Embracing Imperfection

Happy day to my dearest friends,

In this post, I am so excited to share with you a story by a girl :-

A story by a girl.

"When I was a little girl, my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then. And I remember one night in particular when she had made breakfast after a long, hard day at work. On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage, and extremely burned toast in front of my dad. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed! Yet all my dad did was reach for his toast, smile at my mom, and ask me how my day was at school. I don't remember what I told him that night, but I do remember watching him smear butter and jelly on that toast and eat every bite!

When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom apologize to my dad For burning the toast. And 'll never forget what he said: 'Baby, I love burned toast.'

Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if He really liked his toast burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said, 'Debbie, your Momma put in a hard day at work today and she's real tired.
And besides-a little burnt toast never hurt anyone!' You know, life is full of imperfect things.....and imperfect people. I'm not the best housekeeper or cook.'

What I've learned over the years is that learning to accept each other's faults - and choosing to celebrate each other's differences - is one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.

"Don't put the key to your happiness in someone else's pocket but into your own."

Hope you have learned a good lesson.

HEALTHY EATING

Very happy day to everyone of you,

I am so excited to share the mail below, which I received from from one of my younger brothers and I believe it is very useful to you.

Eating Fruit -

Dr Stephen Mak is a friend of mine at the BSF course. He told me he treats terminal ill cancer patients by "un-orthodox" way and many patients recovered. He explains to me before he is using solar energy to clear the illnesses of his patients.  He believes on natural healing in the body against illnesses. See the article below.

---
Dear Shereen,
Thanks for the email on fruits and juices. It is one of the strategies to heal cancer. As of late, my success rate in curing cancer is about 80%. Cancer patients shouldn't die. The cure for cancer is already found. It is whether you believe it or not? I am sorry for the hundreds of cancer patients who die under the conventional treatments.. Very few can live for 5 years under the convenctional treatments and most live for only about 2 to 3 years. The conventional treatments do not make any difference because most cancer patients also live for about 2 to 3 years without undergoing any treatment. It is difficult to cure those cancer patients  who have undergone chemo and radiotherapy as their cells are toxic and weak. When there is a relapse, the cancer will spread very fast as the resistance is poor.
Thanks and God bless.

EATING FRUIT...

It's long but very informative

We all think eating fruits means just buying fruits, cutting it and just popping it into our mouths. It's not as easy as you think. It's important to know how and when to eat.

What is the correct way of eating fruits?

IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUITS AFTER YOUR MEALS! * FRUITS SHOULD BE EATEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.

If you eat fruit like that, it will play a major role to detoxify your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities.

FRUIT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD. Let's say you eat two slices of bread and then a slice of fruit. The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it is prevented from doing so.

In the meantime the whole meal rots and ferments and turns to acid. The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil....

So please eat your fruits on an empty stomach or before your meals! You have heard people complaining — every time I eat watermelon I burp, when I eat durian my stomach bloats up, when I eat a banana I feel like running to the toilet, etc — actually all this will not arise if you eat the fruit on an empty stomach. The fruit mixes with the putrefying other food and produces gas and hence you will bloat!

Graying hair, balding, nervous outburst, and dark circles under the eyes all these will NOT happen if you take fruits on an empty stomach.

There is no such thing as some fruits, like orange and lemon are acidic, because all fruits become alkaline in our body, according to Dr. Herbert Shelton who did research on this matter. If you have mastered the correct way of eating fruits, you have the Secret of beauty, longevity, health, energy, happiness and normal weight.

When you need to drink fruit juice - drink only fresh fruit juice, NOT from the cans. Don't even drink juice that has been heated up. Don't eat cooked fruits because you don't get the nutrients at all. You only get to taste. Cooking destroys all the vitamins.

But eating a whole fruit is better than drinking the juice. If you should drink the juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful slowly, because you must let it mix with your saliva before swallowing it. You can go on a 3-day fruit fast to cleanse your body. Just eat fruits and drink fruit juice throughout the 3 days and you will be surprised when your friends tell you how radiant you look!

KIWI: Tiny but mighty. This is a good source of potassium, magnesium, vitamin E & fiber. Its vitamin C content is twice that of an orange.

APPLE: An apple a day keeps the doctor away? Although an apple has a low vitamin C content, it has antioxidants & flavonoids which enhances the activity of vitamin C thereby helping to lower the risks of colon cancer, heart attack & stroke..

