USEFUL TIPS TO BEAT A BAD MOOD

Dear our valued visitors,

Moods are emotions that tend to become fixed, influencing one's outlook for hours, days or even weeks. That is great if you have a pleasant moods, but a big problem if you have the unpleasant ones.

Here are a few useful tips you may opt to try:-

1) Think Positive

If you think positive, the chances that you feel happy are very high. For instant, try to take an interest in someone else. It may not only delight that person, but you may lift yourself out of your own self-defeating mood.

2) Exercise

Exercise may help you to cure for a bad mood. It may divert your attention from it.

3) Listen to Music

Music will provide peace and tranquility

4) Talk to Someone

By engaging in conversation with someone you like or you care for, may also change your mood especially you can voice out your feeling.

5) Read Scripture

Sometime, reading scripture may also make your bad mood subside, especially when there is no one to talk to.

6) Use Color

"Colors can be nutrients for the mind just as vitamins are for the body," New York color psychologist Patricia Szczerba, who suggests some ways to lift your spirits:

To defuse irritability and anger, it may help to stay away from red.

To counteract depression, avoid wearing or surrounding yourself with colors that make you feel down - Black or Dark Blue, for instance. Go for warm, bright, active colors that lighten your mood.

To help alleviate anxiety and tension, choose neutral colors that have soothing, calming effect. Soft shades of Blue, for example, are often used in hospitals to calm patients.

Please add on to the above list through comments,  if you have other way which could of be of assistance in this aspect. Look forward to hearing from you so that together we can help prevent people from entering into such unhealthy situation.

Be Happy,

Thank you in advance,

james

  1. It depends, though, if it's just a bad mood or actually a mental illness.

If its a mood your comments are great.

If its a mental illness you need healing and possibly medication. I have to take medication. When I do I am positive. When I don't I am a horror.

    God Bless

  5. When I was in a bad mood and if I could still stay clear-minded, then I will try to:
    Forgive and forget.
    Read books of old wisdom.

But many times, I fell into the deep well of sadness when I was in bad mood.
    Think positive!

  7. Amber,
after my second thought of your point, i am strongly believe that it is alright to try out these approaches while on medication. It is because these approaches may speed up the recovery process. Bear in mind that these approaches do not have any side effect. God bless,
