BOOK REVIEW ON HARRISON GOES CAMPING
This children book is a very thoughtful book -
simple, easily understandable from daily life stories, yet associated with
powerful and valuable messages. This book is great in the sense that it will soothe
and touch the readers' hearts and souls.
Her gift of writing talents together with her
well crafted skills cleverly and creatively combined, allowed her to convey God’s message in a much
more powerful and impactful way. Her
messages used the simple line daily stories such as camping so freely,
naturally and effectively. Her story is full of expressions and emotion through
simple daily conversation yet it did not stop her to spread across good moral
values and love. Amazingly well done, I must say. Through this simple story of
hers, the readers enjoy a care free reading like a pleasant breeze blowing
towards the reader. In fact, it is a light reading book clearly and well illustrated
by respective drawings to enhance the readers’ understanding and appealing interest
especially for those children who do not like reading. Smartly inserted are the
respective relevant verses of the Scripture at the bottom of the page is also
worthy of praise. Hence, her skillful and thoughtful craft of her writing coupled
with lovely pictures will make her book shines, appealing and attractive
amongst children. This will further raise their curiosity, thirst and desire to
find much more in a fun manner.
Many of us have our own gifts and never use
them to teach our younger generation by sharing our knowledge and stories.
Becky Howard is definitely not that person. She believes in simplicity and was focus
through her writing. If the reviews she’s received thus-far are any indication,
the world needed it. She uses her talents to reach and teach others.
I received a review copy of the book for the purpose of writing a fair and honest review and no other compensation.
Harrison – Goes Camping though is a children book which provides us with more than one dimension. This is because it can help us view things not only in the physical sense, but also its related God wisdom as the author has prescribed through her daily conversation with her loved ones. It serves wide and diverse needs especially for those who want their children to be exposed and learn the highest, positive and broader perspective on life from a young age.
This book makes the children gain more exposure in Christian values. It may give them a good, solid and sound understanding of the great works of the Mighty Loving God.
What I enjoyed most about this book is its fascinating way of conveying Christian values through our daily conversation in the family. It reflects the beauty of spreading the little seed in children hearts. That’s what makes this book truly worth reading.
As you read through the book, you’ll be able to visualise the exciting camping event and surroundings the author has to go through. This book is not meant to persuade or dissuade you – it’s meant to inform, ingrain and teach the readers in gaining the appropriate perspectives in our daily life.
This book is highly recommended for reading; it is also suitable as a gift to children or to be used as children home study subject.
The Title of the book is Simple and Precise and to the point.
Harrison – Goes Camping is definitely a noble
goal, because it teach children of the value of Christianity and prospers you
to see things from their positive and appropriate perspective, from God’s
perspective through our daily Life. You may grab its wisdom from each and every
event happens through the camping journey. I must say that the reward of its
wisdom is far more than your time, energy and money spent. Marvelous! In short,
you will be empowered by its wisdom with this simple yet powerful event. Early
exposure through consistent and persistent application by living it in your
life is the surest way to ensure that you shine through your life. The author, Becky
Howard, can certainly attest of this truth.
This book is also ideal for anyone who had been living life without much meaning and is looking for inspiration to go off on his own, and dislike heavy reading.
Last, but not least, this book would make a lovely and meaningful Christmas present.
All I can say is thank you!

GUEST AUTHOR INTERVIEW WITH STACY CLAFLIN
About the Author
When did you begin to write?
I filled many journals with stories between the time that I was nine and about twenty. Then I stopped writing for a long time until last April I rediscovered my dream to publish novels.
Yes, there will be a total of five books in this series. In May, I'm also releasing a shorter novel that has nothing to do with the series. I plan to write a lot of books!
They are fun, mysterious and also deal with issues from real life. In my first book, the issue of bullying was addressed. The issue of adoption runs through the series because the main character was adopted. I hope to inspire people as well as entertain.
One way is by using my personal development blog.
Where can we find you on the internet?
Stacy has published Deception and Betrayal, which are the first two books of The Transformed series. She is currently working on the third book in the series and a short standalone novel, both of which will be available in 2013.
She is an author, blogger, home educating mom and runs a home preschool. She loves the paranormal genre.