STRAWBERRY: Protective Fruit. Strawberries have the highest total antioxidant power among major fruits & protect the body from cancer-causing, blood vessel-clogging free radicals.

ORANGE : Sweetest medicine. Taking 2-4 oranges a day may help keep colds away, lower cholesterol, prevent & dissolve kidney stones as well as lessens the risk of colon cancer.

WATERMELON: Coolest thirst quencher. Composed of 92% water, it is also packed with a giant dose of glutathione, which helps boost our immune system. They are also a key source of lycopene — the cancer fighting oxidant. Other nutrients found in watermelon are vitamin C & Potassium.

GUAVA & PAPAYA: Top awards for vitamin C. They are the clear winners for their high vitamin C content. Guava is also rich in fiber, which helps prevent constipation. Papaya is rich in carotene; this is good for your eyes.

Drinking Cold water after a meal = Cancer! Can u believe this?? For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

A serious note about heart attacks HEART ATTACK PROCEDURE': (THIS IS NOT A JOKE!) Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line. You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. Sixty percent of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know the better chance we could survive.

A cardiologist says if everyone who shares this message with 10 people, you can be sure that we'll save at least one life.

Read this....It could save your life!!

Please share it with other especially those who intend to pursue health and happiness.

THREE BASIC PROCESS OF WEALTH CREATION

To all of my dearest readers and visitors,

After hearing lots of misconception of wealth creation, I see there is an urgent need for me to put it right according to its true meaning and to disclose the methods of creating wealth.

It is also my intention to coach and assist people to build their wealth so as enable them to be financial independent so that they can take control of their lives. However, each person must be clear that he has to be accountable to himself and have to take appropriate steps to work towards that end. No one can help himself to achieve that end if he does not desire to do so.

All of us have to be mindful that we need to know how to fish, which is the only way, we can assure ourselves of having fishes for the rest of our life. No offence is intended to anyone and please read this article with an open mind.

WEALTH DEFINITION

To create wealth, it is vitally important to get its’ definition right. It is not equal to richness. Richness is a relative and subjective term which has no definite meaning. Wealth is also not equal to income. A huge income does not guarantee that it will generate wealth. It is very much dependent on the person consumption habitst. Wealth is the residual income after deducting all the expenses. As such, wealth is defined as the Net Worth that is the accumulation of your residual income over time. Therefore, to create constant and lasting wealth, you need to add value to all your financial resources. These financial resources are simply utilised to create added residual value over time.

Wealth Creation usually involves three simple processes, which are listed below for your reference and understanding.

1. CREATE WEALTH

Once you fully understand its’ true meaning, you are able to work toward creating wealth precisely and confidently. The key here is to create as much residual income as possible. Residual income is total income minus all expenses wholly incurred to generate that income. Here, you can see that it is not the quantum of the income, but what remains after expenses deduction that is important.

To create wealth, you have to control your consumption, at the same time increase your residual income. In reality, you always have a choice either to spend the residual income away to acquire a higher lifestyle; or be frugal and save more. Egos and financial peer pressure dictate how you spend or to use it to create more wealth to you. Many of us have wealth creation fantasies but few of us will see our fantasies materialise in our lives.

2. ACCUMULATE WEALTH

It is always important to note that not all assets are of equal value in promoting long-term wealth. The real key to creating wealth is very much dependent on how much is spent on acquisition of assets that really appreciate in value.

A person, who spends on things that depreciate in value, will decrease his wealth.  We must invest in assets that will actually increase in value, and thereby increase our personal net worth over time. Therefore, when more money is spent on Wealth-building Assets, the faster you will achieve a higher net-worth.

Here, perhaps you may be able to relate it with the implication of compound interests over time. Just imagine that you save a dollar every day with a fixed rate of interest, the annuity table will tell you how many years you will become a Millionaire. It is amazing, right.

3.  MONITOR AND GROW THE WEALTH

Once you have accumulated several wealth building assets, you need to comprehend its nature of trade and its risks profile so as to take full advantage of its potential.

Here, you need to monitor and review each type of wealth-building assets in term of its return, growth in value and potential value. You will note that some assets give you a much higher return as compared to the others. Higher return assets may however carry higher risk exposure.

