Judge yourself accurately first before you can do so to others

You are the greatest enemy to yourself.

Therefore, the ability to evaluate yourself and your performance objectively is critical to your relationships with others and it eventually has an enormous impact upon the level of success you achieve during your lifetime.

You cannot lie to yourself. You must honestly evaluate your strengths and weaknesses accurately, well before you can develop an effective plan to get you where you would like to be.
If you were an independent, dispassionate observer, what advice would you give to yourself to improve your skills, your work habits, your interaction with others, and your contribution to the organization?

In short, honesty about yourself is the very first step toward self-improvement. It is wise to note that self advancement cannot be built on bluff, fear, or flattery.

So, seek the counsel of men who will tell you the truth about yourself, even if it hurts you to hear it, if you are seriously wanted to bring the improvement you need. As such, honestly is the best policy.

Oh! Lord grant us grace throughout this day,
To walk the straight and narrow way,
To do whatever in Thy sight,
Is good and perfect, just and right,
For whatsoever changes come,
Do is right in Your sight.
Thank you, Lord.
Whatsoever changes come is for good.

On the contrary, people who think or make any real pretense of thinking, resent all forms of flattery. It is a real insult to their own intelligence, if they are wise to see.

In short, Romans 2:1 says it all.

If you judge someone else, you have no exeuse for it.When you judge another person, you are judging yourself. You do the same thing you blame others for doing.

Be caution what Romans 2:6 says

God "will give to each person in keeping with what he has done." (Psalm 62:12, Proverbs 24:12)

Trust God will reveal this wisdom to you.

Ten Empowerments

Recently I read the book "How to make the rest of your life, the best of your life", by Mark Victor Hansen & Art Linkletter.

I learnt about the ten empowerments, which I find it very convincing and noble principle to keep the elderly people from worrying about their financial security and dependency.

If you embrace the ten empowerments, listed below, you will find that you can make more money after "retirement," be healthier and more active, and be independent.

#1 You can defy the stereotypes of old age.

#2 You can determine your longevity.

#3 You can make new friends and create rich new relationships.

#4 You can be financially secure as long as you have.

#5 You can more fit than you were at thirty.

#6 You can keep your mind agile and sharp.

#7 You can make a positive difference in the world.

#8 You can discover and nurture your creativity.

#9 You can look forward, not back.

#10 You can create a life filled with new experiences, inspiration, and great achievements.

In short, stay active and doing something you like and making use your skills, experiences, knowledge and wisdom and continuously serving the society you belong to and leave a legacy behind.

Trust the above is useful and benefical to you. Have a blessed day,

Drink more water leading you to good health

Increase intake of water, not excessively, can actually reduce fat deposits because it helps the body to flush away undesirable toxins and fatty globules from the blood stream. It serves as a major aid to maintaining good digestion and elimination.

Therefore, it is advisable that a person should drink at least eight glasses of water every day on average. More precisely, take your weight and divide it in half. That's show how many ounces of water you need each day.

Water is the second to none choice of drink especially when you get past age sixty, because dehydration is one of the most common causes of hospitalization among this group of people.

Act now to build a path to good health.

Wish you a great success.

Conviction is the key to success

No doubt commitment is the key to staying the course and completing the project. But conviction precedes commitment.

With conviction, you shall then develop your interest and finally you develop your passion because you don't consider as work, but hobby. Thereafter, you will not only enjoying your work because it gives you the satisfaction you wanted.

Conviction comes from knowledges, wisdoms and feeling that what you are doing is absolutely right. Naturally the person who is happy and enjoying in what he is doing and far more successful than people who do not have those conviction.

Every piece of your work shall then become masterpiece due to your passion and belief you have in it. Finally, you will reach the stage which you shall work wholeheartedly with your body, mind and soul.

Therefore, it is wisely to remember that one person with a conviction would be more than a hundred who only had interest. - Mary Crowley.

So buy the idea and develop those convictions now, and make that commitment. You shall be rest assured that success is yours.

By now, you should realise that conviction is the key to every success.

Wish you a great success,

James

FAMILY

I thought of publish the little story below for the benefits of everyone.

