YOUR COMPLETE GUIDE TO MAKING THE ROAD SAFER FOR ALL MOTORISTS

Your Complete Guide to Making the Road Safer for All Motorists

Every day a person can hear sirens wailing in the distance or see an ambulance careening down the highway in route to an accident. How many of those accidents could be avoided and injuries or even deaths could be prevented if each driver was as attentive to their driving on the road as they would be walking down the street?

Don't Program Your GPS!

Whether a driver is young or old makes no difference in the fact that distraction can kill. Having two eyes on the road, two ears actively listening to sounds and two hands engaged in controlling a metal object weighing hundreds of pounds can increase the ability of a driver to arrive safely at their destination. Many times when we drive out of town and don't know where we are going, we simply think it's fine to glance at our GPS to program it to tell us where to go. It won't take but a second or two, right?

But if we slam into the car in front of us or miss that sharp turn we don't know is upcoming because we are driving in unfamiliar territory and not paying attention, it won't matter what the GPS says as we may never get there. If you were similarly walking in a mall, you wouldn't look at your GPS and never look up to see if you were going to walk into a nearby post or another shopper. You'd stop what you were doing, stand still in front of a directory and figure out where you were and where you wanted to go. Drive like you walk. Carefully and paying attention to what is in front of you or where you want to go.

Turn Signals

Cars today have many outstanding new and improved features which allow ease and comfort of driving. One very simple feature, which allows safety, has not changed much over the years however, except for the fact it seems to be used less and less. Turn signals are such a simple, tried and true feature that are courteous and safe way to allow everyone around us to know our intentions. One tiny little flick can be the difference between life and death. Larry Hosler, an Op Ed writer for the "Bakersfield Californian" sums it up well: "I was saddened recently to read about the young man killed on a motorcycle while passing a SUV starting to make a left-hand turn ("Motorcycle crash kills man," March 11). My very first thought: Did the driver of the SUV use a turn signal before starting the turn?" Many times the answer is no. We cannot tell each other what we intend when huddled inside of our cars. And when we make a sudden turn and crash into someone, we can't simply say "oh sorry" like if we bumped into them walking down the street. When the person is killed by our negligence, "sorry" will hold no water. If we are dead along with them in the wreck we caused, then we won't even be able to say that.

Don't Eat While Driving

Everyone has done it. Grab a cheeseburger from the drive through at your favorite fast food restaurant since you are running late and then stuff it down your throat all while driving 65 mph down the freeway. No harm, no foul, right? If you spill a little mustard on your shirt, it will be okay. But what if what gets spilled is more than mustard? What if the burger falls apart mid-bite and you are scrambling to not let it fall on yourself, you look down from the road to try to save the meal, suddenly your hand is off the wheel holding the food, now your eyes are off the road because of it as well and BAM. You just caused an accident. Now imagine that in that accident you killed a child's favorite pet dog who darted into the street and you didn't see it. Or you hit a child on a bike since your car veered suddenly to the side and now that child is in a wheelchair for life? Dramatic, possibly, but absolutely realities that can occur anytime you are not 100% vested in driving that car with all your senses and faculties intact.

Just pull over into the parking lot of the fast food drive through for an extra couple of minutes to wolf down that food and then be on your way. You may never know of the life you saved by doing this, but at least you won't have to live with the memory of the one you took if you don't. Overall, the best advice is always to err on the side of caution when driving. Handling a car is something we all do so often that it is easy to forget how much responsibilities lies in our hands until many times it is just too late.

SPEECH EVALUATION ON CC #4 - HOW TO SAY IT

Speech evaluation on CC # 4

Smile at the speaker. TM Priscilla, Congratulations.

You have achieved your speech objective. You have communicate your ideas clearly, accurately and vividly by applying the golden rule of Keep It Simple and Short
(Sweet) throughout your entire speech. You used lots of descriptive words that created mental image and there is no jargon being used. Well done. TM
Priscilla.

I like your speech title, "The Quest For One". You  not only raised my curiousity to find what is the One you are talking about, but also keep me in

suspense before you told me the question that you hated to answer- "What are you going to study?" I can't imagine that how it can bother you so much until

you told me that you even ran to hide in a corner. That really fascinated me to visualise your feeling at that particular situation.

To make it more impactful, perhaps you may throw us question such as "How many of you have questions that you hate to answer?" I believe everyone has, right?

Follow by telling us that you too feel the same way in your speech.

I also noticed that you have good story telling skills where you are able to describe very well your emotion at that particular situation and time. Well done and give her another round of applause.

Perhaps , another point which you may add to your speech is about your facial expression when you hear the hated question  of what are you going to study? by raising your tone. These will generate much greater gravity in term of magnitude.