To ensure that the wealth buildings assets give you the highest possible yields, you need the expertise of that trade so as to grasp the highest yield for your wealth-building assets at any time. Needless to say that you need the skills and know- how for you to create the highest possible wealth for yourself.
However, you must also realise that you need to purchase other type of assets out of necessity, for entertainment or other reasons.

Some examples of non-wealth building assets are:
-- TVs
- Furniture, unless those appreciate over time.
- iPods

However some of these assets may add value to you indirectly such as when it facilitates your work and generates more value than the amount you spend on them.

No doubts debts can kill. However, if you can use debts to generate income which exceeds the cost of borrowing and also generates cash inflow that is more than sufficient to settle its due installment, then, it makes sense for you to leverage on debts to generate more residual value for you.

I trust this article gives you an insight and understanding of the true meaning of wealth and the simple three process of creating, accumulating and managing its growth. With this clearly in your mind, you will be able to take  appropriate steps to build your wealth. This is a very basic and fundamental framework for everyone who intends to build wealth and it is vitally important to get this right in the first place.

Wishing you every success. Stay tuned and look forward to seeing you again.

Secrets to Stress-Free Life

When Kathleen Hall stepped off the elevator at her office on the 104th floor one Monday, she had it all: beauty, smarts, a successful career as a stockbroker on Wall Street, a supportive husband, and two healthy children. But despite her efforts to act composed, she was terrified. Nauseated and short of breath, her chest tight, she stopped to lean against a wall. She didn't move from that spot until a security guard took notice and asked if she was okay. She wasn't. Her life, until then so calculated, had come to a screeching halt.

Born to a violent, alcoholic father and a victimized mother, Hall, 55, had learned early what it took to survive. She worked hard as a teenager, baby-sitting, cutting hair in her garage, even detailing cars to scrape cash together. When married and pregnant with her first child, she began to put herself through college. Later she strove to achieve corporate success and make money -- something she knew brought power. But the years of late hours and high-stakes pressure (not to mention the weekly commute from her home base in Georgia) seemed to coalesce into a single realization: Winning the race wouldn't bring happiness. In fact, it could cost her life itself. She turned around, got back in the elevator, and booked a flight home.

Twenty years later, Hall is one of the nation's noted experts on stress management, sought after by clients, colleagues, and media in times of crisis. "I've seen stress cause people to totally shut down -- physically and emotionally. They lose focus and become disoriented, confused, and depressed," says Hall, whose work has included consoling Katrina survivors, counseling victims of domestic violence, and advising families in hospitals coping with cancer and AIDS. Stress comes in countless incarnations, from poor, homeless single mothers to wealthy, depressed CEOs. "It's our nation's greatest democratizer," she says, "and it's not going anywhere."

In her case, that moment of panic by the elevator turned out to be a catalyst for self-inquiry. She quit her job, retreated for six months to a remote cabin at her Clarksville, Georgia, home, and then spent the next seven years on an entirely different course, pursuing a master's in divinity at Emory University and then a doctorate in spirituality at Columbia University. She studied with an eclectic group of visionaries -- Thich Nhat Hanh and Bishop Desmond Tutu, Trappist monks and Sufi leaders -- and noticed that, despite their diverse backgrounds, they all seemed to advocate the same ground-up approach to life. "So many of us strive to move onward and upward, but I began to see that the path to joy starts with an entirely different approach: inward and downward. Seeds first move inward and downward to root -- and then toward the light, upward and forward." Reducing susceptibility to stress, she realized, was essentially a matter of nourishing the roots.

She adopted a powerful but surprisingly simple mantra -- SELF, an acronym for serenity, exercise, love, and food -- and started teaching it to others to great effect. These "four roots of real happiness" may seem almost too easy, but she insists they have a centering effect in even the worst of circumstances. "It's these basic, ordinary actions that ground you," she explains. "By attending to your roots each day, you learn to stay focused and intentional -- and stay true to your design." Making time for serenity, for instance, creates space in our lives for meditation and stress reduction; exercise benefits the spirit and mind as well as the body; love and friendship bring physiological and emotional rewards; and nourishing food, consciously consumed, feeds the senses in a deeply satisfying way. It's these simple things, she says -- a moment to connect with your breath, a walk in the park, a hug from a friend, a thoughtfully prepared meal -- that keep us balanced.