F A M I L Y

I ran into a stranger as he passed by,
'Oh excuse me please' was my reply.
He said, 'Please excuse me too;
I wasn't watching for you.'

We were very polite, this stranger and I.
We went on our way and we said goodbye.
But at home a different story is told,
How we treat our loved ones, young and old.

Later that day, cooking the evening meal, my son stood beside me very still.
When I turned, I nearly knocked him down.
'Move out of the way,' I said with a frown.
He walked away, his little heart broken.
I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.

While I lay awake in bed, God's still small voice came to me and said,
'While dealing with a stranger, common courtesy you use,
but the family you love, you seem to abuse.
Go and look on the kitchen floor, you'll find some flowers there by the door.
Those are the flowers he brought for you.
He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue.
He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise,
you never saw the tears that filled his little eyes.'

By this time, I felt very small,
And now my tears began to fall.
I quietly went and knelt by his bed; 'Wake up, little one, wake up,' I said.
'Are these the flowers you picked for me?'

He smiled, 'I found 'em, out by the tree.
I picked 'em because they're pretty like you.
I knew you'd like 'em, especially the blue.'

I said, 'Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted today; I shouldn't have yelled at you that way.'

He said, 'Oh, Mom, that's okay. I love you anyway.'

I said, 'Son, I love you too, and I do like the flowers, especially the blue.'

FAMILY

Are you aware that if we died tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family we left behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than into our own family, an unwise investment indeed, don't you think?

So what is behind the story? Do you know what the word FAMILY means?

<<< family =" (F)ATHER"> > > >

Trust you find it wonderful.

Have a joyful day,

HISTORY ISN'T BORING

Water

The next time you are washing your hands and complain because the water temperature. Then think LIFE IN THE 1500'STemperature isn't just how you like it, think about how things used to be.

Here are some facts about the 1500s:

These are interesting...Most people got married in June because they took their yearly bath in May and still smelled pretty good by June. However, they were starting to smell, so brides carried a bouquet of flowers to hide the body odor. That’s why the wedding custom today of carrying a bouquet.

Baths consisted of a big tub filled with hot water. The man of the house had the privilege of the nice clean water, then the women and finally the children. Last of all the babies. By then the water was so dirty you could actually lose someone in it. Hence the saying, "Don't throw the baby out with the bath water."

Houses had thatched roofs-thick straw-piled high, with no wood underneath. It was the only place for animals to get warm, so all the cats and other small animals (mice, bugs) lived in the roof. When it rained it became slippery and sometimes the animals would slip and offthe roof. Hence the saying "It's raining cats and dogs."

There was nothing to stop things from falling into the house. This posed a real problem in the bedroom where bugs and other droppings could mess up your nice clean bed. Hence, a bed with big posts and a sheet hung over the top afforded some protection. That's how canopy beds came into existence.

The floor was dirt. Only the wealthy had something other than dirt. Hence the saying "dirt poor." The wealthy had slate floors that would get slippery in the winter when wet, so they spread thresh (straw) on the floor to help keep their footing. As the winter wore on, they added more thresh until when you opened the door it would all start slipping outside. A piece of wood was placed in the entrance way. Hence the saying a "thresh hold." Getting quite an education, aren't you?

In those old days, they cooked in the kitchen with a big kettle that always hung over the fire. Every day they lit the fire and added things to the pot. They ate mostly vegetables and did not get much meat. They would eat the stew for dinner, leaving leftovers in the pot to get cold overnight and then start over the next day. Sometimes stew had food in it that had been there for quite a while. Hence the rhyme, "Peas porridge hot, pea's porridge cold, pea's porridge in the pot nine days old."

Sometimes they could obtain pork, which made them feel quite special. When visitors came over, they would hang up their bacon to show off. It was a sign of wealth that a man could "bring home the bacon." They would cut off a little to share with guests and would all sit around and "chew the fat."

Those with money had plates made of pewter. Food with high acid content caused some of the lead to leach onto the food, causing lead poisoning death. This happened most often with tomatoes, so for the next 400 years or so, tomatoes were considered poisonous.