Your eye contacts are good, though not balance. You had been more inclined to build eye contacts with the audiences at your left hand side. To complete and have a wider coverage, perhaps you should make full use of your stage and build eye contacts with your audience at right hand side especially when you raised those questions in your speech.

One last and important point is that you have good voice projection, loud and clear and I believe you should capitalise on your gift.

Well done, TM Priscilla and I look forward to your next speech.  Give HER another round of well deserved applause.

AMAZING CIRCULAR PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE

Amazing Circular Pedestrian Bridge In Lujiazui, China

Sometime last year, a new pedestrian bridge was unveiled in Lujiazui in the Pudong district of Shanghai. This large scale circular pedestrian overpass enables pedestrians to avoid traffic at the round-about terminus of Lujiazui Rd. The bridge provides access to the Oriental Pearl Tower connecting financiers to leisure areas such as shopping malls and cafes, a transit station and office buildings. The bridge sits almost 20 feet above the street, with numerous escalator stairway entrances and exits. The very contemporary design and long spans between columns provides a pleasant street level experience. Visitors enjoy the walkway for its privileged views of the city as well as its introduction of clean and easy foot transportation. At night the structure is illuminated to great dramatic effect.

The walkaway is 5.5 meter high and can fit 15 people walking side by side. Since it’s opening, it has become quite a tourist attraction.

YOU NEED TO GROW YOUR WEALTH EXPONENTIALLY

Ladies & Gentlemen.

How many of you seriously desire to grow your wealth exponentially? Please raise your hand. Fantastic, everyone does.
How many of you think that you can achieve what is in your desire? Excellent, everyone does again.

Big congratulation to you.

If there is anyone out here who still doubts of the possibility of you can create your wealth exponentially; who still wonders if your dream of being wealthier will not materialise in the near future; who still questions of your abilities to create wealth, tonight is your answer.

I like to share with 3 reasons why you need to grow your wealth exponentially and you can do it.

REASON #1 We are living in a world WITH full of uncertainty.

Corporate, both huge and small collapsing one after the other. Financial scandals are happening at their new records height and it is no longer shameful any more. Country goes bankrupt one after the other is become norm.

You can't leave it to chances. You need to take control of your destiny. You have everything to grow your wealth exponentially regardless of your current status, background and financial status.

You do it for yourself and the people you love. Growing your wealth exponentially is the way to have better security.

Luckily, I have been growing my wealth since I was 14. Now, I have been reaping my other sources of leveraged income ranging from interest, dividend, rental, and investment incomes.

Despite some challenges, My wife and I determined to give our children the kind of education they could only dream of. Applause.

REASON #2 Globally High inflation regime

With the current high inflation regime, the inflation will eat into your wealth if you don't grow it with higher than the real inflation rate.

You need to safely and steadily building up money so as to give you financial security in retirement. Or you will have enough money to pay for holidays..and any unexpected health scares as you get older. In short, you will be able to enjoy your golden years without any financial worries.

Now you are ready for the third Reason.

REASON #3 Money is not evil.

Money is not evil. It is greed of money that is evil. To me, money is the energy of exchange or transfer of value. It is neither good nor bad, it just is. You build wealth by building some type of value within you, and then extending this value outside of you. For example, I am an Accountant, and thereby build that type of value within you. Then I extend my services to others in exchange for cash money.

Once you have more Money, you will have More Freedom and More Time to spend with your love ones. By then, you are able to live your life that you choose and not playing by someone else's rule.

You are designed to get the best for yourself. Don't think that it is impossible. Rephrase it as I'm possible. You really can!!

The wealthier you are, the greater magnitude of people you can help. Then give your money and time in support of those good cause, like donating to charity organisations.

The primary beneficiary of such noble actions is always the one who gives, not the one who receives. ~ Napoleon Hill.

You can do it because it is not difficult.

You don't need to be a sky rocket Scientist. But, a simple mathematics and common sense are needed to do well financially.

Wealth is within your grasp. Everyone has the capacity of achieving because it is inside you. For an instance, you may turn your life story into Money-Making Speaking Career.

What you need to do is constantly applying Knowing- Doing Gap strategies. I have been applying it to stay above poverty and to turnaround a company during my professional career when the company I worked with was badly hit by the Asian Financial Crisis in 1996.

In life you can only have two things - Reasons or Results – and Reasons don’t count!

You either have what you want, or you have ‘reasons’ why you don’t have it.

By now, I strongly believe you all will work for your result.

But ...... before I explain to you the main detail of these images,
I shall let you appreciate them quietly.

Alright ......... now that you've had time to quietly observe the images .......
* in the first photograph, you might have noticed that the lady has one finger
EXTRA on her left hand,

* in the second photograph, a phantom arm is floating behind,

* and in the third photograph, the man has only one ear.

The campaign attained its INTENDED purpose.

It proved that food debris on your teeth draws more attention than any physical defect does.
