COMMENT
Thank you for allowing me to give some of my humble thoughts here. Firstly, I write to say that good or bad advice is very subjective and vary from individual.
It is just a relative concept and does not carry much weight to me. Worst still, you may say it is good but someone else may say it is bad for the same advice. Most often than not, cause much confusion because each word does not have universal definition for it. Another word, it lack of mathemathic precision. Now, you can where the problem start.
However, the world is changing so rapidly and so do everything include advice, subject to changes over time. Similarly, our mindset and perception always evolve over time. Therefore, it is also very natural for us to come to different conclusion from the same issue at different time. Some may see it as the person un-decisive. However, some may view it differently.
Nothing is absolute good or bad except God and God's word. Everything come with the package of good and bad. It depends on how you look at it. Another word, it is very much depend on the perspective you look at thing.
One thing, we must realize that our brain is more powerful than computer. As a result, we can always come up with thousand reasons to support our view, no matter where we stand. It is interesting to know that we can all things if we believe in them.
Even if you don't, you can assume it by keep on telling yourself. Then, you subconscious mind will accept it and make it happens.
Now, you can see it is a very thin line to between the two statements whether I say what I know, or I say what I don't know. Both statements can be true at the same time. It is very much depend on how you look at it.
I think I better stop here. You just give what I said earlier a serious thought and let me know your view. Hope I am not confuse you, but it is so, please accept my apology. Thank you and look forward to hearing from you.
I may blog what I have said earlier and invite my visitors to give their thoughts as well.
Therefore, it makes life interesting and challenging so long as we acknowledge the fact that we may started with wrong premises that caused the complication of these issues.
Your thoughts/views is greatly welcome so as to make this issue more lively. Thanks.
James

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for honoring me with your presence at my blog and posting the article link here.
First I must say I LOVE ABBA and as soon as it played, my children and I started singing and laughing (I was singing they were laughing)...haha.
Secondly, you did not confuse me at all. I completely agree with your sentiments that over time our answers can change. I believe that fully. I do believe they only thing that is definite and does not change is God and His word. It never becomes outdated as much as some would like to think.
Actually I couldn't find anything with your comment I disagreed with. I know that my answers to different things change over time as my experience changes. This can be true of everything. I find that many choices and morals and principles I had ten years ago either no longer exist, have changed, or more have been added that contradict those.
Looking at it objectively, I can understand that the piece of advice to "write what you know" can be applied in many instances (NON-Fiction is one!). So I know my point only holds true in the context I was thinking. Thank you for pointing that out! But it is a great point to debate right? haha
I hope that my fellow bloggers that may feel differently about my opinions feel free to express themselves and relay their thoughts and opinions openly without fearing they will be disrespected.
So with that being said, feel free to stop by anytime with a comment!
It is my pleasure to seeing you here. I am deeply delighted that you and your children have a lovely moment together with ABBA music. This music is great forever.

ReplyDeleteLady Glamis,
ReplyDeleteYou have an excellent point that our own perception determines the outlook of the thing itself. In this instance, it is safe to conclude that having a positive altitude is the difference maker. Thank you very much for your great thoughts.