Bread was divided according to status. Workers got the burnt bottom of the loaf, the family got the middle, and guests got the top, or "upper crust."

Lead cups were used to drink ale or whisky. The combination would sometimes knock the imbibers out for a couple of days.

Someone walking along the road would take them for dead and prepare them for burial. They were laid out on the kitchen table for a couple of days and the family would gather around and eat and drink and wait and see if they would wake up. Hence the custom of holding a "wake."

England is old and small and the local folks started running out of places to bury people. So they would dig up coffins and would take the bones to a "bone-house" and reuse the grave. When reopening these coffins, 1 out of 25 coffins were found to have scratch marks on the inside and they realized they had been burying people alive. So they would tie a string on the wrist of the corpse, lead it through the coffin and up through the ground and tie it to a bell. Someone would have to sit out in the graveyard all night (the "graveyard shift") to listen for the bell; thus, someone could be "saved by the bell" or was considered a "dead ringer." And that's the truth...

Now, whoever said that History was boring ! ! THINK AGAIN.

the Golden rule

History has proven that the best way to secure the commitment and unending cooperation of others is through the simple application of the Golden Rule. No civilization based upon the unjust treatment of its people has ever endured. This statement is going to true for ever.

It is worth to note that a tyrant who forces the cooperation of others will only last for a time, but that power is never sustained, also well proven in the history.

Only when people are well accorded the respect, they deserve do, they willingly create and maintain successful organizations and societies.

It is always to remember that when you build a company or an organization based on fairness and justice for every member, you have built a power that will long endure. It is well recognized as the most successful and long-lasting management theory ever developed. When you treat others as you would like to be treated were you in their situation, you will inspire loyalty and enthusiastic cooperation.

Set high standards for yourself and others, treat them well, let them do their jobs, and they will perform miracles for you.

Do as you preach, then you don’t have to worry about its result.

Dear God

Dear God...

I know you're watching over me,
And I'm feeling truly blest,
For no matter what I pray for,
You always know what's best!

I have this circle of blog friends,
Who mean a lot to me;
Some days I "publish" and "publish,"
At other times, I let them be.

I am so blessed to have these friends,
With whom I've grown so close;
So this little poem I dedicate to them,
Because to me they are the "Most"!

When I noticed they visit my blog,
And view the message I have published;
I know they've thought of me that day,
And "supports" were their intent.
So to you, my friends, I would like to say,

Thank you for being a part;
Of all my daily contacts,
This comes right from my heart. ;

God bless you all is my prayer today,
I'm honored to call you "friend";
I pray God will keep you safe,
Until I publish again.

God bless,

A story from a doctor

Today I have a story, from A Doctor, to share with you and trust you will be touched and lifted up at the end of the story.

It was a busy morning, approximately 8:30 am, when an elderly gentleman in his 80's, arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He stated that he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am.

I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would to able to see him. I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound.

On examine it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound.

While taking care of his wound, we began to engage in conversation I asked him if he had a doctor's appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry. The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife.

I then inquired as to her health. He told me that she had been there for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer Disease. As we talked, and I finished dressing his wound, I asked if she would be worried if he was a bit late. He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years ago.

I was surprised, and asked him. "And you still go every morning, even though she doesn't know who you are?" He smiled as he patted my hand and said. "She doesn't know me, but I still know who she is."

I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arm, and thought, "That is the kind of love I want in my life." True love is neither physical, nor romantic.

True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be.

"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything that comes along their way."

Trust the above story will touch your heart and lift you up,

Have a lovely day everyday,

Humility

It is very natural and great that you gain more confidence with every success. It is because you know that you can do it again – You tell yourself that you have done it before.

However you must not make the mistake of discarding your humility even thought your confidence level grows higher and higher. Humility is one of the great ingredients to continued success, apart from persistent, ongoing effort.

Humility will guard your heart and keep you reasonable, respectful, thankful, thoughtful and realistic – essential for continued success. It also reminds you that in order to receive value, you must create value in equal measure.