Now the interview with the Author of the Book,
When did you begin to write?
I first started writing stories when I was about nine years old. I began writing to publish last April and published my first novel, Deception in November. (Deception is available for free on Kindle this week, you can grab it here:

When did you first discover that you were a writer?
When I wrote my first story in school. I loved it and started writing stories for fun on a regular basis.
How much did you write before you were published?
I filled many journals with stories between the time that I was nine and about twenty. Then I stopped writing for a long time until last April I rediscovered my dream to publish novels.
What is your favorite part of writing?
I love creating the stories and watching them come to life. Once I get the basic details figured out and start writing, the story just takes off. What's the most fun is when I'm writing and something happens that surprises even me. Sometimes I have to alter my plans for the story, but it's almost always for the better!
Tell us about your latest release.
Betrayal is the second book in The Transformed series. Deception is the first book, the one that I mentioned above which is free on Amazon this week.
The series is the story of Alexis Ferguson, who begins to notice that there is something different about her. At first she thinks it's as simple as being adopted, but what she discovers turns her world completely upside down.
She must face a new reality that she thought only existed in horror stories and nightmares. She has to face a destiny that was planned long before her birth, in a place that she didn't even know existed, which could cost her her life.
Wow! This book sounds really good. Are you planning on writing more in the years to come?Yes, there will be a total of five books in this series. In May, I'm also releasing a shorter novel that has nothing to do with the series. I plan to write a lot of books!
So far what is your worst criticism/attacks, and how have you overcome it?
I haven't run into any of that yet, but most authors do, so I'm sure that it's only a matter of time.
What is the accomplishment that you are most proud of?
I'm excited about publishing three books in six months, when I publish my third book in May. So far I've published two books in three months. It's very exciting!
What does your writing process look like?
1. Think up the main idea of the story.
2. Create the characters, world, and plot around the idea.
3. Write the first draft and fill in all the details.
4. Edit: fill in the gaps, fix errors, rewrite where needed.
5. Read on my kindle to get a different reading experience.
6. Beta readers give opinions and edits.
7. Two to three edits with re-writes.
8. Run through grammar check.
9. Read through.
10. Publish.
How did you get published?
I chose to self publish through Amazon and Barnes and Noble because the process is so much more quick than with the big publishing companies.
How do you come up with title of your books?
I usually write most of the book and the look at the themes and choose one and pick a name based on that.
Can you enlighten us a little more about your books?
They are fun, mysterious and also deal with issues from real life. In my first book, the issue of bullying was addressed. The issue of adoption runs through the series because the main character was adopted. I hope to inspire people as well as entertain.
Tell us your guiding principle that governs your life?
I believe in helping and inspiring others.
How have you cultivated these values?
One way is by using my personal development blog.
Do you have any advice for writers looking to get published?
Learn from others who have been through the process. That's the BEST way to learn how to be successful. That's what I've done, and I've been able to achieve far more than I had originally hoped!

CHIKOO - THE HEALTHY FRUIT
CHIKOO - THE HEALTHY FRUIT
I am deeply delighted to find chiku, also called Sapote in English, which I have not seen for quite some time, in the night market recently. Without much hesitation, I bought some for my family's members. I love to eat this amazing fruit since I was a kid when I resided in Penang. I believe whoever has tried it will tell you how delicious this brown roundish fruits are. You take a bite and you will realize that the nature always have a surprise up its sleeve.
Happy day to everyone,
Recently, I read that the plant is growing splendidly in tropical humid climates in general but it is a native to Mexico and South America. The chiku was introduced and brought back to the Philippine from Mexico by the Spanish conquests. Nowadays, the fruit is cultivated in big amount in India. Furthermore, the trees milky juice is used to extract “chikle” substance which is of use in the production of chewing gums. Mexico and South America concentrate their cultivation towards the chikle production.
The tree itself is a ever green tree, slowly growing and produces flowers throughout the year and also the fruitstoo. The fruit ripens only if plucked and should be stored in room temperature to ripen, and can be kept once ripe for 1 week at least in the fridge without problem. You may keep them in the rice bucket so as to accelerate the fruit to ripen faster. Bats love to eat them; I tried to grow it in my backyard, but in vain.
There are different types of chiku; of the slight and slim chiku and the round ones. I personally enjoy the round ones more for they seem to have a more intense taste of the fruit.
I guess people falls in love with this fruit is because it has a mellow caramel after taste which is best described as caramelized pears since the texture comes quiet close to a pear. Grainy bits, juicy and a fruity aroma. It is also called “potato fruit” for its resemblance and plain brownish appearance. It’s definitely not the prettiest fruit but one of my favourites apart from durian, the king of the fruit.
The Fruits nutritional benefits include high amounts of good sugars – Energy, rich in vitamins, minerals and health heroes’ anti-oxidants.
Tell us about other options of using the fruit.
Look forward to hearing from you,
