Financial and wealth creation are my specialties.

Here I like to forewarn everyone not to indulge in gambling or get rich schemes as you may end up losing all your hard earned money.

Always remember habits die hard. Nurture the best practices and you never regret its results. Stay in control of your emotion and mind and everything will be fine once you acquire the appropriate know-how and thinking skills. All these have been my guidelines since I started my professional career. Thank you, Lord, for your mercies and for seeing that my family is well taken care of financially.