However, if you grow arrogant after a few accomplishments, you are not likely to have many more.

Thinking that you are entitled to something, just because you want it, is a reliable recipe for failure and disappointment.

It is worthy to note that it is certainly possible to accomplish things without humility, those accomplishments will be short-lived.

Always remember that those people who enjoy meaningful success and fulfillment year after year and decade after decade are those people who know the value of humility.

Therefore, you are ureged to be strong enough and smart enough to live with genuine humility. The rewards for doing so will show up throughout your whole life. You will reap what you sowed.

Wish you a very great success throughout your whole life,

A simple story of true love and care

I was born in a secluded village on a mountain. Day by day, my parents plowed the yellow dry soil with their backs towards the sky.

I have a brother who is 3 years younger than me. I wanted to buy a handkerchief, which all girls around me seemed to have. So, one day I stole 50 cents from my father's drawer. Father had discovered about the stolen money right away.

He made my younger brother and I kneel against the wall as he held a bamboo stick in his hand.

"Who stole the money?" he asked.
I was stunned, too afraid to talk. Neither of us admitted to the fault, so he said, "Fine, if nobody wants to admit, you two should be beaten!"

He lifted up the bamboo stick.
Suddenly, my younger brother gripped father's hand and said," Dad, I was the one who did it!"

The long stick smacked my brother's back repeatedly. Father was so angry that he kept on whipping my brother until he lost his breath. After that, he sat down on our stone bed and scolded my brother, "You have learned to steal from your own house now. What other embarrassing things will you be possibly doing in the future? You should be beaten to death, you shameless thief!"

That night, my mother and I hugged my brother. His body was full of wounds from the beating but he never shed a single tear.

In the middle of the night, all of sudden, I cried out loudly. My brother covered my mouth with his little hand and said, " Sis, now don't cry anymore. Everything has happened."I still hate myself for not having enough courage to admit what I did.

Years gone by, but the incident still seemed like it just happened yesterday. I will never forget my brother's __expression when he protected me.

That year, my brother was 8 years old and I was 11 years old.

When my brother was in his last year of secondary school, he was accepted in an upper secondary school in the central. At the same time, I was accepted into a university in the province.

That night, father squatted in the yard, smoking, packet by packet. I could hear him ask my mother, "Both of our children, they have good results? very good results?" Mother wiped off her tears and sighed," What is the use? How can we possibly finance both of them?"

At that time, my brother walked out, he stood in front of father and said,"Dad, I don't want to continue my study anymore, I have read enough books." Father swung his hand and slapped my brother on his face.

"Why do you have a spirit so damn weak? Even if it means I have to beg for money on the streets, I will send you two to school until you have both finished your study!"And then, he started to knock on every house in the village to borrow money.

I stuck out my hand as gently as I can to my brother's swollen face, and told him, "A boy has to continue his study; If not, he will not be able to overcome this poverty we are experiencing."

I, on the other hand, had decided not to further my study at the university. Nobody knew that on the next day, before dawn, my brother left the house with a few pieces of worn-out clothes and a few dry beans. He sneaked to my side of the bed and left a note on my pillow; "Sis, getting into a university is not easy. I will go find a job and I will send money to you."

I held the note while sitting on my bed, and cried until I lost my voice. That year, my brother was 17 years old; I was 20 years old. With the money father borrowed from the whole village, and the money my brother earned from carrying cement on his back at a construction site, finally, I managed to get to the third year of my study in the university.

One day, while I was studying in my room, my roommate came in and told me,"There's a villager waiting for you outside!" Why would there be a villager looking for me?

I walked out, and I saw my brother from a far. His whole body was covered with dirt, dust, cement and sand. I asked him, "Why did you not tell my roommate that you are my brother?"

He replied with a smile," Look at my appearance. What will they think if they would know that I am your brother? Won't they laugh at you?"

I felt so touched, and tears filled my eyes. I swept away dirt and dust from my brother's body. And told him with a lump in my throat, " I don't care what people would say! You are my brother no matter what your appearance is?"

From his pocket, he took out a butterfly hair clip. He put it on my hair and said, "I saw all the girls in town are wearing it. So, I think you should also have one."

I could not hold back myself anymore. I pulled my brother into my arms and cried. That year, my brother was 20 years old; I was 23 years old. I noticed that the broken window was repaired the first time I brought my boyfriend home. The house was scrubbed cleaned. After my boyfriend left, I danced like a little girl in front of my mother, "Mom, you didn't have to spend so much time cleaning the house!"

But she told me with a smile," It was your brother who went home early to clean the house. Didn't you see the wound on his hand? He hurt his hand while he was replacing the window."

I went into my brother's bedroom. Looking at his thin face, I fell like there are hundreds of needle pricked in my heart.

I applied some oilment on his wound and put a bandag on it, "Does it hurt? " I asked him.

"No, it doesn't hurt. You know, when at the construction site, stones keep falling on my feet . Even that could not stop me from working." In the middle of the sentence, he stopped. I turned my back on him and tears rolled down my face. That year, my brother was 23 years old; I was 26 years old.

After I got married, I lived in the city. Many times my husband invited my parents to come and live with us, but they didn't want.

They said, once they left the village, they wouldn't know what to do. My brother agreed with them. He said, "Sis, you just take care of your parents-in-law. I will take care of mom and dad here."

My husband became the director of his factory. We asked my brother to accept the offer of being the manager in the maintenance department. But my brother rejected the offer. He insisted on working as a repairman instead for a start.

One day, my brother was on the top of a ladder repairing a cable, when he got electrocuted, and was sent to the hospital.

My husband and I visited him at the hospital. Looking at the white gypsum on his leg, I grumbled, "Why did you reject the offer of being a manager? Managers won't do something dangerous like that.

Now look at you, You are suffering a serious injury. Why didn't you just listen to us?" With a serious __expression on his face, he defended his decision,"Think of brother-in-law. He just became the director, and I being uneducated, and would become a manager, what kind of rumors would fly around?"

My husband's eyes filled up with tears, and then I said, "But you lack in education only because of me!"

"Why do you talk about the past?" he said and then he held my hand. That year, he was 26 years old and I was 29 years old.

My brother was 30 years old when he married a farmer girl from the village. During the wedding reception, the master of ceremonies asked him, "Who is the one person you respect and love the most?"

Without even taking a time to think, he answered," My sister." He continued by telling a story I could not even remember.

"When I was in primary school, the school was in a different village. Everyday, my sister and I would walk for 2 hours to school and back home.

One day, I lost the other pair of my gloves. My sister gave me one of hers. She wore only one glove and she had to walk far. When we got home, her hands were trembling because of the cold weather that she could not even hold her chopsticks. From that day on, I swore that as long as I live, I would take care of my sister and will always be good to her."

Applause filled up the room. All guests turned their attention to me. I found it hard to speak, "In my whole life, the one I would like to thank most is my brother," And in this happy occasion,in front of the crowd, tears were rolling down my face again.

Love and care for the one you love every single days of your life. You may think what you did is just a small deed, but to that someone, it may mean a lot.

Have a nice day everyone! May this story inspire you in any way!

Turning weakness into strength

If you want to make progress, you should have the courage to clearly look at your weaknesses. What you will see in each and everyone of it is the potential to create powerful, effective new strength.

Jesus said that we had have trouble in this world so filled with sin,
But we need not be discouraged - He will give peace and joy within,
so long as we believe in Him.

Therefore, recognizing and admitting your own weaknesses is the first and bold step to move beyond them. You should not be ashamed of it. You must realise that every weakness is the promise of real strength. So just to tell yourself honestly that you need to work on, real progress will be surely yours.

Everytime you identify a weakness, you have found an opportunity, provided you doing something positivelyand effectively about it. You should not be holding back by it, instead you should create a realistic and workable path to success.

From each weakness, there is much you can learn. By understanding your limitations, you can find a way around them. God does not give us overcoming life, but life to overcome - more funs and colors for good.

Thereafter, work on getting rid of them completely. All your time and effort can be put into moving quickly ahead. Press on :-

To walk close by Your side, my dear savior.
To be led by you, doing each task,
That is right for You,
For every of Your purpose,
To glorify You forever and ever. Amen.

Discover the 90/10 Secret

Discover the 90/10 Secret: It will change your lifeby Arlen Busenitz <ab400@juno.com>

The 90/10 secret is incredible! Very few know and apply this secret. The result? Millions of people are suffering undeserved stress, trials, problems, and heartache. They never seem to be a success in life. Bad days follow bad days. Terrible things seem to be constantly happening.Theirs is constant stress, lack of joy, and broken relationships. Worry consumes time, anger breaks friendships, and life seems dreary and is not enjoyed to the fullest.. Friends are lost. Life is a bore and often seems cruel.

Does this describe you? If so, do not be discouraged. You can be different!.

Understand and apply the 90/10 secret. It will change your life! What is this secret? 10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react.

What does this mean? We really have no control over 10% of what happens to us. We cannot stop the car from breaking down. The plane may be late arriving, which throws our whole schedule off. A driver may cut us off in traffic. We have no control over this 10%.

The other 90% is different. You determine the other 90%! How? By your reaction.

You cannot control a red light, but you can control your reaction. Don't let people fool you, YOU can control how you react!

Let's use an example. You're eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter knocks over a cup of coffee onto your business shirt. You have no control over what just happened. What happens next will be determined by how you react. You curse. You harshly scold your daughter for knocking the coffee cup over. She breaks down in tears. After scolding her, you turn to your spouse and criticize them for placing the cup to close to the edge of the table. A short verbal battle follows. You storm upstairs and change your shirt. Back downstairs you find your daughter has been to busy crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus. Your spouse must leave immediately for work. You rush to the car and drive your daughter to school. Because you are late, you drive 40 miles an hour in a 30 mph speed limit. After a 15 minute delay and throwing $60 (traffic fine) away, you arrive at school. Your daughter runs to the building without saying good-bye. After arriving at the office 20 minutes late, you find you forgot your briefcase. Your day has started terrible. As it continues, it seems to get worse and worse. You look forward to going home. When you arrive home you find small wedge in your relationship with your spouse and daughter. Why? Because of how you reacted in the morning.

Why did you have a bad day?

A) Did the coffee cause it?
B) Did your daughter cause it?
C) Did the Policeman cause it?
D) Did you cause it?

The answer is D.
You had no control over what happened with the coffee. How you reacted in those 5 seconds is what caused your bad day.

Here is what could have and should have happened. Coffee splashes over you. Your daughter is about to cry. You gently say "It's OK honey, you just need to be more careful next time". Grabbing a towel you rush upstairs. After grabbing a new shirt and your briefcase. You come back down in time look through the window and see your child getting on the bus. She turns and waves. You and your spouse kiss before both of you go to work. You arrive 5 minutes early and cheerfully greet the staff. Your boss comments on how good of day you are having.

Notice the difference. Two different scenarios. Both started the same. Both ended different.

Why? Because of how you REACTED. You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% is determined by your reaction.

Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 secret.

=> If someone says something negative about you, do not be sponge. Let the attack roll off like water on glass. You do not have to let the negative comment affect you! React properly and it will not ruin your day.

A wrong reaction could result in losing a friend, being fired, getting stressed out, etc.

=> How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic? Do you loose your temper? Pound the steering wheel? (A friend of mine had the steering wheel fall off!) Do you curse? Does your blood pressure skyrocket? Do you try and bump them? WHO CARES if you arrive ten seconds later at work? Why let the blue car ruin your drive.

Remember the 90-10 principle, and do not worry about it!

=> You are told you lost your job. Why lose sleep or get irritated? It will work out. Use your "worrying" energy and time into finding another job.

=> The plane is late. It is going to mangle your schedule for the day. Why take out your frustration on the flight attendant? She has no control over what is going on. Use your time to study, get to know the other passenger, etc. Why get stressed out? It will just make things worse.

You now know the 90-10 secret. Apply it and you will be amazed at the results

Give it a try...and share us your result. Thank you in advance,

God bless,
